After traversing the difficult terrain of the broken up highway, you are getting closer to your quarry. PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale - Major update
Back on July 30th, I covered PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale with an extensive "all you need to know" article that covered the stages, weapons, and characters announced for the game at that point in time, while also speculating about possible future characters being revealed for the game. Well, since that has been published, another eight characters have been revealed for the game, bringing the official roster count up from 12 to 20.
Also announced for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is the new Cross-Buy promotion. When purchasing select PS3 games, you will receive a download code to download the Vita version for [...More
PlayStation All-Star Battle Royale - What to Expect [ Editorial ]
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is an upcoming fighting game featuring many of the flagship exclusive characters to the Sony PlayStation Systems, and itís uncannily similar to that of the Super Smash Brothers series in many ways. Itís being developed by SuperBot Entertainment along with help from Sonyís fabled SCE Santa Monica Studios (the geniuses behind the God of War series).
First off, yes, itís very similar to Super Smash Bros. It has similar graphics, gameplays, and mechanics. But there are plenty of subtle differences. Instead of getting knocked off the stage to die, and becoming increasingly light according to your percentage [...More
PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale - All you need to know
PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale is Sony's answer to Super Smash Bros., and I think it's fitting that in a week that saw me write a wishlist for the mysterious Super Smash Bros. 4, that I also take the time to cover Sony's upcoming brawler. Fans of Sony have been waiting for an answer to Smash Bros. for ages, and a multitude of information has been released regarding the game since its announcement a few months prior to E3 2012. This editorial will examine the roster and stages already announced, plus add a wishlist of what we'd like to see, and [...More
Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale [ Preview ]
Crossover battles have been all the rage in recent years. Weíve seen X-Men and Marvel Comics characters duke it out with Street Fighter and other Capcom players, Marvel vs. DC, and of course, the much hyped Street Fighter and Tekken series, with both Capcom and Namco each taking a turn in developing their own games featuring the characters from these two famous fighting franchises. However, perhaps the most famous, at least to Nintendo fans, mash up of characters fighting each other is the Super Smash Bros. series, where famous Nintendo characters such as Mario, Link, and several others duke it [...More
REVEALED: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale!
Itís about time. The success of Super Smash Bros. has, surprisingly, NOT yielded any clones from competitors. The only thing that really has come close was Jump! Ultimate Stars and it was exclusive to Japan. Sony has finally thrown their hat in the ring with PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, a Smash Bros. clone that looks to dethrone the king of crossover fighters.
The development team is SuperBot Entertainment, a team reportedly comprised of people with a lot of fighting game experience, with developers from the UFC Undisputed series as well as Mortal Kombat working on the project. SuperBot Entertainment has collaborated [...More

There are plenty of puzzle platformers these days that introduce new mechanics for you to find your way from the start to the end of the level. However, it's not often that you see such games with such refined design that makes you feel as if it's the first game of its kind that you've ever played due to the uniqueness of the gameplay mechanics and the level of quality in its aesthetics. The Swapper is such a game that really digs deep into your senses and your mind.
The Swapper by Facepalm Games is a puzzle platformer that is like [...More
Starcraft II - Terran Strategy: The Nuke Rush [Guide]
Few things in StarCraft II can ever match the fury of a tactical nuclear strike, sent down from the heavens by a carefully positioned Ghost. It's like cleaning up a mess with magic, with enemy units disappearing all at once and buildings sustaining massive damage that would have taken over a minute to deal. It's usually reserved for the mid to late game as a defensive tactic or as an equalizer, but there is also a way to bring it in the early game to surprise the opponent.
Terran players don't need any logical reason for doing a nuke rush. [...More
Chernobyl Commando [Review]
Most of the games churned out by the indie game development scene are pretty good, some of which even inspires awe and wonderment. However, there are some not-so-good ones that sneak past whatever filter there is and get released. Some are really bad, while most are mediocre at best. Chernobyl Commando is one of those titles, unfortunately enough. While it doesn't seem so bad at first glance, you then play it and see the cracks within.
Chernobyl Commando is a game about Captain Yuri Ryakov, who was sent to Chernobyl to intercept terrorists who are attacking the power plant. [...More
