In the Main Menu highlight the Option. Press R2 and Circle.
Complete Arcade Mode without continuing to unlock a hard difficulty setting.

Play through survival mode and defeat more than 9 enemies to unlock extra mode in the options menu. Continue defeating more enemies in survival mode to unlock more survival games in extra mode.
Win the game with a character to unlock their images in the picture gallery.
Defeat more than 10 opponents to unlock a bonus mode. Keep winning to unlock more modes.
Complete Arcade Mode without continuing one to unlock the highest difficulty level this only work in survival mode.
To unlock high speed mode, win 100 fights in survival mode with one character.
