Simply win the game on any mode in order to unlock Nightmare difficulty.
In the game, there's different version of the game, and to get them you
have to go to the MAIN MENU ---> cheats. There are colored crystals and
you have to hit them in order from left to right (R = Red, B = Blue, Y =
Yellow) and then do a downward thrust strike on the center pedestal piece
