The Sims 2: Pets Reviews,Comments, Pros & Cons, Rating
Sims 2 Pets: good although somewhat repetitive
Game Score:
(3/5)
If you enjoy taking care of animals and daily tasks then this is an enjoyable game.
(3/5) Although you can achieve new titles and make money it is not really a goal oriented game. You are a vet and it is your job to work out what is wrong with each pet that is brought to you with the medical items at your disposal. You also groom and dress up the creatures and can train them to do tricks. They can be walked in the park and you can have (limited) interaction with other dog walkers. If you successfully heal and beautify your customers pets in the time you have allowed then you are paid and more customers visit you, including the rich and famous.
Along the way you need to look after your avatars personal needs such as hygiene and eating and order in shopping for yourself and the animals. You also have a wardrobe of clothes to style your vet. You can even make pet clothes and buy a bigger house!
An enjoyable, if a little repetitive, game. It is quite satisfying to work out the more complicated cases but the frequency of attending to the avatars personal needs can be a little irritating. As with other games of this type, the locations are very limited. But it is quite easy to pick up, even for children.
