Fishing Master. The title really catches your eye, seeing as not many new titles have been realsed for the wii lately, and when they are, they tend to be only about Zombies, or Binkini Slayers. It's got an expensive pricetag, and iffy coverart... but you've got to have a look at it...

The back doesn't say much about the game. It simply has anime-esque art all over it, and one or two screenshots. Like they say, curiousity killed the cat - and I find that to be quite true seeing as I ended up at the checkout with it.

The game overall is okay. It's very sexist, with all of your opponets pretty much being dudes. They somehow seem to be there, but you can't see them. Ever. They just pop up at random times when they feel like talking to you. The captian seems to be the only guy you ever really get to talk to, which is kinda creepy because he's an old guy. And when you're not talking to him, you're getting creepy emails from this guy who calls himsef Gramps of the Fishing World. *Cough* pedofile *cough*

I really did think it'd be like Harvest Moon, where you meet people, build realtionships, fish, and do many other things...
but in this game, all you do is fish. Theres only two little sentences of dialouge for fifteen days maybe. But what'd I expect? It says FISHING MASTER on the cover.

The graphics get by. The fish are pretty amazing - but then again I can't say much because I don't fish. The people's graphics bother me, but when they're handdrawn they're quite nice.

The wii remote saves this whole car crash (or should I say boat crash? ) with its addictive thing of making your wii remote and nunchuck into a fishing rod. You reel it in, you have to twirl your nunchuck around.

The game normally puts me to sleep. Its really repitive, and its really easy. Theres only a slight challenge with finding which bait to pick - but if you have it all , you're set and you can catch everything in the enitre game to little to no difficultly.

Although, even though this sounds so negative, I actually kind of liked it all. It was relaxing, just like fishing should be.

Still, if you're interested in this game - wait until its got a lower price tag than fifty bucks *canadian* . But if you love fishing and old men being pedofiles, and can't seem to stop yourself, than go right ahead and buy this game. Knock yourself out.
