To view the movie, go to the Title screen where it says "Press Start" and hold down L1, L2, R1, R2, Then press start and select at the same time. The movie will then play.

Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation (iOS) [ Review ]

So far, first person shooters for the iOS have garnered mixed reactions from mobile gamers. While it has been progressing well in terms of graphics and feel, there are still kinks to be fixed in general like controls and overall feel of the game. With the touch and tilt interfaces, there are definitely not the same as using a controller pad or keyboard and mouse. Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation seeks to close the gap for FPS games between mobile platforms and the bigger ones. The gameplay is arcade and straight-up, with none of the tactical nonsense going on. Rift Combat [ Guide ]

The combat system in Rift is pretty par for the course to most MMORPGs. When right click players will physically attack (also called auto-attack), using a ranged or a melee weapon, the target of their click. If they have a pet it will also send their pet to attack that same target. Keep in mind that the pet will only attack the target your attack if its "stance" is set to "Defensive". There is 3 pet "stances" in total, the other 2 being; "Aggressive", where the pet will attack any hostile entity it spots, and is thus pretty much uncontrollable. [...More ]

Dragon Age II Combat [ Guide ]

Story progression hinges on your tactfulness in advancing conversations with the various NPCs and also on your ability to survive in battle. And there will be many, many battles to come. While not radically different from other RPGs of the same vein, Dragon Age's formula does have a few quirks that would doubtlessly raise some very valid questions. The overriding objective of any battle is to overpower opponents using a well-balanced combination of physical prowess and tactical might. But there are also a plethora of additional factors that determine how well you will fare in battle. Stamina/Mana: The rogue's/warrior's and mage's energy [...More ]

Five ways Microsoft can convince me to buy the Next Xbox

On May 21st at 9AM Pacific, Microsoft plans on revealing the next-generation Xbox console to replace the Xbox 360 as Microsoft's flagship console. Xbox 720, Xbox Fusion, Xbox Infinity, or whatever it winds up being called, will be Microsoft's first steps into the eighth generation. I already have a Wii U, and I plan on buying a PS4, but have my reservations about picking up the next Xbox due to blunders this generation such as the Red Rings of Death. But I can be won over. And here's how. The list is numbered five to one, but there's no real particular [...More ]

2Fuse (Mobile) [Review]

Touchscreen mobile devices have proven to be great gaming platforms, especially with the casual gaming crowd. Most of the games that have become hits in these platforms are lightweight and simple, proving that even with all the big games with sophisticated graphics and such, there is still room for simple games for quick spurts of entertainment, which is what mobile platforms are definitely good at. 2Fuse by Mojo Forest is one of those games that is all about the modern handheld arcade experience. Each round of 2Fuse has a time limit of about a minute, in which you must collect the [...More ]

StarCraft II - Zerg Strategy: ZvP Fast Hive Ling-Ultra [Guide]

The Zerg vs Protoss matchup in StarCraft II has always been quite contentious since the start of Wings of Liberty. Protoss has a lot of ways to exploit the squishiness of their bug counterparts, while the Zerg does well in spreading the Protoss thin and picking at the weakest points of defense. Here's a strategy for Zerg that brings about a new way of thinking, albeit a risky one. Overview During Wings of Liberty, Zerg had come up with a mostly Roach-based strategy to deal with Protoss, including the ridiculous 12-minute Roach max build that hit them with the force of a [...More ]

StarCraft II - Zerg Strategy: 2-Base Muta [Guide]

Learning how to play Zerg well is not exactly a cakewalk. Out of all the three races in StarCraft II, Zerg has the most tedious fundamentals of all. You have to make drones and queens, make units, make overlords, inject larvae, spread creep, scout, and so on while the other two races don't have as extensive of a checklist. With that in mind, beginners don't have much room for a build order. There's this one though, which is pretty easy to follow and use. Overview The increase in speed of the Mutalisks in Heart of the Swarm makes it a deadly unit [...More ]
