LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes [ Preview ]I've had a love/hate relationship with the LEGO games. I found the original LEGO Star Wars a blast, the second one a disappointment, and I thought the Indiana Jones games were just okay. Harry Potter's attempt at a LEGO game bored the hell out of me, and so, it's really been all over the place. Nevertheless, I've played the demo for LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes on the Nintendo 3DS, and I just have to say that I came away impressed and excited to get my hands on this game in the coming weeks.
The demo begins by throwing you [ ...More ]

Batman Arkham City Lockdown (iOS) [ Review ]Mobile releases usually come before or around the same time as the major platform releases. In the case of Batman Arkham City Lockdown, it was way after Batman Arkham City's console releases and even a bit later than the PC release. This game is a little prequel to the main game, but it won't really matter if the game is actually good on its own. Besides, it could serve as a cool Holiday gift due to its timing.
The plot is very simple; you are Batman and bad guys have escaped Arkham Asylum, so go round them up and put them [ ...More ]

Batman: Arkham City [ Review ]The first game, Batman: Arkham Asylum, drew from Batman fans, both old and new. The combination of seamless narrative, superb voice acting, fluid gameplay, and attention to detail made it a classic. Not long after its release, a sequel has already been planned. A few years later, here is the ambitious follow-up to that game. As a sequel, it's definitely twice what the first was.
The improvements in this game over Batman: Arkham Asylum are tremendous, to say the least. The environments are much more expansive, there's a greater variety of enemies and challenges, and it features many more characters from [ ...More ]

Batman: Arkham City - Pre-Order BonusesWe're getting much closer to the release date of Batman: Arkham City, and the retailers are spitting out their exclusive incentives to pre-order the game. It will be release on 10/18/11.
Let's start with Best Buy. If you pre-order Batman: Arkham City for any platform, you will get to play as Robin. This is very cool because Robin will have all of his own gadgets, completely separate from Batman's. He'll even have all his own moves and takedowns.
Pre-ordering Batman: Arkham City at GameStop will get you the "Joker's Carvnival Challenge Map". This doesn't surprise me, as Batman: Arkham Asylum's pre-order bonus with GameStop [ ...More ]

E3 First Impressions: Batman Arkham CityAfter waiting for a while and winning a t-shirt while in line I was finally treated to a showing of the Batman Arkham City demo here at E3. We were showed a lot but the focus points the team at Rocksteady wanted to get across was the scale of Arkham City and the expanded combat.
Right off the bat (no pun intended) we were a small dot on the screen as the camera showed a landscape of the massive Arkham City. This is a big change from the territory broken up Arkham Asylum we had in the last game. [ ...More ]

Batman Arkham City - Catwoman HD [ Trailer ]Batman Arkham City is a very big place, so big that there is more than enough space for a small cat to get in on the action. However this cat has claws and moves that will make you take notice. See the new video below and check out Catwoman, she's amazing and she's a playable character in the next version of the Batman series by Rocksteady/Warner Brothers Interactive. Her own story, her own moves, her own intentions and motivations will give you more to do than a cat on a hot tin roof (as the saying goes).
But don't rely on [ ...More ]

Batman: Arkham City Review [ Trailer ]According to Gotham City's mayor Quincy Sharp the best way to punish and rehabilitate insane villains and criminals is to give them more freedom. After the events of Arkham Asylum Mayor Sharp fortified the city's slums and welcomed the inmates to their new home - Arkham City.
Each villain gathered thugs to form gangs and claim their territories in Arkham City. Batman will also have more freedom to move and glide in this almost open world game. The Dark Knight's gadgets has been improved and he even gained new ones to fight the filth that roams Arkham City. [ ...More ]

Batman: Arkham Asylum Riddler ChallengesThe Riddler Challenges in Batman: Arkham Asylum can be a daunting task, there are a lot of them and they can be tricky, but that's why we are here.
The guide will be broken down by the two levels in which the challenges can be found. The challenges come in different forms such as,
1. Joker Teeth - These toy teeth wander around the floor and must be smashed with a batarang.
2. Interview Tape - Circular discs which hold taped conversations with Arkham's super criminals.
3. Spirit of Arkham - Stone slabs with a picture of a beetle. Examine in detective mode to [ ...More ]

Batman Arkham City Detective Mode DetailsSome details are being discovered through the cowl about the new detective mode in Rocksteadys follow up to their smash hit Batman Arkham Asylum. One thing is it seems the Riddlers Challenges will have a effect on your combat.
"The location of The Riddler's biggest secrets are known only to him and people he's told," the game's director Jamie Sefton Hill said, "Rather than unlocking their locations using maps, Batman will be able to scan a gang of thugs to find a potential informant."
"This is the guy you need to question, but first you'll have to take down all the other [ ...More ]

BATMAN: The Brave and The Bold [ REVIEW ]
As I previously stated, in this article, a review of this game MUST be done, so here I am, giving you spoiled children the inside out of this great caped crusader title.
Let's get some things straight first...this is not Arkham Assylum, it's actually more on the side of Lego Batman when it comes to mechanics and audience.
Now that you're "warned" about the kind of game this is, let's proceed!
I won't make this review a really long one, so don't worry, but in order to speak of this game I must do a small resume of the TV series Batman the [ ...More ]

Batman: The Brave and the Bold Release Date Wii-DSYes!!! The caped crusader it's back and it's in 2D!!
The series takes back the essence of the mythic Adam West's batman, not the bat-twist neither the Shark-Repelent, but the original spirit of the show, teaching our younglings about values and moral codes.
It may be naive yes, it's not The Dark Knight and it's certainly not written by Morrison but, it's Batman, theres no freaking doubt about it. The animation it's FLAWLESS and the show makes you think that it would've been great having this program when we were kids!

The game will hit the stores September the 7th, along with Spiderman: [ ...More ]

Batman Arkham City Screen ShotsAt first these images just popped up on a Flickr feed, but after looking closely they seem to be legit. The screens seem to match the images that were in last months GameInformer. These images give us a first look at Two-Face, and a little more of Catwomen. We even see Catwomen fighting Two-Face, which could mean we see the two sides of Catwomens character. This could add a great dynamic to the story.
Heck maybe Christopher Nolan will get an idea on how to adapt Catwomen to his films through all this.

Batman: Arkham Asylum
Batman becomes 70 years old this year, and the one they all call The Dark Knight has never been a more popular figure that he seems to be right now. Not only have we seen great success attached to recent movies in the Batman franchise, but the same can be said for the characters video-game exploits and that looks set to continue in Batman: Arkham Asylum.
As you would expect from a game spin-off from a huge movie franchise, Batman: Arkham Asylum boasts some incredibly impressive cinematic cut-scenes from the very beginning, and the gameplay looks set to match those movie sequences in terms of [ ...More ]

Lego Batman
The wonderful world of Lego is something everybody has grown up with, including you no matter how much you try to deny it. After taking on Indiana Jones, the little yellow Lego guys are now having a go at playing the role of the caped crusader in Lego Batman.
Lego Indiana Jones, released quite recently, proved a surprising success and boasted addictive gameplay at times - and not just for kids, or younger gamers as I prefer to call them. The graphics were as cartoon-like as you could have expected given the setting of the Lego universe with touches that reflected [ ...More ]
