Nintendo E3 2013 Report Card (Super Mario 3D World and Smash Bros.!)
Nintendo bummed out their fans when they announced that they were cancelling their plans for a traditional press conference presentation at this year's E3. That being said, Nintendo didn't just abandon E3 completely. They decided to host a Nintendo Direct conference instead, hosted by Satoru Iwata, focusing on many upcoming games for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
There was a lot riding on Nintendo's Nintendo Direct conference, but I personally think they dropped the ball. To find out why, check out my score at the bottom of this article. And in the meantime, also check out my complete recap of [...More

WRC FIA World Rally Championships 3 [ Review ]
The world of rallying is perhaps one of the more intriguing types of motorsport on the planet as competitors are required to be familiar with a myriad of driving surfaces and conditions, as well as almost always being faced with the daunting task of driving through relatively unknown terrain, which is why the driver is never without the navigator. There have been rally racing games in the past, including those that bear the name of the late great Colin McRae. The latest WRC title continues the tradition of realistic rally racing in video game format.
Driving is perhaps something intuitive to [...More
The Secret World [ Review ]
Everybody loves a game with a good back story. Unfortunately, most games, specifically RPGs and MMOs, focus more on graphics and combat rather than a plot that can enthrall gamers along with the experience. Thus, Funcom’s The Secret World can be considered as a breath of fresh air in an otherwise saturated world of elves, wizards, and the lore of fantasy and mysticism.
Imagine a world where every significant event in history, every historical society, as well as everything that we have perceived to be imagined, are connected, and that there are goings on under the modern world that regular people [...More

2011 Spike Video Game Awards Round-Up
On Saturday 10th, 2011, Spike aired their annual video game awards show, the VGAs. Many gamers discount the actual awards portion of the show due to questionable award winners in the past (note: the main character in Black Ops, someone whose name I can't even remember, received Best Character in a year that included Shepard from Mass Effect 2 and John Marston from Red Dead Redemption), but still many tune in. Why? Because the best part of the VGAs aren't the awards--on the contrary, it's the exclusive reveals and announcements that pop up during the course of the show.
While not [...More

Another World - 20th Anniversary (iOS) [ Review ]
Perhaps not a lot of people have owned an Amiga during the 90's, but those who did may have had the good fortune of playing Another World, which is now seen as a classic game nowadays. The cinematic effects and cutscenes were beyond what was thought to be possible during that time.
This 20th anniversary edition has been released for the iOS, catering to both fans who are looking for [...More
