BioShock Infinite Boss Battles [ GUIDE ]
BioShock InfiNite: Bosses
Final Fight - Command Deck - Hand of the Prophet
Never take on a Patriot straight-on...
These are the first of the tough enemies you come across in the game and you'll
encounter them more than a few times. The Patriots are designed behind one of
the three founding father figures.
You will always encounter one Patriot during the game at different stages and
if you are playing on Hard then they can be a little more than just a little
pain. But still, they are manageable.
The best Vigor against the Patriots is the Shock Jockey. So keep Shock Jockey
equipped when you see a [...More
Five TV Shows That Would Make Great Games
In light of the recently released and horribly disappointing The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, I was thinking about TV shows that could make really fun, or at least interesting, video games if they were pulled off with some dignity. And as I tend to do, I decide to throw together a list of those potential show-to-game adaptations, with my hopes for what each one could be penciled in for those interested.
Honorable Mention 1. Dexter (Showtime)
To be fair, a Dexter video game already exists on iOS devices and it has been relatively successful, so that's why I'm not including it on [...More
Total War Battles: Shogun (iOS) [ Review ]
Under the Sega banner, The Creative Assembly's best known work, the Total War franchise, has thrived and expanded beyond most people's expectations. It is now the realization of its namesake. With its success, there are now efforts to cross over to other platforms, namely the iOS. Here is Total War Battles: Shogun, a mobile strategy game unlike most.
The gameplay looks like tower defense at first, but then becomes more strategic wherein you maximize your forces' effectiveness, despite the limited size, by countering whatever your enemy has. Being able to maximize your troops then becomes a balance of macro and micromanagement, [...More
Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation (iOS) [ Review ]
So far, first person shooters for the iOS have garnered mixed reactions from mobile gamers. While it has been progressing well in terms of graphics and feel, there are still kinks to be fixed in general like controls and overall feel of the game. With the touch and tilt interfaces, there are definitely not the same as using a controller pad or keyboard and mouse. Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation seeks to close the gap for FPS games between mobile platforms and the bigger ones.
The gameplay is arcade and straight-up, with none of the tactical nonsense going on. [...More

Rift Combat [ Guide ]
The combat system in Rift is pretty par for the course to most MMORPGs.
When right click players will physically attack (also called auto-attack), using a ranged or a melee weapon, the target of their click. If they have a pet it will also send their pet to attack that same target.
Keep in mind that the pet will only attack the target your attack if its "stance" is set to "Defensive". There is 3 pet "stances" in total, the other 2 being; "Aggressive", where the pet will attack any hostile entity it spots, and is thus pretty much uncontrollable. [...More
Dragon Age II Combat [ Guide ]
Story progression hinges on your tactfulness in advancing conversations with the various NPCs and also on your ability to survive in battle. And there will be many, many battles to come. While not radically different from other RPGs of the same vein, Dragon Age's formula does have a few quirks that would doubtlessly raise some very valid questions.
The overriding objective of any battle is to overpower opponents using a well-balanced combination of physical prowess and tactical might. But there are also a plethora of additional factors that determine how well you will fare in battle.
Stamina/Mana: The rogue's/warrior's and mage's energy [...More

Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty
Starcraft II is, as we've said in the past, the sequel to arguably the best real time strategy game of our time. With it's release now less than 11 weeks away we take another look at Blizzard's latest creation.
If you remember the original Starcraft you will remember it's winning combination of addictive gameplay and in-depth tactical functionality before anything else. Thankfully it looks like Blizzard have not strayed too far away from those roots with Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty.
STARCRAFT II: WINGS OF LIBERTY TRAILER
Needless to say the visuals have been enhanced tenfold (if not more-fold!) in Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, but [...More
