Protoxide: Death Race (iOS) [ Review ]There are a good number of games that combine racing with some destruction, and also features hovercrafts rather than wheeled vehicles in a sci-fi setting. A lot of it draws inspiration from material like Star Wars and maybe Mad Max, but with a bit of a twist every time. There is another game that can be added to that list, but for the iOS Protoxide: Death Race has quite a bold title, and it does a lot of other bold things as well to assert its relevance in this particular genre.
Protoxide is a straight-up racer, so the story is all [ ...More ]

Starcraft II - Defense for Each Race [ Guide ]A lot of players have not fully understood the true meaning of defense in Starcraft 2, only relying on whatever units are at hand to protect the base. This is a recipe for disaster as things can tumble down so easily with this kind of defense. It is critical that defense be treated as a priority and not just something that happens as a last resort to survive.
Good defense calls for the player in question to know what's coming, then reacting to it correctly. There is no such thing as a perfect defense as all strategies have their counters. [ ...More ]

Starcraft II - Terran Strategy: The Nuke Rush [Guide]Few things in StarCraft II can ever match the fury of a tactical nuclear strike, sent down from the heavens by a carefully positioned Ghost. It's like cleaning up a mess with magic, with enemy units disappearing all at once and buildings sustaining massive damage that would have taken over a minute to deal. It's usually reserved for the mid to late game as a defensive tactic or as an equalizer, but there is also a way to bring it in the early game to surprise the opponent.
Overview
Terran players don't need any logical reason for doing a nuke rush. [ ...More ]

Chernobyl Commando [Review]Most of the games churned out by the indie game development scene are pretty good, some of which even inspires awe and wonderment. However, there are some not-so-good ones that sneak past whatever filter there is and get released. Some are really bad, while most are mediocre at best. Chernobyl Commando is one of those titles, unfortunately enough. While it doesn't seem so bad at first glance, you then play it and see the cracks within.
Chernobyl Commando is a game about Captain Yuri Ryakov, who was sent to Chernobyl to intercept terrorists who are attacking the power plant. [ ...More ]

Resident Evil: Revelations (HD) [Review]Here is yet another Resident Evil game. Before the collective moan and groan, give this game a try before handing it a verdict, unlike what most did with the much-condemned but alright Resident Evil 6. It's a multiplatform re-release of the Resident Evil game for the 3DS from early last year. That's yet another HD remake by Capcom, so this may not get a vote of confidence from gamers right away. But at least it's still about the zombies.
Resident Evil: Revelations is set between the events of Resident Evil 4 and 5, just after the establishment of the Bioterrorism Security [ ...More ]
