CheatListings
4x4 EVO takes gamers for the off-road ride of their lives through a total of 15 courses, each with its own distinctive design, musical score and difficulty level. In addition to contending with the other vehicles, players will be challenged by a variety of variables such as gates, trees, tractors in junkyards or on-coming traffic in construction zones. Virtual drivers can then stop and rewind the action through a playback feature, and can view the whole race again from multiple camera angles and even different racers' perspectives. The PlayStation2 version will allow players to choose between three different modes: Career, Quick Race and Time Attack. Career mode allows the gamer to choose base trucks from nine licensed real-world manufacturers and compete in a series of off-road races to win cash. This money can be used to purchase enhancement parts such as a race clutch, heavy-duty off-road suspension, performance exhaust, and special off-road racing tires. Quick Race mode enables two people to pick from a wide range of trucks and courses and race head-to-head, while Time Attack mode lets players race against the clock while out-maneuvering a ghost vehicle.
