| Traps are a girls best friend (Lothering) | 100% | |
| Not sure how old these posts are by now I've known about this one since the game first came out basically just kinda stumbled upon it by myself accidentally because I clicked to fast and ended up talking to her again after I had completed the quest and its never been patched. Anyways saw the video about the bartender unlimited gold and the Ostagar EXP cheat so thought I post this. Also never actually seen this one posted anywhere oddly enough. OK she asks for regular spring traps buy 3 triggers for about 3 silver = 3 spring traps after you craft them She will give you 50 silver in payment plus XP in about 3 hrs time once you get the key or button rythem down you can max your lvl and have about 2k gold at least. that's how I've always done it. And since the baretender sells the triggers and has unlimited 99 supply or if you have the pocket plane mod can make traps all day long. Also I would recommend FastClicker.exe a freeware app you can set up a toggle key or something for your mouse buttons it helps sit there and set it for like 10 clicks a second toggle and make those 6k traps in like 30 min while your out smoking or whatever. Then the only hard part is still the repeated conversations with her but you can still simplify that I'll set my left click to my 1 button so its 1 to talk / esc / 1 / esc / esc / that's the conversation order then just repeat as many times as you want even after maxing lvl's you can still make about 1 gold in like 1.5 seconds doing this =P. Now though after I'm done with lothering I just use the toolset and max my lvl and give myself the gold and fix my stats so they look correct like I actually made 6k+ traps for her lol. Done it so many times honestly don't feel like wasting those 3hrs anymore or the hand cramps from pounding the buttons as fast as they can go. | ||

| Experience Glitch | 98% | |
How to: There is a quest glitch early in the game that allows you to complete part of it and gain experience. You just keep turning in the first part without completing the full quest. Doing this keeps gaining your character experience. I would suggest not leveling to much or it just ruins the game. But maybe to try a different character the 2nd time through so it is a little easier to get started. Cheat Video

Disable the Blood Dragon Armour content (and Collector's Edition content if you have it) and reload your game. It will give you a warning but ignore it and force load the game, immediately save your game and exit to the main menu once more. Enable the things we disabled before and reload your game. You now have 2 sets of Blood Dragon Armor! You can repeat this process as needed.

| Infinite Attributes Glitch | 96% | |
| Description: This has only been tested on the original release. A "sacrificial" stat is required -- one you do not need (for a Mage that would be Strength; for a Warrior or Rogue, Magic works). Head to the level up screen and put all of your points into the sacrificial stat. Click Next, then click Previous and then hit Reset. Manually remove the points to the sacrificial stat. You should now have 6 points rather then the 3 you put in. Choose Next a few times and then choose Play to save the changes made. Repeat this process. When the stat turns negative the game will regard it as 0 but you will still be getting points for it. However, in order to bring the stat back up you must put the amount you took from it back in, which is why the stat is "sacrificial." The most you can put in at a time is 100 points. | ||

| Duplicate Items | 96% | |
| You can duplicate gear, ingredients, potions, and other stuff as long as you already have two copies of the item you want to duplicate. It is best to only have the items you want to duplicate in both your Junk inventory and the merchant's. Put at least two of the item you want to copy in the "Junk" section of your bag. Go to any merchant and press sell all the junk in your bag. Now, select the item from the merchant's side, and buy back all but one of the item. Next, select it when it is in your inventory again. Press Y followed by A very quickly. This requires precise timing and may require a few attempts, but it becomes easy to do after a few tries. You can keep repeating the process until you have 99 of the item. You can use this glitch with any of the Tomes as well to give your character all magic abilities max attributes by duplicating the Tomes. | ||

| Alter game files at your own risk and always make backups! Make a shortcut for the file daorigins.exe found in C:GamesDragon Agebin_shipdaorigins.exe or wherever you installed the game and got to Shortcut Properties. Under Target, add -enabledeveloperconsole at the end so it looks like this: *** The file location will have quotation marks around it, like this "C:GamesDragon Agebin_shipdaorigins.exe". You need to make sure to add -enabledeveloperconsole AFTER the quotation marks, not inside of them, or the change will not work. "C:GamesDragon Agebin_shipdaorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole Now, open the keybindings.ini file found in the game folder (My DocumentsBioWareDragon AgeSettings). Then you will be able to press ~ (or the key above Tab) for the console. Note that you will not see the console but there will be a line of symbols in the upper part of the screen as you type. You might want to press backspace a few times before you start typing just in case. Enter the following cheat codes for the desired effect:

Talent Codes (for use with certain cheats, enter the number below for the desired talent)

They have decided to take the baby and raise it as their own. You will get the Meteor Ore that the baby came in. It can be made into armor by Wade in Denerim. Your best chance of getting this event is from one of the Chantry Board mission in Redcliffe. Travel straight from Redcliffe to Refugees.

| Redcliffe: Possessed child | 75% | |
| Once you reach Redcliffe, there will be an option to enter the Possessed boy, apart from killing him and confronting the demon inside of the boy. Do not kill the Possessed boy. Instead, choose the option to enter the boy and let the Blood Mage do his ritual. Once you are inside, talk to the father. Once that is done, you must talk to the boy and kill the demon inside him multiple times. Once you reach a certain part where you talk to the demon straightforward, try to talk with her. Talking with her( the demon) will get you more than just killing her. She will request that in exchange for her life, and the permission to enter the boy's body again in the near future, she will offer you gifts. One is a new specialization. Another is a certain rare item, armor, or weapon. Finally, is pleasure. Pleasure should not be an option, as it does not give you anything in exchange, not even an intimate scene. Select either the item or the specialization. However if you truly do not want to obtain anything useful, kill her. Killing her alone results in the same experience you would get from killing the boy, not to mention the previous times you have also killed her. | ||

| Instant gold with hex-editing | 70% | |
| 1/ You will need a Hex-editor. Make a backup copy of your saves before attempting this! 2/ Copy and paste these instructions into a notepad or something similar for better formatting. 3/ Open a proper game-save, not a quick-save or autosave, with the hex-editor. The location of your game-save will depend on the OS but mine was under "~\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Characters\". This folder will contain folders with your characters' names and their saves. The file of interests ends with ".das" 4/ In the hex-editor, go to offset 2650. Gold value is 4-byte in size and stored across offset 2654-2657 in little endian. Here are two examples Example #1: Offset 00002650 DC F7 09 00 4B 3A 00 00 46 00 00 00 1C F9 09 00 The gold value is "4B 3A 00 00", but this is in little endian so you will have to reverse the bit order to "00 00 3A 4B". Enter this hex value into any calculator to covert to decimal and the equivalent value will be "14923" coppers. This value is equivalent to 1 gold, 49 silvers, 23 coppers. Example #2: Offset 00002650 FF FF FF FF A7 A9 01 00 46 00 00 00 A0 CD 06 00 The gold value is "A7 A9 01 00", but this is in little endian so you will have to reverse the bit order to "00 01 A9 A7". Enter this hex value into any calculator to covert to decimal and the equivalent value will be "108967" coppers. This value is equivalent to 10 gold, 89 silvers, 67 coppers. 5/ So to modify example #1 gold value to say a modest 5000 gold, you will need to convert the decimal number to hex number. 5000 gold = 5000x100x100 coppers = 50000000 => "02 FA F0 80". Reverse the bit order to get "80 F0 FA 02". Enter this into offset 2654-2657. Example #1: original Offset 00002650 DC F7 09 00 4B 3A 00 00 46 00 00 00 1C F9 09 00 Example #1: modified Offset 00002650 DC F7 09 00 80 F0 FA 02 46 00 00 00 1C F9 09 00 6/ Save the modification and that's it. If you had modified the correct offset the game-save will load and you will now have 5000 gold. ***Do not change the offset 2654-2657 to "FF FF FF FF". You will get negative values!. 5000 gold is more than enough! If you are really greedy change the offset to "FF FF FF 00" and it will give you 16777215 gold!*** | ||

| Invinite xp | 69% | |
| On the urn of ashes mission. There is an area in between the ruins and the temple where you undergo trials for the urn. (where you see the dragon). Whenever you enter this area, you get experience. You can go in and out of this area and get as much experience as you want. I discovered this when I entered the area at two different times and and two different characters leveled up. | ||

| How to purchace high value items from merchant in camp twice. | 67% | |
| I have done this twice now and both times I was able to buy the high value items from Bodan the merchant in my camp. Using the exploit to amass large coin by right and left clicking on things I sell to double my money, you get enough coin to afford these high value items. Okay. When starting a new game, you first meet the merchant in lothering where you save him from darkspawn. The first time you leave Lothering you go to camp with the bad dream cutscene with Allistar talking to you about the nightmare..... Go to the merchant and with your money that you built up to by the magic tomes that add a spell/talent, buy all the best runes, buy the spellward amulat, and the Veshelle axe. Use his son to add the runes to the axe. Make sure you employ the same tactics when spending your money to build up cash. Buying and selling the axe over and over works great.... After you leave camp pick your party and go to Denerim. As soon as you arrive in Denerim, turn around and go back out to world map and go to camp. Go to merchant and all the top stuff you just bought will be for sale again. This way you get 2 sets of tomes, and axe for you and one for Lelliana, a spellward for you and one for Morrigan and full sets of runes for all..... Note, to equip these items, you will have to use the exploit to reassign points on your party.....I waited till everyone had gone up 2 levels, so I could go back and forth 9 points at a time....see the cheat on I mean.... Sorry about the shocking spelling. Please feel free to edit this into more straightforward advice. I hope that it works for others.... | ||

| Experience Glitch | 60% | |
| In the beginning of the game after you completed the part before you become a grey warden. "Duncan" will tell you to go into the "Wilds" and retrieve 3 vials of "Darkspawn Blood" and to look for "magically sealed" treaties. You need to go into the wilds and retrieve the vials of blood, but do not get the treaties. When you have the blood and not the treaties go talk to Duncan again, he will ask you if you have the blood and the treaties, you will say I have the vials of blood, but not the treaties. This will give you the experience of the mission and you can do this until you are done with the glitch or you can go all the way to level 25. Be careful tho because even tho you might become a high level the enemies will now be as high. And you wont have good enough equipment at that level then you would if you leveled up normally. This is a more explained version then the one I already saw posted. | ||

| Console commands and hex edit | 46% | |
| If you have a active memory editor like artmoney (highly recommended) you can search the memory between 20000000 and 30000000 when creating a new character for a float (?) to help you edit the number of points for your attributes. Easily can you start with 500 in all if that gets you off. Two, you can make a shortcut of the file daorigins.exe found in "C:\Games\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe" or wherever you installed the game and add " -enabledeveloperconsole" at the end so it looks like this: "C:\Games\Dragon Age\bin_ship\daorigins.exe" -enabledeveloperconsole then in game pres ~ for console. Notice you won't see the console but there will be a line of symbols in the upper part of the screen as you type. You might want to press backspace a few times before you start typing just in case. Then enter: runscript addxp X - adds XP in the amount of X runscript zz_money X - adds copper in the amount of X (1000 is 1 gold peace) runscript pc_immortal - you cannot die. Your health goes down but not below 0. runscript zz_addparty NPCname - Add party member by name runscript zz_addapproval X Y - This one adds approval to a character. runscript ai off - Turns off AI runscript selectparty - Party selection screen runscript chargen - Origin screen runscript pc_immortal - Player can't be killed, don't know if this applys to party members too runscript killallhostiles - Kills enemies I suppose, I haven't tested it yet Fill in one of the following numbers at X for the character and the amount you want to add at Y 1 - Alistair 3 - Morrigan 5 - Shale 6 - Sten 7 - Zevran 9 - Eiliana Thanks to fartman21, koospos and Styl3648 at gamespot for this. by Drakeus | ||
