Set in the dystopian future one year after the cataclysmic event, gamers play the character of Adam, a survivor amidst the ruined buildings and ash-filled air searching for his wife and daughter. Players control Adam via a third person traversal mode, with first person mode kicking in when aiming and shooting, providing better controllability when climbing obstacles, as well as trying to shoot at locks or enemies.
