| How to win all games with S-Rank | 79% | |
| 3.1.1~. Nankatsu vs. Ito EVENTS: 1- During the match's first half and after you've scored a goal with someone else, pass the ball to Tsubasa in the ground and shoot. You will score 2- Win by exactly 6-0. This is a pretty easy match, as soon as you get the hang of it. You may want to press "Y" during confrontations, so that you can see the stats of your characters and see if they can manage to beat their current opponent or not. Strike with Kisugi, Tsubasa, Taki and Izawa and you'll do fine, but be sure to recall that in order to gain some extra bonus you need to win this match by exactly 6-0, as they did in the manga. 3.1.2~. Nankatsu vs. Ohtomo EVENTS: 1- When Tsubasa has the ball, have him confront Urabe, Nishio, Kishida or Nakayama and try to dribble (upper option). They'll use their special tackle 2- When Nitta has the ball, have Tsubasa tackle him (upper option) and you will gain its possession 3- After "1" has taken place, have Izawa pass the ball to Tsubasa in the opponent's side of the field and have him shoot in the air, he'll end up scoring a goal 4- After "3" has taken place, and during the match's second half, pass the ball to Tsubasa in the opponent's side of the field and shoot from a ground position. You will suffer a goal 5- Win by exactly 3-1. This team's strongest player is clearly Nitta, and so you may want to take the ball away from him as quickly as possible, or perhaps try to deplete his AP by forcing him to use his dribble repeatedly. If he indeed shoots at your goals, use Morisaki's special catch. Apart from that, this match is fairly easy. Try to tackle your opponents whenever possible and advance by using either Tsubasa or Taki (his special dribble is quite good) you should strike with Tsubasa and Kisugi for an easier time scoring. As for the events here available, "2" is slightly harder to achieve I suggest you have Tsubasa (when he has the ball) approach Nitta, then pass the ball to his opponent and finally tackle him. Also, be sure to remember that in order to achieve all the events at once (hence winning a "S" rank in this match) you can't suffer any goals other than the one scored by Nitta's Hayabusha Volley. 3.1.3~. Nankatsu vs. Azumaichi EVENTS: 1- When Tsubasa has the ball, have him approach Souda and dribble (upper option). He will lose the ball to Souda's Kamisori Tackle, and you will also suffer a goal 2- After "1" has taken place and before having scored any goals, pass Tsubasa the ball inside the opponent's goal area and use his Overhead Shot 3- In the second half, have Tsubasa shoot from the ground. He will try to use his Drive Shoot, but he won't be able to score 4- After "2" has taken place, and with the game's score then being 1-1, have Ishizaki pass the ball to Taki 5- Win by exactly 2-1. As you may be expecting, this team's strongest player is Souda. He is a tough defender, but fortunately he doesn't use his Kamisori Shot all that often. Sure, he can score a goal with event "1", but other than that he won't cause you all that much trouble. Instead, focus on scoring with Tsubasa or Kisugi, one goal in the first half and another in the second half. If you're having trouble with either "1" or "2", I suggest you pass the ball to Tsubasa and have him dribble (or run) across the field to the required areas, then pass the ball to someone else (Taki is a good option) and back to Tsubasa. 3.1.4~. Nankatsu vs. Hanawa EVENTS: 1- After scoring your first goal, have one of the Tachibana twins dribble to your field. They'll try to use their triangle shot from early in the show 2- After "1" has taken place, when Hanawa is attacking and Ono has the ball, they'll score a goal by using their new Skylab Hurricane 3- After "2" has taken place, if you're winning 2-1 and the second half begins, you'll see this event where Tsubasa gets hurt (and you will suffer another goal) 4- After "3" has taken place, when the Tachibana twins are attacking you will see this action-packed event 5- Win by exactly 3-2. Since the Masao and Kazuo Tachibana don't use their special moves all that often, this match is a lot easier than you may be expecting. Strike with all your might - the opponent's goalkeeper is rather feeble - and you'll win, but be sure to follow the events stated above for an easier "S" rank here, and several new (and important) moves, specifically Morisaki's special punch (arg, if we can call that a punch...). 3.1.5~. Nankatsu vs. Hirado EVENTS: 1- Have Taki try to dribble (upper option) past Jitou. You will be scored a goal 2- When Tsubasa has the ball, have him approach Jitou and shoot. He will miss his shot 3- When Sano has the ball and is approaching your penalty area, have one of your defenders try to stop him with a tackle (upper option). You will be scored another goal 4- When Sano has the ball and is approaching your penalty area, this event may take place. You will be scored yet another goal 5- After "1", "3", "4" have taken place, and you're playing in the second half of the match, have Tsubasa shoot in the ground from the opponent's side of the field. He will score a goal and obtain his Drive Shot 6- After "5" has taken place and Tsubasa has the ball, have him approach Sano (alone) and select his Drive Shot. You will score another goal 7- When the game is 3-3, pass the ball to Taki and have him try to dribble past Jitou once again. This time, Kisugi will score a goal on his own 8- Win by exactly 4-3. The single most important thing about this match is unlocking Tsubasa's fantastic Drive Shot. Without it, you can make it as far as this tournament's finals, but it'll be close to impossible to win it. So, even if you're not looking to grab your "S" rank right away, follow all the events up to "5" and be sure to unlock Tsubasa's new special shot. As for the match itself, the biggest problem is that you have absolutely no room for error here, if you're looking for the "S" rank. Strike with either Tsubasa or Kisugi and you'll do fine, provided you try not to face Jitou in direct confrontations. 3.1.6~. Nankatsu vs. Furano EVENTS: 1- When Tsubasa has the ball and is confronting Matsuyama, pick "dodge" (upper option). He will lose the ball 2- When Taki has the ball, have him confront Matsuyama and pass (left option) the ball. You'll see Furano's "Avalanche" move 3- After "2" has taken place, have Morisaki punch (right option, but you can use your special if you have one) away one of the opponent's shots. You will suffer a goal 4- After "3" has taken place, pass the ball to Tsubasa in the opponent's side of the field, when Matsuyama is just near him, and use the Overhead Shot. You'll score a goal 5- After "4" has taken place, and in the second half of the match, have Izawa pass the ball to Tsubasa, and then Tsubasa pass it back to Izawa, with both players unmarked. You will score another goal 6- After "5" has taken place, and when Matsuyama has the ball, have Tsubasa tackle (upper option) him. You'll suffer a goal 7- After "6" has taken place, and you're in injury time, have Tsubasa (alone) shoot a Drive Shot from your half of the center of the field. You will score a goal. 8- Win by exactly 3-2. Once more, you should do EXACTLY as I tell you above, for the "S" rank and to get everything this match has to offer. Concerning event "3", be aware that Morisaki must be able to punch away the required shot, and so you may want to use his special defense to defend a special shot (yes, it counts, I tried it myself). You may also have some trouble with event number "6", but the easiest way to get that one is to do the same thing I advised you with Nitta - pass him the ball, coming from a Tsubasa placed right in front of him, and then tackle him. 3.1.7~. Nankatsu vs. Touhou EVENTS: 1- Have Izawa pass Tsubasa the ball by the ground (i.e. they need to be near each other), and then use the Drive Shot 2- When Koike has the ball in your side of the field, this event will take place and Hyuga will score a goal 3- After "1" has taken place, and when Tsubasa has an opponent right in front of him, use the Drive Shot and you'll score 4- After "3" has taken place, have Tsubasa pass the ball to Taki 5- After "3" has taken place and Hyuga has the ball, have Tsubasa approach him. You will be scored a goal 6- After "5" has taken place, this event will take place after Hyuga tackles the ball out of one of your players and dribbles to your field with the ball. You will be scored another goal 7- After "6" has taken place and Kisugi has the ball, have him approach Hyuga and try to dribble (upper option) past him. You will score a new goal when Tsubasa counters Hyuga's Tiger Shot 8- During the game's second half and when Ishizaki has the ball, have him confront Hyuga in Touhou's side of the field. You will score a goal 9- After "8" has taken place, have Tsubasa (alone) use his Drive Shot 10- In the first half of extra time, use Tsubasa's Drive Shot (alone) and you will score a new goal 11- In the second half of extra time, while Hyuga the ball and he is advancing to your goals, have Takasugi confront him 12- "Win" by exactly 4-4. This one is possibly this game's most difficult (or one of the most difficult...) match. You have to do exactly as I told you, and suffer no goals, to obtain the prized "S" rank here. Fortunately, most of these events are pretty easy to spot, except for number "8", which is... let's put it like this, it took me almost three hours to spot it, mostly because you cannot change Ishizaki's position in the field so, your best option is probably changing the formation of your team to 3-6-1, which will make Ishizaki a middle-fielder and put him in a much better position to spot that particular event. Since this match is certainly hard and you have no room for error, there is a small bug you should take advantage of: in the screen that appears whenever the match is interrupted, select the third option and you'll be taken back to the main screen, with your game saved in the current position. Next, go back to the story mode and pick the third option instead of the second one (which would be "load"), which will enable you to restart from where you last saved instead of starting it all over, as you'd normally have to do if, let's say, you were scored an extra goal. Don't be bothered if you can't pull all these events at once and in your very first try... you can come back here later (after completing "Shin Captain Tsubasa"'s tournament once, that is) and try to do better, and I really think you'll need it. 3.1.8~. Nankatsu vs. Nakahara EVENTS: 1- Reach the end of the first half after scoring at least five goals 2- After "1", this happens automatically at the beginning of the second half 3- Just after "2" has taken place, have Aoi (with the ball) be confronted by either Takasugi or Ishizaki. However, this event will NEVER take place if Aoi has confronted Tsubasa before 4- After "3" has taken place, throw the ball to the outside of the field by one of the sidelines. This match is unlocked by having a "S" rank in all the other seven matches that preceded it, in case you're wondering about it. Now, this one is obviously quite easy, but the event "3" is quite hard to spot if you don't know what you're doing. The easiest way to prevent Tsubasa from confronting Aoi is to adjust the position (NOT the formation of your team!) of your three midfielders, so that Tsubasa is placed in one of the sides instead of the center of the field. Once you've done that one, the rest is a lot easier. Oh, and no, if Aoi has already encountered Tsubasa there's nothing you can do, you'll have to restart this match all over again. 3.2.1~. Japan vs. Germany's best EVENTS: 1- When Hyuga has the ball, have him confront Schneider and try to dribble (upper option) past him. You will suffer a goal 2- Use Nitta's Hayabusha Shot, Souda's Kamisori Shot, Matsuyama's Eagle Shot and Masao's (or Kazuo's) Skylab Hurricane. Wakabayashi will defend them all, and you'll see this event 3- After "1" has taken place, when Kartz is advancing to your field, you will see an event following which you'll suffer another goal 4- When the second half of the match is about to take place, and the score is still 0-2, substitute Takasugi for Izawa. Then, when Schneider has the ball, have Izawa approach him and you'll end up suffering yet another goal 5- When the score is 0-5 and the second half is between minutes 20 and 30, pass Hyuga the ball near the opponent's goal area and you'll finally score a goal 6- Lose by exactly 1-5. This match isn't very hard, but it's pretty hard to score any goals to Wakabayashi, if you're aiming at doing so on your own. Well, fortunately you don't have to do so, and so you can simply sit back and enjoy the ride you'll be offered here. Concerning event "3", this one tends to happen if Kartz has the ball and is reaching the middle of your field alone. Sometimes he will pas the ball to someone else, and that doesn't count if that happens, simply get back the ball, pass it back to him and hope for the best. For event "4", apart from the required substitution you may also want to change Izawa's position with Souda's (i.e. move him to position 3), which will make it easier for your to accomplish the task at hand. Also, be sure to notice that after event "4", and before "5", you'll need to suffer two goals. In worst case, pass Wakashimazu the ball and have him walk into your own goals for those two extra ones, but be sure to do it quickly and in time for that last in-match event. 3.2.2~. Japan vs. Italy EVENTS: 1- Make an aerial pass to Tsubasa when he is in Italy's side of the field, and have him keep the ball (upper option) 2- This one happens just after "1", Gino defends Tsubasa's Drive Shot 3- In the second half of the match, try to pass the ball with anyone in the opponent's side of the field. You will be scored a goal 4- Substitute Sawada for Misaki. After "3" has taken place, pass the ball to Misaki and have him approach one of Italy's defenders, you'll score a goal 5- After "4" has taken place and you're in injury time, use Tsubasa's Heel Lift against a defender inside Italy's penalty area. You will score a goal and Hyuga will learn his Neotiger Shot 6- Win by exactly 2-1. This is an easy match, but try not to underestimate your opponents, since their normal shots can actually score to Wakashimazu. Just in case, always try to prevent them from reaching your penalty area, and if they indeed get there, then be sure to use one of Wakashimazu's special moves to stop the attack. All the events here available are pretty easy to unlock, just be sure to place Tsubasa near the penalty area when the conditions for "5" are about to get in place. Be sure to remember that this particular event unlocks Hyuga's strongest shot, and you may want to have it in the future... 3.2.3~. Japan vs. Argentina EVENTS: 1- When Diaz has the ball, have Matsuyama confront him. You will suffer a goal 2- After "1" has taken place, when Diaz has the ball have Tsubasa confront him. You will be scored another goal 3- After "2" has taken place and Misaki has the ball, have him confront Diaz. You will be scored yet another goal 4- After "3" has taken place, have Tsubasa do a ground pass to Hyuga and you will score your first goal 5- After "4" has taken place, have Tsubasa do a pass to one of the Tachibanas (Masao or Kazuo). You will score another goal 6- After "5" has taken place, and in the second half of the match, have Hyuga (with the ball) confront Pascal. When they are alone in front of each other, shoot (right option). You will score a goal 7- After "6" has taken place, substitute the Tachibana twins (i.e. Masao and Kazuo) for Sano and Izawa. Then, when Diaz has the ball and he enters your side of the field, this event will take place and you'll be scored another goal 8- After "7" has taken place and Matsuyama has the ball, have him confront Diaz. When they're alone in front of each other, use Matsuyama's Eagle Pass to get the ball to Tsubasa. You will score a new goal 9- After "8" has taken place, substitute Hyuga for Misugi. Then, have Misugi shoot (right option) from the ground. He will score a goal 10- Win by exactly 5-4. Another not-so-strong team, and even if you're not following the events you can do well by keeping Diaz away from your penalty area. Now, if you are doing so, you'll probably notice that the first two events may sometimes be slightly hard to spot if you're having trouble with them, use the same trick from before - pass the ball to the required character, move them just in front of the required opponent and finish by pass the ball to the very first opponent they wish to face... if done correctly, this will lead to the stated event in an easier-than-expected fashion. From a more realistic standpoint, and as stated above, this match is not that hard, and if it weren't for the events I can assure you you'd be able to defeat them without much effort just - and believe me, I can't stress this enough - be sure to take the ball away from Diaz as quickly as possible, since (either with events or without them) he can cause you some trouble if you give him the opportunity to do so. 3.2.4~. Japan vs. France EVENTS: 1- When Napoleon has the ball, have Souda confront him. You'll be scored a goal 2- After "1" has taken place, have Hyuga pass the ball to Tsubasa. You'll score a goal 3- After "2" has taken place and Napoleon has the ball, have Souda confront him inside the penalty area. You'll be scored a new goal, and Souda will get his second yellow card 4- After "3" has taken place, have Misaki pass the ball to Hyuga. You'll be scored another goal 5- After "4" has taken place, have Tsubasa shoot (right option) in France's side of the field. This time, you'll score another goal 6- Substitute Sorimachi for Misugi, and then switch his position with Matsuyama's. After "5" has taken place, and during the game's second half, start by having Tsubasa confront Pierre, and try to dribble past him. Then, get the ball to Misugi and have him pass it to Tsubasa, with both players unmarked in France's side of the field. You'll score a new goal 7- After "6" has taken place, substitute Izawa and Sano for the Tachibanas (Masao and Kazuo). With both players in France's side of the field, have Misaki pass the ball to Hyuga. You'll be scored another goal 8- Score a goal on your own, and keep the game 4-4 until you run out of all extra time. The PKs are scored as part of this event 9- Tie by the game by 4-4. This match is not that hard, just try to keep Pierre and Napoleon from shooting and you'll do fine. Scoring to this goalkeeper is also incredibly easy, even if you're not going to follow the events Hyuga's Neotiger Shot, for example, can score him rather easy goals. Concerning the events, for "1" and "3" use the same technique as before. I doubt you really need any help for the others, just follow exactly what I tell you to do. 3.2.5~. Japan vs. Germany EVENTS: 1- When Schester has the ball, have Misaki confront him 2- After "1" has taken place, when Nitta has the ball in Germany's side of the field, shoot with him 3- After "2" has taken place, When Tsubasa has the ball, have him confront Kartz and try to dribble (upper option) past him 4- After "3" has taken place, wait until Margus and Jitou are just near each other and pass them a (long) aerial ball. If done correctly, they will both jump at the same time and lead to this event, where you'll end up suffering a goal 5- After "4" has taken place, and Tsubasa is unmarked in Germany's side of the field, shoot (right option) with him 6- After "5" has taken place, and Schester has the ball, have someone from your team approach him. You'll end up scoring a goal 7- After "6" has taken place, and during the match's second half, this one will occur when Wakabayashi first touches the ball 8- Right after "7" has taken place, move Tsubasa to Germany's side of the field and shoot with him from the ground. You will score a new goal 9- After "8" has taken place and Schneider has the ball, have Ishizaki confront him. When they're right in front of each other, use Ishizaki's Face Block (his special block, done by selecting the right option) and this event will take place. You'll be scored a goal 10- After "9" has taken place and Schneider has the ball, have Matsuyama confront him 11- After "10" has taken place, and you're just in the middle of injury time, have Misaki pass the ball to Hyuga (who should be near Germany's penalty area). You'll score a goal 12- Win by exactly 3-2. Not only is Schneider the strongest attacker available in this game, but Germany's goalkeeper, Muller, is also the strongest in this game (on par with Wakabayashi, I gotta say). Scoring to this will be very hard, if you are not following the events, and you will certainly have some trouble defending your goals from Schneider's shots. You can probably defend fairly well by now, and you should use all your skills to stop Schneider from ever attacking your goals alone. As for scoring, well, your best options are either attacking with your best shots (i.e. Tsubasa's Twin Shot, Hyuga's NeoTiger Shot, and so on...) from inside the penalty area and hoping for the best. You can also try to deplete Muller's AP and then hit him with random special shots, that seems to work well, too. Concerning the events, as you can see there are plenty that require you to confront character X with character Y. The only tip I can give you is using the save/load method from before (remember, the third option from the screen that appears whenever the ball leaves the field?), so that you won't spend a lot of time attempting to perform what should be seen as a fairly easy task. If you're not being able to do, just reload that last saved point and you'll do fine. Also, event "4" deserves to be mentioned for its difficulty. I gotta tell you the truth, it depends solely on luck, and if you're going for that one try to monitor Jitou's and Margus' positions by looking at the lower screen, where you see the location of all players. Sooner or later, their positions will be on top of each other, and you can then pass the ball to Jitou, so that they confront each other in an aerial battle, as you seek. If you're following the events, this match ends up being a lot easier than if you're doing it on your own... either way, you may want to do the events at least until "8", so that you're winning without have to spend a lot of time (and AP) shooting at Muller. 3.4.1~. Touhou vs. Musashi EVENTS: 1- Have Sawada pass the ball to Hyuga. You will score a goal 2- After "1" has taken place, score two more goals with Hyuga. This event will then take place 3- After "2" has taken place, have someone from your team confront Misugi when he has the ball. You'll suffer a goal 4- After "3" has taken place and you're in the second half of the match, have Sawada (with the ball) confront Misugi in the opponent's side of the field, you'll end up being scored another goal 5- After "2" has taken place and you're less than 10 minutes away from the end of the match, have Hyuga (with the ball) confront Misugi 6- Win by exactly 3-2. This is an easy match. Although most of their players are above average, they won't pose you much trouble. Their only really notable player is Misugi, who also has heart problems, and you can use that flaw of his to your advantage. Go ahead, this is just a videogame, nobody's going to blame you for your horrible act! 3.4.2~. Touhou vs. Matsukami EVENTS: 1- When one of your opponent's players is advancing towards your goals, have one of your players confront him. This event will take place, where you'll end up scoring a goal 2- When Sawada has the ball, have him confront one of the opponent's players and try to dribble (upper option) past them. He will score a goal 3- Let one of Matsukami's strikers enter your penalty area and try to shoot unmarked. This will lead to an event with Wakashimazu 4- During the match's second half, and after "1" has taken place, have Sawada pass the ball to Sorimachi. You'll score a new goal 5- Win by exactly 4-0. Easy match, if you're following the events be sure to notice that you'll have to score a goal yourself, since the events only give you three. 3.4.3~. Touhou vs. Chubu EVENTS: 1- After Sorimachi has scored two goals, make him an aerial pass (he must be unmarked when he receives it!) and shoot (right option). You will score a goal 2- After you've scored four goals, pass the ball to Sorimachi and shoot (right option) with him unmarked and from the ground. You'll score another goal 3- After you've scored seven goals, pass the ball to Sawada and shoot (right option) with him unmarked and from the ground. You'll score yet another goal 4- Win by exactly 8-0. This team's biggest strenght is the fact that they tend to block most of your shots, making it harder for you to achieve the final result you're given here. If you properly think about it, you just have to score five goals (three others are provided by the events above), and so I suggest you only shoot when the player doing so doesn't have anyone right in front of them, which exponentially reduces the probability of your shots being blocked or cut. Wakashimazu can easily stop most of the opponents' attacks, and so you should mostly focus on scoring the required number of goals, whether you're trying to get the "S" ranking or not. 3.4.4~. Touhou vs. Meiwa Higashi EVENTS: 1- When Sawada is in the opponent's side of the field, ha | ||
