Pokemon Black and White Starter Pokemon [ Guide ]One of the most important decisions in video games is deciding which Pokemon to start with. Hmmmm maybe I can lend a flame to your darkness.
This choice is a very important choice, because, unless you decide to ditch your starting Pokemon at some point, it ultimately helps shape your team in the long run. Keep in mind that all three starter Pokemon are perfectly capable and can be functional throughout the game. They do have different strengths and weaknesses, aside from just the type chart, but there isn't necessarily a 'wrong' choice. I also want to say that I've personally [ ...More ]

E3 2012: Nintendo 3DS (Mario and Pokemon!)Following a humorous introduction by Reggie Fils-Aime, Scott Moffit took the stage. This gentleman showed up at the Nintendo press conference on Tuesday, being the main presenter for the 3DS. It was there that this extra conference was announced, which has time set out to focus entirely on Nintendo's eighth generation handheld system, the 3DS.
Reflection
The first revealed was a third-party offering that fans of the original DS should be absolutely excited for. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate was shown off a lot more extensively during this conference, and my god, it looks absolutely phenomenal. [ ...More ]

Pokemon Black&Pokemon White Dual-Type Battle Chart[ Guide ]This guide is dedicated to my friend, Jamie, and all those newcomers to the series with Pokemon Black and White. I hope that this chart at least helps you all get into this wonderful game and makes it a little more enjoyable. This guide is based off my dual-type chart for Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green. It has been modified to fit the need for Pokemon Black and White. I have tried to simplify things from my previous version, so things may appear slightly different.

Pokemon Black and White can be purchase separately. One game is independent of the other, but where's the satisfaction in that if you can have both? Better to have two games for twice the fun!

Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver - Walkthrough - Part 4: The Big City [ Guide ]Now that the second Gym Leader has been defeated, we’re all done with Azalea Town (you can visit Kurt to have him make more Balls out of Apricorns if you want though).
Azalea Town
Exit the Gym, heal up, and SAVE. Now walk west towards the building connecting Ilex Forest to Azalea Town. The red-haired kid shows up and battles you. He has a Gastly, Zubat, and the starter he had at the beginning of the game (although it’s evolved by now, like yours should have). As usual, the fight against the evolved starter (since it has a type advantage) is annoying, [ ...More ]

Pokemon games: Catching Legendaries [ Guide ]Catching them the non-Master Ball way, of course.
These are the general guidelines as to what to do when confronting any Pokemon that you only get one chance to battle. Most Legendaries fall under this category. (NOTE: Entei, Raikou, Latias, Latios, and Suicune (Suicune in Gold and Silver versions does not fall under this category, but Suicune in Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver versions does) have different strategies; these will be covered immediately afterward.)
For any stationary Legendary that you choose when you fight it (assuming you’ve progressed to certain points in the games’ storylines, of course), the number one rule is to [ ...More ]

Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia (NDS)- ReviewIn our minds, the precise explanation as to why we didn't really get on with the original Pokémon Ranger and yet love its sequel, Pokémon Ranger: Shadows Of Almia, is likely to go down as one of the greatest mysteries of our time. Well, probably. The reason for the confusion lies with our general preconceptions with how Pokémon games and their sequels work: one game sets the benchmark (Ranger, Mystery Dungeon, Red/Blue) and then The Pokémon Company reuses that game over and over with a few subtle tweaks until the end of time. With that being the case then, we [ ...More ]
