I didnt befriend romana and on fall 2 she asked me if I wanted a cat. you do have to befriend ruby to get her spice. you do have to befriend murry and he'll give you a special item when he leaves. (hint: when murry askes you for money- 1=dissapointed, 50= happy, 100=delighted) ( hint: if your mean to van ((when he asks you if hes fat when he goes into the inner inn)) then you wont be able to haggle with him for a better amount of money)

Where van sells his stuff go there right before he gets there and push a when its says sell and you can sell your stuff before him! It worked 4 me
