You're an Operative, a free agent, and a speculator. Your home is the teeming city of Misplaced Optimism and you aim to better your reputation and enhance your ship (your only, and most valuable asset). Ultimately, you want to get off this ball of rock. Within the confines of the solar-powered city, you are free to do as you wish. The Light Wells that charge ships and power the city are free but hotly contested, and you can expect repercussions for any (serious) criminal behavior. As your reputation grows you'll pick up more lucrative jobs like a bounty, assassination, or even a demolition job. Maybe then you can upgrade your ship with a bigger chassis, more cargo room, a better on board CPU, or some heavy firepower. It seems that everything has a price on Titan, even your head. Hardwar features 360 degree movement in a 3D environment in a true 3D-rendered futuristic city containing infinite structures with complete freedom to travel throughout a true 3D post-apocolyptic environment in real-time. The player will assume the role as one of five space-trading mercenaries piloting their choice of ships to explore a futuristic world where trust is rare. Choose to accept regimented missions or explore the world on your own, controlling your destiny and outcome in this non-linear game that will never play the same way twice. Build your ship into a powerful craft by trading, stealing, fighting and allying yourself with different groups of inhabitants that can help or deter you from obtaining ultimate wealth and power.
