Harley Quinn's Revenge [ Editorial ]
Batman: Arkham City was one of the best games of 2011. I was vehemently against Arkham Asylum -- it just didn't meet the hype for me, but Arkham City absolutely blew me away. It was like Arkham City was the game that everyone thought Arkham Asylum was. I loved writing my guides for it on Cheat Masters and I loved reviewing the game as well. It was an absolute blast. Even with stiff competition from games like Skyrim and surprise hits like Dead Island, Arkham City remains my favorite game of 2011.
As such, I was extremely excited when I found [...More
Harley Quinn's Revenge [ Review ]
Within just a small amount of time, Batman: Arkham City has become a modern classic with its dark mystery and very engaging storyline. The story ended with a bang, and Arkham is left to pick up the pieces. It’s not a fairy tale ending, but it is an ending, nonetheless, and gamers have nothing more to do than drop their controllers and get on with their lives.
However, this new DLC from Rocksteady games for Batman: Arkham City pulls you back into the game. Harley Quinn’s Revenge is an extended chapter into the lives of Batman, Robin, Oracle, and everyone in [...More
Batman Arkham City Lockdown (iOS) [ Review ]
Mobile releases usually come before or around the same time as the major platform releases. In the case of Batman Arkham City Lockdown, it was way after Batman Arkham City's console releases and even a bit later than the PC release. This game is a little prequel to the main game, but it won't really matter if the game is actually good on its own. Besides, it could serve as a cool Holiday gift due to its timing.
The plot is very simple; you are Batman and bad guys have escaped Arkham Asylum, so go round them up and put them [...More

Batman: Arkham City [ Review ]
The first game, Batman: Arkham Asylum, drew from Batman fans, both old and new. The combination of seamless narrative, superb voice acting, fluid gameplay, and attention to detail made it a classic. Not long after its release, a sequel has already been planned. A few years later, here is the ambitious follow-up to that game. As a sequel, it's definitely twice what the first was.
The improvements in this game over Batman: Arkham Asylum are tremendous, to say the least. The environments are much more expansive, there's a greater variety of enemies and challenges, and it features many more characters from [...More

E3 First Impressions: Batman Arkham City
After waiting for a while and winning a t-shirt while in line I was finally treated to a showing of the Batman Arkham City demo here at E3. We were showed a lot but the focus points the team at Rocksteady wanted to get across was the scale of Arkham City and the expanded combat.
Right off the bat (no pun intended) we were a small dot on the screen as the camera showed a landscape of the massive Arkham City. This is a big change from the territory broken up Arkham Asylum we had in the last game. [...More
Batman Arkham City - Catwoman HD [ Trailer ]
Batman Arkham City is a very big place, so big that there is more than enough space for a small cat to get in on the action. However this cat has claws and moves that will make you take notice. See the new video below and check out Catwoman, she's amazing and she's a playable character in the next version of the Batman series by Rocksteady/Warner Brothers Interactive. Her own story, her own moves, her own intentions and motivations will give you more to do than a cat on a hot tin roof (as the saying goes).
But don't rely on [...More

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes [ Preview ]
I've had a love/hate relationship with the LEGO games. I found the original LEGO Star Wars a blast, the second one a disappointment, and I thought the Indiana Jones games were just okay. Harry Potter's attempt at a LEGO game bored the hell out of me, and so, it's really been all over the place. Nevertheless, I've played the demo for LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes on the Nintendo 3DS, and I just have to say that I came away impressed and excited to get my hands on this game in the coming weeks.
The demo begins by throwing you [...More

Virtual City 2: Paradise Resort (iOS) [ Review ]
The iOS has become a platform that accommodates both the simple and the complex among gamesOne genre that has been the cross between both is the simulation game, wherein players can manage their own operation. A good example would be Virtual City 2: Paradise Resort, the sequel to the original Virtual City. The first one was a good game in itself.
As a sim, this game is quite hefty on its own. The sheer amount of buildings and other things you can use to construct your resort is just staggering. The complexity of this game is such that people who really [...More

E3 Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City Floor Demo
This game was not even on my list of big games coming out going into the show but it really surprised me. It is a lot of fun, and is much different than any other Resident Evil game out there. In the game you are actually Umbrella Operatives sent in to clean out the infected of Raccoon City and you do this in a awesome extremely visceral way. You have cool melee combat and some cool weapons at your disposal. The game does a good job of making you feel like a B.A. but as always you are still vulnerable [...More
