Hi there! This is a guide to tell you the best methods of defeating all of Resi 4’s nasties. If you look down the
guide, you’ll notice that some boss-like enemies aren’t there. I didn’t include the following, as I didn’t consider
them official boss-battles, just sub-bosses:
-The El Gigante battles after the first
-The three Garrador battles
-The Regenerators
-JJ
-Dr Salvador
-The Bella Sisters

Del Lago
Okay, first, it should be pretty simple for you to see HOW to kill this dude. You notice you can’t draw any of your
weapons, but: oh look! Some nice ole’ soul has left you a nice horde of harpoons, as sharp as Gene Simmon’s tongue. So
then, obviously you need to stick these in Del Lago’s back. When he first starts to guide you, DON’T throw any
harpoons. Swerve your boat out of the way of those mysterious floating trees, then guide your boat right when Del Lago
bounds out of the water. This is the time to start shootin’. Aim your harpoons and chuck them at him. It takes around
eight to ten harpoons to kill the beast. Be sure to swerve from trees, and, if by chance Del Lago does knock you out of
the cruiser, just slam your thumb on X to swim back. Note that the lower your health, the slower you swim, so be sure
to get fully stocked on herbs. After Del Lago is dead, don’t forget to perform the QTE in the cutscene.

El Gigante
Yes, another Spanish name. And yes – another ugly CENSORED. This guy looks tough, but to be honest he’s a total
pushover. Once the fight starts, whip out your TMP and start firing. If he comes towards you, run through his legs and
to the other side of the arena. Then turn around and fire again. Now, you remember the wolf you helped earlier in the
game? Well, this is where he comes in. After about two minutes with El Gigante, the wolf bounds along to help you.
Use this time to search the huts around the perimeter. When you’ve raided the last hut, get out your rifle and fire at
El Gigante. This firepower should be sufficient to get El Gigante on his knees. This done, a parasite will burst out
of his back. You can shoot this, but don’t. Just jump on his back using the prompt and tap Square or X to slice it.
This needs to be done three times. If El Gigante grabs you, tap X or Square to escape. Press L1 and R1 to dodge his
attacks, and remember to run out of the way of boulders. After you slice his parasite the first time, El Gigante will
ignore the wolf and concentrate on your juicy eyeballs, so get out you trusty Shotgun and get blasting. He’ll be dead
in five minutes.

Bitores Mendez
Oooh…the big cheese can get uglier. This fight is more hellish than hell on Professional difficulty, but since this is
an Easy walkthrough, we’ll make it quick. Use either Hand/Incendiary Grenades or your TMP first. Just like the El
Gigante fight, if Mendez gets too close, run to the other side and fire again. Soon enough, the Chief should lose his
legs and attach to the struts on the ceiling. Many guides will tell you to get up the ladder at this point, but I’m
saying different (please don’t sue me). Instead, get out either your Flash Grenades or Shotgun. After a few attacks,
Mendez will fall to the floor. Get out any gun of your choice and unleash the fury. Rinse and repeat to pop the Chiefs
slimy eyeball.

Verdugo
This battle has to be the most frustrating in game history, but it’s a perfect chance to show off your Rocket Launcher
you should have picked up earlier. When Verdugo lands, run around the room until you reach a Nitrogen Tank. Press X to
knock it over and Verdugo should slow down. Whip out your Rocket Launcher and fire to blow his glowing eyes to
Scotland. If you haven’t got a Rocket Launcher then run. Fast.

Ramon Salazar
Oh boy, are you going to enjoy this. It turns out that the midget pirate actually is tougher than he looks. Never mind
though – you’re a Kennedy. Two things: DON’T attack from the front and DON’T jump into the pit at any point. Instead,
run to the right side and get out your TMP. You need to hit Salazar’s eye, and you’ll hit a lot more with a TMP than a
Rifle. After a few shots (don’t forget to dodge his tentacle attacks. Take that out first, if you must). When
Salazar’s shell opens, equip your Magnum/Rifle and fire as many times as you can. This battle can last a long time if
your guns aren’t upgraded a lot, but it’s worth it to see his baby face crumple in delicious defeat. Mmmm… Justice.

U3
It’s time to blast Saddler’s pet now. After the annoying cage-type puzzle-thing (descriptive ain’t I?), it’s time to
take U3 on. The best weapon for him is either a magnum or Striker. At the start, just begin firing. Don’t bother
trying to shut the gates on him or anything like that. Just fire for now. His attacks can be dodged with QTE’s, so do
this if necessary. Sometimes, he’s gonna burrow underground (dodge again). Use this time to collect any herbs/ammo you
might need. After that, when you deliver a ceratin amount of firepower to U3, that big sharp thing will pop out of his
back. Concentrate your fire on this, as it will deal more damage. U3 is actually tougher than you may think, and takes
a surprising amount of firepower.

Jack Krauser
Right then, hardest boss in the game coming up. Krauser really is a prickly customer. After the insignia-collectin’,
you can fight Jacko one on one. Magnums are a must. If not a Magnum, a highly upgraded Striker. Fire at his legs with
your TMP to get him on his knees, then unleash everything you’ve got with your ultimate firepower. This is all there is
to it really, but with speedy feet and terrifying attacks, Krauser’s a force to be reckoned with. If he does home in an
attack, get ready for a QTE to dodge. The time-limit doesn’t help either. Oh and by the way, Pro difficulty? Ouch.

Osmond Saddler
This is it. The big one. As you can see, Saddler has rather let himself go in this battle, turning into a mess of
mush. This is actually easy and hard at the same time, given that he is easy to defeat, but you need a lot of accuracy
skill. You may have noticed little eyes popping up on Saddler’s body. These are your targets. The thing is, they open
and close constantly, and Saddler’s wriggly body make them hard to hit. You might as well use your Handgun, since the
eyes only take one hit. When you do hit an eye, Saddler will collapse and reveal his ‘big’ eye. Run over and use the
prompt to stab it. Rinse and repeat about five times. Saddler’s attacks are strong so try and stay at a safe distance.
After you deal sufficient damage, Ada will throw you a Rocket Launcher (ooh..déjà vu). You need to get over to the
other side of the site to get it. Just run as fast as you can and wait for the bridge to come up. Run over and pick up
the Rocket Launcher. Be warned that Saddler may try and throw girders at you. Aim the Launcher and fire to unleash a
massive red bullet that really looks like it might hurt. And presumably – it does.

And that’s it! Bosses finished! Hope you enjoyed playing Resi 4 as much as I did, and if you have any questions,

Thanks!
