Walk with the close up view 100%
First of all you need a propeller nozzle (the thing that makes you run faster), and then you press Y to go into close up view. Hold down R halfway and you'll be walking. I found this trick in the hackers manual at my friend's house.

Enjoy!

Sunglasses and Hawaiian Shirt 100%
Want to see Mario in a different costume/outfit than his trademark blue overalls and red shirt? How about putting on some shades and slipping into a shirt that would make even Tom Selleck jealous? The shades are easy to get. Look for a man with black sunglasses in the hub world (he's at the beach, close to the fruit stands) or in most of the other levels and chat to him. When certain conditions are met, he'll give you a pair of sunglasses to wear, which will darken your screen appropriately. Note, the sunglasses will disappear the moment you step into another level or restart the game.
The same guy will also give you a Hawaiian shirt -- but you've got to do some work first: finish the game. If you've saved your game after you win the last big boss, you will be able to get your shirt anytime you chat to this guy.

Return to the Airport 100%
Once you've won the game (and saved it), you will be able to go back to the Airport from the beginning. It'll cost you 10 coins, a boat close to the clocktower where you find Yoshi will take you to the Airport level -- The level is filled with coins and fun stuff to do. Have Fun and Give it a try!

Mario's Inventory: 1-Up Mushrooms 100%
If you see a green-and-white speckled Mushroom with two eyes, pick it up. In later Stages, 1-Up Mushrooms are intentionally positioned so you lose a life trying to reach them. 1-Up Mushrooms are awarded after collecting 50 Gold Coins in one Episode. They are found in crates or sitting in alcoves, waiting to be picked up. Certain Piantas and creatures also drop 1-Up Mushrooms. They add a life to your total, and give you full health and full water. If you release a 1-Up Mushroom, and don't stand under its shadow, most of the time, it will try to avoid you, so don't commit suicide trying to reach them.

Bubba-Proof 100%
In Gelato Beach and other levels where there are Bubbas (the big red fish that drags Mario underwater), you can keep them from doing this attack with this little trick.

Pick up a piece of fruit and start swimming with it. It will enable a glitch where they cannot drag you. This is very useful for the Red Coin Shine in Gelato Beach.

Feed the Yoshi Remotely 100%
If you need to dismount Yoshi for a long time and do not want it to run out of juice, leave Yoshi near some fruit and it will auto-feed itself when it's juice meter dips low.

Even Faster Lives 100%
Go to Pianta Village and Choose the episode titled "Piantas in Need" and save all the Piantas and the villagers who gave you blue coins before will now give you 1-ups instead.

Music Fudging 100%
This trick works on the Gelato Beach level in the stage, "Wiggler Ahoy! Full Steam Ahead!". Battle Wiggler as usual, then, when you've ground pounded the worm the 3rd time, you will hear the boss music slow down. Before the Shine Sprite appears, press Z to view your map.

If you timed the Z press correctly, you will hear the slower remix of the boss music! In the map mode, hit cancel, then IMMEDIATELY press the Z button again to listen to a much faster remix! This doesn't give you any extra lives or anything, BUT it is useful if you love game music!

Yoshi spin jump 100%
You can use Yoshi to jump much higher than the normal yoshi hover jump by rotating the analogue and pressing A, the spin jump can be executed as with Mario as well but you have the added bonus of being able to hover by holding A at the peak of the jump.
Was this: (-)Bogus or (+)Helpful

Conserve Lives 100%
To build up Mario's stock, try to quit stages when you are about to die. This would apply to stages like the racing stages (with the Islander who likes to race) and some of the mini-stages (like the Pachinko stage).
If you can restart the stage easily (and quickly), you should learn to quit when Mario is in danger of dying. This will let you have a large stock of lives to tackle stages and mini-stages that you want a lot of lives to spend on (the Dead Leaf in a Dirty Brook mini-stage comes immediately to mind).

Types of Coins 100%
Gold Coins - Find Gold Coins floating in the air or above ground level. Certain Levels have unlimited numbers. Almost every creature gives out a Gold Coin when dispatched, and they appear after a Red Switch Plate is pounded. Each Gold Coin gives you one health point, or one underwater air point. Collect 100 or more of these Coins during one episode to recieve an extra Shine Sprite. Use Gold Coins as payment for certain Pianta services in Delfino Plaza.

Blue Coins - Your secondary task throughout the game is to collect Blue Coins. They can be awarded by a character found floating in the air, on top of platforms, or under graffiti or gained by other methods! Each Blue Coin grants you two health segments or two underwater air points. Visit the Raccoon Hut in Delfino Plaza to trade 10 Blue Coins for a Shine Sprite.

Red Coins - Slightly larger than Gold Coins, Red Coins appear only in specific Episodes, usually with instructions to grab all eight. You recieve a Shine Sprite when you collect all of them. They too give you two health points or two underwater air points.

Yoshi's Juice has more of an effect than just killing enemies. There are yellow "blankets" over important spots all over Isle Delfino and the different worlds. Spray Yoshi's Juice at the yellow slop and it will begin to disappear. When it finally goes away, go ahead and take the prize (or jump in for a suprise).

Free Shine Sprite, Blue Coin, and Mini Level 67%
In Delfino Plaza, there are several spots in which the game creators have hidden a Shine Sprite, a Blue Coin, and a Mini Level. You will need to have unlocked the Turbo Nozzle. Equip it, and then head to the Pianta Statue in the main square. There is a Shine Sprite in the building with the tall tower (left of the Raccoon Hut). It has closed "saloon" doors. Use the Turbo Nozzle to smash through it and claim your prize. The next "saloon" door is behind the policemen, where you started in Delfino Plaza. Smash through those doors to find a Mini Level. The final "saloon" door is by the Lighthouse, in the water. It is inside one of the rocky pillars coming out of the water to the right of the Lighthouse. Smash those to gain 1 Blue Coin.

4. Hawaiian T-Shirt: Beat the game and return to the guy who gives you the sunglasses. He will now give you sunglasses and a new outfit! The shirt is covered in shine sprites.

5. Access to Delfino Airstrip: Everyone says you have to beat the game to go back there. Well here's a hint, ITS NOT TRUE. A Shine Sprite is held by a creature or appears after you find eight Red Coins. It appears at the end of a minigame or after you collect 100 Gold Coins. If you return to an Episode where you've already taken a Shine Sprite, the next time you pick it up, it will be a transparent gray, and doesn't add to your total. 3. Bring small watermelons to the juice shack pianta. He will tell you that it's too small and then spew many coins... grab as many as possible.
4. Repeat this with the watermelons until 100 coins has been achieved.
{Note: It's okay to miss one or two coins, but don't miss too many opportunities!(-}

Gain Access to Pianta Village Anytime 45%
Ok. So. To get to Pianta Village anytime, Follow these instructions. Get behind the Shine gate. Get on the 2ND LEDGE of the small waterfalls. Carefully Highjump and start hovering in the direction of the small ledge ON THE SHINE GATE. Again, Carefully HighJump or Triple Jump off of the Shine Gate. Quickly Start hovering and turn around, and if you hover towards the top until you run out of power, you should be hanging there. SO climb up and jump into the Warp Pipe. Congrats. You now have full access to Pianta Village without the rocket nozzle. (Also, if you die or fail an episode, you will return to the Top of the shine gate, so you can jump right back in.
