There are alot of cheats for Half Life 2, these are just a couple to get you pas tthat next enemy or boss!

click these buttons

menu>options>advanced options>enable developer console

while in-game, bring the console down using the 'tilde' key [~], and type "sv_cheats 1".

From here you can type:

god > god mode - unlimted health
impulse 101 > all weapons, ammo and health
noclip > noclip mode - fly through the world geometry
maps* > lists all map names (eg, 'd1_trainstation_01' 'd1_trainstation_02')

In the Ravenholm level it is better to try and use your gravity gun instead of normal weapons.

This way is harder but you get better consequences when you reach the train-yard.

Also you feel more triumpfant once you finish the level without using a weapon, on the hardest difficulty!
