If I didn't know any better, I'd have quit already....

At first it seemed too scarey to play, especially at night by myself... it took me days to start again. Then I thought this game is too slow and boring the way you move through the game (my computer is 1gb of ram- not slow). Now I'm frustrated because I feel like I've done everything I know how, searched the entire place and found everything there is, and I'm stuck at the beginning of game. Can't get into basement, or the room with the light, can't light fire or lamp w/o oil, don't know the combo to the safe. I even tried the stethescope. I cleaned the entire place? I don't know if I'm slow or the game is the worst. ?? And there is no cheat sheets anywhere yet.

There were no puzzles and the ending sucked!!!!!
I was left with more questions then answers!!!
