How to: Add the -enabledeveloperconsole command line parameter to end of the "Target" field in the "Shortcut" properties that are used to launch the game.

Press ~ during game play to display the console window. Enter one of the following codes to activate the specified cheat function.

*** You will not see what is being typed and you may need to press [Backspace] to remove the "`" character if it is present in the console window.

How to: There is a quest glitch early in the game that allows you to complete part of it and gain experience. You just keep turning in the first part without completing the full quest. Doing this keeps gaining your character experience. I would suggest not leveling to much or it just ruins the game. But maybe to try a different character the 2nd time through so it is a little easier to get started.

1. Make a shortcut to your desktop of "daorigins.exe" from the program files directory..
2. Right Click the shortcut and click properties..
3. Under "Target" add the following: -enabledeveloperconsole (after — "daorigins.exe" ).
4. Open the keybindings.ini file, which should be located in "My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age\Settings\".
5. Locate "OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_X" (GRAVE is default, change X to any button thats not used by the game.)
6. Save the file.
7. Start the game with the shortcut you just copied to the desktop.
8. Once in the game, press the key that you used and then type any of the codes available here on the site..
9. The codes may not work on the Steam version. You also may not be able to see what you are typing and the controls could be invisable..



Description: This has only been tested on the original release. A "sacrificial" stat is required -- one you do not need (for a Mage that would be Strength; for a Warrior or Rogue, Magic works). Head to the level up screen and put all of your points into the sacrificial stat. Click Next, then click Previous and then hit Reset. Manually remove the points to the sacrificial stat. You should now have 6 points rather then the 3 you put in. Choose Next a few times and then choose Play to save the changes made. Repeat this process. When the stat turns negative the game will regard it as 0 but you will still be getting points for it. However, in order to bring the stat back up you must put the amount you took from it back in, which is why the stat is "sacrificial." The most you can put in at a time is 100 points.

Description: During the Tainted Blood mission, obtain all three Vials of Darkspawn Blood while avoiding, collecting the Grey Warden Treaties. After you have all the vials, talk to Duncan. While talking to Duncan choose the conversation selection, "We have the blood, but not the scrolls." The conversation will be over and you will get experience! You can do this as many times as you want and still get the experience.-- You can do it enough to hit the level 25 level cap.



Description: During the Tainted Blood mission in Ostargar, collect the three Vials of Darkspawn Blood but avoid collecting the Grey Warden Treaties. After you have the vials, talk to Duncan and choose the conversation option "We have the blood, but not the scrolls." The conversation will end and you will get experience! You can repeat the conversation and get the experience each time -- you can do this all the way up to the level cap at 25 (if you are patient)! You can click through the conversation fairly quickly once you've done it a few times.
