| Its pretty simple. You have a car and want to win races. In SHIFT, the tuning options available will make your car scream and put a smile on your face. Every car has a number of performance upgrades available from new tires to a more powerful engine to aerodynamic body paneling, the power is yours to turn your car into a snarling, race-winning beast in SHIFT. But be wary, over-tuning your car can have disastrous effects on race day, leaving you struggling behind the pack, or worse, careening into wall after wall. | BEST Way To Level Up | 65% | |
| There are two ways to do this: 1: The Aggressive Way Buy any Lamborghini and tune it up to your likings (I personally prefer the Mucielago with a works upgrade). Go to Quick Race, and select Myatomi (I apologize if my spelling is incorrect). Choose 20 laps with 15 opponents. Now you can have some fun, and reason why I chose the Lambo is because, for some reason, if you speed up and hit an opponent's car from behind, it lifts up and flies over you and comes crashing down (I think its because of the Lambo's very low nose), counting as a dirty overtake trade paint spin opponent and sometimes it even counts as tapping out an opponent. Be sure to keep your points multiplier on the 2x zone ALL THE TIME. Depending on how well you destroyed your opponents, you will get points ranging from 9000 to 14000, with the cash reward of your podium position. 2: The Precise Way (I prefer this way) Buy any drift car and tune it up to your likings (I personally prefer the Mazda RX-7, fully upgraded but WITHOUT A WORKS UPGRADE, the way I see it, Works Conversions ruin a car's ability to drift). Go to Quick Race, and select Myatomi. Choose 20 laps with any number of opponents. The way to drift on this track (using the Mazda RX-7) is to floor the throttle to the corner and keep the throttle planted through the drift and only release it just before exiting the bend to straighten out for the next bend, but soon, with perfection, you will NEVER have to leave the throttle. It will take you about 3-5 laps to perfect it. (It took me 3 laps). You will get points ranging from 8000 to 15000 PER ROUND depending on well you can drift. Do the maths, and you will see that you can receive anywhere between 24000 to 45000 points, and the cash reward of your podium place. some people say that Tokyo is the best drifting track, but I did this experiment: I timed myself for both Tokyo an Myatomi, and found out that in same time it took me to get 65000 points on Tokyo, I got 97000 on Myatomi. Many people speculate that there are other better ways of leveling up, but trust me, this IS the best method. I have nearly perfected this game: I only have a few more stars to achieve and I am on Level 50 (with a precision icon :) any most badges). | In menu, go to quick race and choose 20 laps and 15 opponents. Then choose the track Myatomi. Then choose the Nissan GTR, with the WORKS upgrade. You will get 20.000,- cash, for winning, and you will get from 8.000 to 16.000 driver points. (Other cars can be used to, but the GTR is very powerful, and you will get many Spin Opponent, and Take Out Opponent points.) I used 2 hours to get from Driver level 13 to 40! Benz98 | ||

OK now go get all the upgrades including WORKS buying the car,upgrades and WORKS should cost about $822,000. Then get bbs lm rims 18 in. after that get the firey vinyls done you have created a 731hp 744.05lb. torqued monster I like to call the Firey Dragon. This car can beat every other on the game. Its rating is 20.00 the 2nd best rating on the game don't forget to tune it to match your driving style! | ||

| After loading up Career Mode, go into the quick race option. Then, select 1 lap, 0 opponents and the race track called 'Myatomi.' It should be about 0.38 miles long and it is a simple oval. Do the race with a tier 2 or above car. You can take your time as you have no competitors. When you finish, it will say that you came first even though you were racing against no-one. You will get $8,000! *note that the higher your tier, the higher the cash. | ||

| On any tier, but especially in tier two and above you can go to the quick race menu and enter in any of the races against "0" competitors and win the cash every time. No matter how bad or good you race. For example: every upper tier 'race' you win for tier 3, you recieve 20k. It's a good way to hone your skills and get the car you want as well as the money to max it out and get the works packages. Woody | ||

| When you buy a car in the higher tiers (3,4etc), they will cost heaps as you know. So when you want to try something out and scared that it will suck, buy it anyway. If you do buy it and it does suck, then you can always sell it back for the same amount. For example, I bought a Chevrolet Corvette for about 220K, and upgraded it to the max. I tried to sell it and was offered $822,000! So in other words, spend the money you get because you can always sell it back! | ||
