When buying a part for a sword or spear, the +/- values change every time you go into the list. So to make sure that you're getting the absolute highest attack or defence rating for your yen, select 'Buy', check the stat amounts, cancel out, then select 'Buy' again. The value continually change, and you'll soon find the best ratings.

First you have to have some money at least say 2000 yen what you have to do is start a new game and once you have go to takatane village stay their don't leave go directly to dojima younger and purchase what you want be sure to use all your money then press L1 and ask for your money back after you kill him get your money search his body you get better items on hard difficulty then go to any merchant you want and repeat then go to map exit Amana and reset and save your game then very important sell all the items you don't want on your next game and rake in the money and items
