Vangers is a futuristic game with an elaborate science fiction storyline and dynamic gameplay all set in randomly changing terrain. In Vangers, players are immersed into a world of strange characters and fanciful landscapes. Tasks assigned by a Counselor take the place of missions, making gameplay open-ended. Players will enjoy exploring the landscape in their heavily armored "Mechoses" (vehicles) which saunter over mountains, plunge underwater or underground, or leap skyward. The organic terrain morphs - tides surge, whirlpools swirl, colors dramatically change. To survive in this geologic chaos, players must adapt to their surroundings. Players capture living "beebs" to use for ammunition or money, trade scavenged items in city enclaves, or act as mercenaries with bizarrely outfitted vehicles. Vangers uses a new type of 3D terrain technology (including complex voxel spaces). The top down view of the terrain can be rotated, tilted or zoomed to achieve the perfect game view. Real-time special effects (like detailed explosions, water, plasma, dust and even tire tracks) make the terrain in Vangers seem very life-like. Vangers also supports head-to-head modem play and up to eight players over a LAN or the Internet.
