| Trade is absolutely vital in this game, it is basically your main source of income and is a must to have big trade if you want to do well. Depending on which faction you are going, if you are one with a big sea interest, like England, Spain, France, Martha Confederacy, Ottoman Empire etc - One of your first goals (after you have made your home lands safer) should be to wipe out the pirates across in the Caribbean. Simply send over an army consisting of 2-3 Line Troops (or equivalent) , a General and 3-4 other regular troops and capture one of the pirate islands. Once this island is pacified some, move the army on to capture the other island, then not only do you have an added interest in N.America for trade, but you wipe the pirates out of the game, so one less risk to losing trade income. | ||

| Empire Total War: cheating with cheatengine | 65% | |
| Ok, first you'll have to have cheatengine, if you don't download it at www.cheatengine.org it's free. so start up ETW and load your campaign game, then switch with Alt+Tab and start Cheatengine. then click on de flashing button in the top left corner, the one with the little desktop on it. then a long list of processes pops up and you'll need to find your process. It's Empire.exe if I'm not mistaking, it's usuallly at the bottom of the list, then select the process and press ok. then go back to ETW, you could have done this before switching to cheatengine, and take alook at your money. lets say it says: 50000. remember the number, or write it down, then switch back to cheatengine and put 50000 in the box with Value: above it. make sure the two boxes below are Exact value and 4 Bytes, otherwise it won't work. then press first scan, you'll get a long list of adresses. Switch back to ETW and buy something, lets say a soldier of 650, so now your money will be 49350, go back to cheatengine and type 49350 and press next scan. Repeat this till there's only one adress left. then select the adress and click on the little red arrow next to the adresses list. then you'll have a line in the box below, doubleclick on the numbers it says below Value, and change it to any amount of money you want. go back to ETW and check the result! this can also be done with the population of cities, wich will decrease the amount of turn left till a village develops to a little city. so type the amount of population for lets say Paris and then click first scan. the go back to ETW and click next turn, and take a look at the population, it will either have gone up or down, so go back to cheatengine and type the new value, do this till there's only one adress left and do the same as with the money. But be aware that when you add a lot of population you will get food shortages, wich will decrease the population. Also with big cities like Paris you can add a lot of population lets say 500000, because then it will go up with lets say 15%, but if you add 500000 to a small city it will go up with 2000%! so then you will have a lot of trouble with food shortages and stuff. | Use your Inventions Properly!! | 60% | |
| There are several things you can do with your inventions on top of actually unlocking additional troops / buildings etc and once you start to use it, the game opens up much more. The first thing you can do is exchange your inventions with friendly nations for some of their inventions - I find it usually takes 2-3 if not 4-5 of my inventions to get 1 of theirs, but if they are allies (strong allies) then it does not really matter - you just want that extra technology. It is also good to exchange technology with nations that may not actually use them, like sea technologies with Russia etc in exchange for military or economic ones. The other excellent thing you can do is sell your Technologies (especially early in the game this is good) - You can sell to almost anyone, even unfriendly nations, but watch which technologies you sell to rivals! A good going rate is around 500 gold per technology, so if you are selling 2, ask for 1,000 instant payment, if your selling 5 - ask for 2,500 - 3,000 gold etc Can very quickly manage to sell around 20,000 worth of technologies to the various nations and 20,000 can go a long way! | ||

| Well hello guys,just got a new type of cheat how to cheat more.You must first have the Artmoney cheat program.If you want to finish the game quickly with all of the regions you could first go to diplomtics screen.Declare war with a country(for example France)than request peace with that country(France),offer and ammount of money of about 1 to 3 million,select the regions you want to take from the country and than finish negotiations with that country.You can either have one region or all of their regions.If did not understand something subscribe pls.Enjoy. | ||
