Uh! Rome Total War, or RTW.
This game is very,very good.

First off, lets start with the graphics.
The graphics are what you could call amazing, modelled to the smallest thing. Sure, the models are clones, but it is still beautiful. When you see ROman Legions, all looking exactly like they did those 2500 Years ago, against Gaulish Warriors, you are blown away.

Forget the old thing of being a eagle and watching from above, now you can zoom in so far, you can see the soldiers fighting hand to hand.

The gameplay is ET.

There are two modes, the Campaign Mode and Battle Mode.

You choose one of 21 Factions to play, there are 4 Roman Factions. Then, you control cities, legions and more. THe City, you choose what to build and r ecruit. THen you have to maintain happiness, cleaniness and order. All with the style of your choice, perhaps you wish to be a Tyrant?

Then, once your army/armies get into battle, the game reloads and goes into Battle Mode, where you see EVERYTHING! Play it to believe it.

Of course, there are many bugs with version 1.0, but now there is patches which fix most bugs.

The AI, is not very smart, but it is smart enough to use many tricks. Flank you, use its horsemen when your archers are in the open. ANd you can litreally forget the Paper-Scissors-Rock thing with units, now they all have special stats.

A game worth buying, their are even many good mods out there now, ones which change the setting, or gameplay. All unoffcially supported by CA.

Hope this helped!
