The first major expansion pack for the massive online combat game MAG, this Interdiction Expansion Pack comes with three new maps, and, most importantly, an entirely new mode called Interdiction. In Interdiction, all of the points are neutral at the start of the game, and thus it falls to players to fight over who will hold the points. Because this game type relies on speed, players are only given one part of the world they can spawn in, and are then tied to one of eight APCs their team has. The APC serves as the player's only mobile spawn point, and since they're bonded with it for the duration of a match, players have to coordinate with their squad and army in an effort to attack and defend both the points and their vehicles.

In addition to Interdiction Mode, there are three new maps designed to maximize this new format of combat. These giant stages force players to stay mobile, creating situations where players are constantly battling for points, rather than one army camping in one area in an effort to stave an onslaught. Players swarm over the map, APCs are driving all over the place in a mad dash to assist teammates and suss out enemy weak points, and everywhere you look people are dying. This is the next evolution of MAG.
