How to: Buy a birthday cake!
Buy a birthday cake even before you Sims birthday & have them blow out the candles and they will age when they blow them out
Instead of using a cheat code to toggle "aging on" and "aging off" like in The Sims 2, you can de-activate the age in "Options", then "Game Options". When you uncheck the box next to "Aging", your Sims will no longer grow older. You can also slow aging down by setting the "Lifetime" bar. It can be set from 25 days to 960 days.
How to: Go to Pleasant Rest Graveyard and find the bush called "Death Flower Bush" near the gate. Harvest the flower & keep it in your inventory. If your Sim dies, that Sim will give that flower to the Grim Reaper & be resurrected. Although the flower will not reappear there again, if your Sim has level 7 Gardening they can plant the Unknown Special Seeds found in the graveyard and some other places that have a chance to grown as a Death Flower. *** Having the Green Thumb trait to revive the plant may help.

1) If you want a girl baby, eating 3 watermelons while pregnant will increase your chances.
2) If you want a boy baby, eating 3 apples while pregnant will increase your chances.
3) Reading pregnancy books from the bookstore will help in having a happy baby.

New Seamless, Open Neighborhood-Explore the neighborhood freely. Your Sims can roam throughout their neighborhood, visit neighbors' homes, and explore the surroundings. They can stroll downtown to hang out with friends, meet sum1 new at the park, or run into colleagues on the street. If your Sims are in the right place at the right time, who knows what might happen?!
Description: To get new clothes, you must 1st buy a dresser from "Buy Options". Once there click "Plan Outfit". You can put a total of 3 different clothes for each type (formal, every day, athletic, etc.)

*** This cheat requires a television with a cooking, gardening, or fishing channel & a video game system.
How to: Have your Sim sit down & watch television. Switch the television over to one of the skill channels so that the Sim can start earning his or her skill point. Then have a 2nd Sim go over & start playing video games. You notice that although the television is displaying video games, the first Sim still has the skill meter above their head. Allow this Sim to sit there for as long as they please until they decide to do another activity of their own. After that, the skill meter should stay above their head until you start another Cooking, Gardening, or Fishing skill activity. As an added bonus, you can train two skill points at once. For example, work out and both the Athletic & Cooking skills will continue to rise. Try it!
Have the video game system and have your Sims play it. Zoom in on the television to see that the games they are playing are various Electronic Arts titles.

| Maybe I'm being a total dunce, but I can't seem to figure out how to take my Sim's guitar with him to the park. He wants to "play for tips" -- but unlike the Sims 2, there doesn't seem to be a "hand tool" to just load an object into a Sim's personal inventory and opening the family inventory takes you back home... so what am I missing? | Ok this just makes me mad! My sims wear new clothes every day on the sims 2.... and now there isn't a clothing store! Whats with that? But when I clicked the mail box to see what jobs you could get as a day spa..... folding clothes came up? Is there a clothing store in the day spa or what? | Okay so I've been playing with multiple families... I've been switching back and forth and I went back to one house and one of the sims was gone, I checked all the neighborhood houses and she is not is any...
