| Drive Distance: 1. When driving with the wind at your back, add ten (10) clicks of backspin in order to get the ball in the air for greater carry. 2. When driving against the wind, decrease ten (10) clicks of backspin in order to get the ball underneath the wind and for greater roll. Approach Shots to the Green: 1. Shooting Into the wind: Pick a club that multiplies the wind m.p.h. by two times more yardage (i.e. for a 150 yard shot with 10-m.p.h. wind against, use a 170-yard 5 iron. - 10-m.p.h. wind * 2 = +20 yards). 2. Shooting with the wind: Pick a club that when you add the wind m.p.h. and club yardage equals the actual distance to the hole. (i.e. for a 140 yard shot with 10-m.p.h. of wind, use a 130-yard PW.) 3. Side Winds: When shooting into a 20-m.p.h. side-wind, adjust your alignment to the hole by half the 20-m.p.h. side-wind or 10 clicks to the left or right of the golf hole. Chipping around the Green & into the hole: Add full top-spin to your ball, minus one click, and begin chipping for a low smooth roll to the hole. Limit the amount of Power Boost Red you use throughout your golf game. For greater accuracy and less duffs & Tops, do not swing into the Power Boost Red. Getting out of the Traps: Buried Ball in Sand: Triple the distance to the hole and begin swing. - (i.e. For a 20 yard sand shot, plan to hit the ball 60-yards in order to clear trap.) Half-Buried Ball in Sand: Double the distance to the hole and begin to swing. (i.e. For a 20 yard sand shot, plan to hit the ball 40-yards in order to clear trap.) Not-Buried Ball in Sand. Add Half the distance to the hole and begin swing. (i.e. For a 20 yard sand shot, plan to hit the ball 30-yards in order to clear trap.) Putting: Use the lines to your advantage. This technique requires a memory of the greens and excellent hand-eye coordination. You must imagine the break of the ball and then move your line-cursor to the appropriate location. How to Carry a Trap on an approach shot: Add 10-yards to your club selection when trying to carry a trap and stick ball on green. | ||
