I Am Alive (PC) [ Review ]
Survival horror is a genre that some companies that are famous for have started to drift away from, while other developers have started to explore and expound on. Games like Resident Evil did their part to build the genre, only to turn towards more action-oriented gameplay later on to tap the mainstream market. However, the genre is still quite attractive to today's gamers who like to feel the thrill of staying alive amidst seemingly insurmountable odds. Here is Ubisoft's crack at it, now available for the PC.
The game had been released in Xbox Live Arcade last March and in PlayStation [...More
I Am Alive [ Review ]
I Am Alive is a survival horror game created by Ubisoft under its Ubisoft Shanghai Development Studio. Set in the dystopian future one year after the cataclysmic event, gamers play the character of Adam, a survivor amidst the ruined buildings and ash-filled air searching for his wife and daughter. Players control Adam via a third person traversal mode, with first person mode kicking in when aiming and shooting, providing better controllability when climbing obstacles, as well as trying to shoot at locks or enemies.
The game originally started development in 2008 under the Darkworks Studio and was then passed onto Ubisoft [...More
Dead or Alive 5 - Unlocking Secret Characters [ Guide ]
Dead or Alive 5 is the most recent installment in the hugely popular DOA series of fighting games. The franchise has spawned spin-off series and even a film adaptation, and fans of the fighting games seem to never tire of the intense combat and detailed graphics that each installment seems to improve on with every incarnation. Of course, having sexy babes in skimpy outfits and bathing suits battling each other as the main premise of the game isn’t all that bad, either!
With Dead or Alive 5, there are a total of nineteen playable characters to choose from, consisting of DOA [...More
Dead or Alive 5 [ REVIEW ]
Dead or Alive 5
Six years after the last game in the story line came out, we saw the game
Dead or Alive 5 come out this month. Dead or Alive has been around for a long
long time now but the core development team has changed a lot since the
last game. Expectations were luke warm at most for the game with most people
unable to figure out what to expect from a franchise which did not take itself
too seriously till now - even thought the games which were released had nice
runs and decent receptions.
Dead or Alive for me always put a picture of [...More

Star Trek: The Video Game [Review]
Perhaps one of the big fantasies that geeks have when it comes to games is a Star Trek game that holds up to how the show was. This game based on the new Star Trek movies is perhaps the closest that we now have to that fantasy, compared to those of yesteryears that were featured in an episode of Angry Video Game Nerd. However, it may have just been the continuation of that tradition.
The cast of the new movies lent their voices to this game, which makes for pretty good cutscenes and in-game banter. The relationship between the young James [...More
