Pokemon Red GBC cheats

Okay, so we know about the whole Mew Gltich(please refer to cheat only way to get mew), but few have realized whats at work. What makes Mew appear specifiaclly is the special stat of the Slowpoke that one fights. If one were to fight any pokemon with the special stats of 21, Mew would appear(after prompting Gambler, then flywing away, etc-please refer to only way to catch mew cheat). But when the special stat is changed, so does the appearance of Pokemon. In short, if one were to say train their own poekmon to a specific level with a specific special stat, go through the process of obtaining a Mew, but after battling a trainer, flyi to Fuschia City, then fighting a ditto, one would have control of the "odds". So, heres a list of special stats and what pokemon would appear if were to fight a pokemon who had such special stats.

As you can see, the list is incomplete. If anyone would to add to this, please do. Its taken quite a bit of time to get that much. And like I said, go through the steps of obtaining Mew(Prompt Gambler, hit start as soon as exclamation point pops up, and fly away), fight any trainer, then go to East of Fuschia, and fight Ditto with your Pokemon that has the said special stat, then go to Lavender Town, then head West, and voila. Im also 99.9% sure that this will work for Blue version, but I've never tried.

To catch missingno {which I do NOT recomend} you need surf and fly { with pokemon that can use them of course} and access to cinnabar island. follow these steps:
step1:talk 2 the old guy in viridian. let him show you how to catch a lvl 5 bug pokemon.
step2:immediately after he finishes, fly to cinnabar island and make sure you have a good item in item slot number 6 {tm, rarecandy, masterball... do not have an item such as a rod, hm, exp all or any other none sellable item in slot 6 as this will prove to be a pain in the rear later as you cant deposit them very well}
step3:surf in the 4 squares adjacent to the gym.{2x2 area} untill a pokemon that looks like a barcode pops up. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CATCH IT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AS IT WILL GLITCH YOUR GAME BEYOND ALL BELIEF! run away from it and you will find you magically have 121 of whatever was in your 6th slot in your bag.
step3a:if you were foolish enuf to catch missingno, check your pokemon league records when your in a pokemon center. when you exit them you will find a new track is playing as long as you stay in the center. also misingno might turn into another pokemon {for me it turned into rhydon}
*note* pokemon over the lvl of 100 might appear. {i caught12 lvl178 wartortles}. catch them as they are usually stronger than a regular wild pokemon. however if they gain any exp. they will go to lvl 100. but if you give them rare candies and dont let them evolve, you can get them up to about lvl250. after that they will go to lvl 0.

Catching Mew is no longer a hassle. This glitch really does work.

Restart your game and play it until you get HM02 (Fly) from the house west of Celadon City.

* IMPORTANT!: Don't fight the following trainers!: The Youngster who has a Slowpoke, on the road that goes to Bills house. He is the fourth trainer when you get off Nugget Bridge, standing above a female trainer and looking North.
* The Gambler with 2 Poliwags and a Poliwhirl between Lavender Town and Saffron City. He will be standing East of the entrance to Saffron City,looking North near the door of the Underground Path. Carefully follow the steps below.

Make sure you have a pokemon that knows FLY (HM02). Make sure you have a weakish pokemon or a master ball with you. Save your game before you enter Route 8 saving after this point will wreck the procedure.

When your on Route 8, stand in front of the door of the Underground Path (don't let the gambler see you or you will have to restart where you last saved). Walk down one step and Immediately press start. If you get it, the menu will pop up before the Gambler has seen you. Go to your Pokemon and get one that knows, then fly to Cerulean City. The Gambler will see you just before you fly. The Start button wont work like your in the battle. Go across Nugget Bridge and go east until you find the Youngster described above.

If you walk straight up to the Youngster, the game will lock up, you have to make him walk up to you. Beat his Slowpoke(Your start button will work now), then fly to Lavender Town. Head into Route 8. When you get into the narrow path, the menu will come up by itself. Press B to exit and a Mew should appear, Mew will be at Level 7 and it only knows Pound. Once you've caught Mew, you can save without any annoying effects!

NOTE: I did this on my pokemon red game and it should work on the other pokemon red (maybe blue and yellow). It is worth trying it so you can get a Mew just like I did and it is easy to do but it can take a bit of time.

You can get it as soon as you get to Cerulean City. First, you have to catch an Abra. Like before, battle all trainers EXCEPT the one with the slowpoke, AND the one just to the left of the Nugget Bridge in the grass. Then, make sure you have been to the Cerulean Pokemon Centre before. Next, like before, walk a few steps in front of the trainer in the grass, then press start quickly before he battles you. Then go to Abra and use teleport. You should be infront of the Cerulean Pokemon Centre. Your start button shouldn't be working. Now, go to the trainer with the slowpoke and defeat him. Your start button should now work. Now teleport back to Cerulean. Go to Nugget Brudge. The first step you take should bring up the main menu. Press B and you will encounter Mew.

This has been tested by me. The Mew is level 7 and only knows Pound.

To do this cheat there are 2 people you cannot fight

1st is the 4th trainer after you beat nugget bridge(he is in a box)

2nd is the gambler below the underground passage east of lavender

you will also need fly to pull this off

it would also be a good idea to use the missing no. cheat to get masterballs before this just in case I never took the risk to see how hard he was to catch lol you can only use this once so might as well not risk anything

then go outside and do not move yet

as soon as you press down press start and fly to cerulean city (at this point the gambler will see you and this will register a fight in route 8)

fight the trainer mentioned 1st above and defeat him then immediately fly back to lavender

walk west into route 8 and you will encounter mew it will be lvl 7 and will know only pound it will later learn mega punch, metronome and psychic and will have very high stats that only mewtwo will top

This is true done it myself it reqires fly but dont fight the gambler facing up or by lavender town he is by the tunnel going to saffron or the boy with the slow poke above cerillin city when you get fly teach it to a pokemon but go to that gambler dont fight him go up until you dont see him go were you think he is facing save before doin wat I tell you this it requires you to be fast go down before he sees you press start and fly to cerilin city you know the city with water gym go if done right you should see the ! mark above the gambles head go and fight that boy with the slowpoke beat him fly bck to lavendar town exit toward saffron city when you exit the glich kicks in and level 5 mew appears use master or ultra to capture

As like the duplicating cheat, you first talk to the man in Vidrian City who blocked your way at the start of the game. When he says,"Are you in a hurry?" say no and he will show you how to catch a pokemon. That doesn't matter though. Then you fly to Cinnibar Island and swim on the right of the island. You might bump into missingno. a few times but be patient! Eventually you will find Blaine,the 7th gym leader, as a wild pokemon! When he sends out his first pokemon (about 3 or 4 of them are glitched!) the battle music will change as soon as it comes out of it's pokeball. They are all at lv 32. Two of the pokemon are Nidorino! But they are slightly glitched because their name is weird! One of them is not glitched though, it's a Flareon. He also has missingno. which you can defeat in one go! Defeat him and the battle win music will play and you still get money from Blaine, so that is real easy money. You get about $1200 poke dollars! Repeat this as many times as you like! This glitch lets you have fun, and interest! Guaranteed that your game will not crash. I did it many times and nothings happened! Good luck!

You all know the famous bird/water glitch, Missingno or M. Well here's how this glitch actually became a glitch, and also for the over-leveled pokemon. When you talk to the guy with the coffee, about catching pokemon, the game thinks that you are a beginner. Once you fly to Cinnebar Island, you have about level 30+ pokemon levels, but since you activated the coffee man, the game wrote down the possible levels the pokemon that you could encounter on route 2. (I think). And they decide to put them all together.(234)
And now for missingno: Again since you activated the coffee man glitch, you go to the city again, and surf on the edge of Cinnibar Island on the right. Although you really do not encounter pokemon on the ledge, but when you encounter Missingno, it really just glitches the scenery area, and the buildings, and just piles them up in a random shape. The reason you need a master ball to catch it is because, the master ball guarantees to catch EVERY pokemon.(Except for trainers'.)And once you've caught Missingno at level 0 or 80, then you[re whole game is wrecked unless you restart, but you can still play it. And that is Missingno's Origin :)

Once you throw the poke' ball and it says used poke ball, press up on the control pad and press B.hold it till it gets to the 2nd wobble let go. WALLA! and it doesn't matter how much heath it has!

My name is Jared and the real way to catch Missingno.
First,the good things about catching Missingno is that he/she or whatever you want to call it, has a very high attack.
The bad things about catching Missingno:
Missingno is a glith and a glitch is like a virus in a computer and if you cath this glitch pokemon it will erase your old saved data and its like having to restart your game, and also it will NOT let you save any other game after that.Also Missingno evolves into a khankiskahn if you give it a rare candy.
Missingno has a 13 defense. How do I know well I used a weedle and used a 5 power attack twice and the next weakest move was three power so I used the move and made him faint. So that is how I know. O.K. where is Missingno I will get to that in a second. there is so many bogus cheats out there even to this day but now that I have stepped up to the plate I am going to help all in need of POKEMON CHEATS and HINTS!
O.K. Missingno is on cinnabar island ok heres how to do it. First, Fly to virdian city, go left from the pokemon center until you hit the white trail the go up and talk to the man who shows you how to catch a weedle. He will ask you if you are in a hurry say no and he will show you how to cath a weedle. Then fly to cinnabar island and go right until you hit the shore and then put whatever item you want 100 more of in the sixth item slot. Pick the pokemon on your team that knows surf and surf up and down.Right about now I would put your strongest pokemon at the of your team because there is over L:100 Pokemon. I have caught a level 80 golduck, a level 132 mewtwo and now back to level 100 golbat because if the over 100 leveled pokemon gains exp. points it will go back to Level 100. once you run into missingno the screen will go black for 5 seconds. Use any attack to destroy Missingno go back on shore check 6th item there will be a symbol that means 100 of that item. GOODBYE, GOODLUCK

All of the slot machines have different odds,which change every time.
Play each machine 4 times, and if it hits 2 or more , then stick with that one, because it's probably hot. If the slow machine forces you really close to a 777 or a bar bar bar it will probably give you one or the other soon.

To get all three starters you either trade fom yellow blue or red oryou could do it the hard way by naming your characterR?m?Z?r and choosing charmander and getting to cinnibar but after that you must fly to virdian and talk to the old man blocking you from viridian forest say no and after that fly back to cinnibar and surf on the east side where the land meets the water and surf


make sure you have a masterball as your 6th item and try and find missingno first and then catch em all with a mball as soon as you duplicate the ball!

To enter glitch city, fly to fuchsia city and go to the safari zone.
Now pay the $500 and enter the safari zone, exit the safari zone and answer no then enter again now save the game and turn it off and on.
exit the safari zone keep going down until the man talks, this time he will say welcome 2 the safari zone and whatever else he ses. answer no and exit the safari zone, the PA should say ding-dong times up!

note: the PA will only ring in some places.

You can beat the first gym leader with a fire pokemon. All you have to do to charmander is train him until he is level 16 and evelves. Let him evlve becouse he will be much stronger than if you don't let him evolve.

ok heres what you do:
restart your game and play until you get hm02 fly from the house west of celadon city. do not fight the following trainers:

Defeat his Slowpoke.Afterwards,your start button will work again.Then fly to Lavender town. Head west into route 8. As soon as you enter the narrow path, the menu will pop up by itself. Press b to exit and look who it is! MEW will be at level 7 and its only attack will be pound. Pokeball go! Once you have caught Mew you can save your game without any ill effects.

Start your game over get to cerulean city and head north after nugget bridge go west there
will be a boy do not fight him catch an abra this is the tricky part so save before you do this go over to the water above the boy do not fight him then walk in front of him and hit start then go to your abra and use teleport he ill see you but you will warp before he reaches you then go to the west dont fight the camper the boy who talks about the s.s. anne fight him then use teleport after you fight him you will then go to the nugget bridge your pause screen should appear without warning and when you get off of it mew will appear he is at level 7 you onl have one chance so dont defeat him his only move is pound at level ten he will learn transform fom then on every tenth level he will learn a new move

If you read the cheat about missingno. this will work. you will need to go to the copycat's house and right beside her computer will be a nugget. then do the missingo cheat. you want to sell them all but 1. keep doing the missingno. cheat over and over until you hit $999999.

It's hard to believe it, but i've tried a lot of them. but this one actually worked for me! not only that, it's possible to catch it before facing against misty. first, defeat all the trainers near cerulean city (nugget bridge, etc.) until you would face against a trainer that went on the s.s. anne with his dad and faces against you with a lvl. 17 slowpoke. DON'T FIGHT HIM YET! then head west to the little grass patch near the hidden dungeon (without fighting the trainer in the grass). capture abra. then stand just one spot north of where the trainer in the grass would encounter you in battle. (i suggest you save right now). take one step south and press start as you're moving to the next spot. if you time it right, your menu should pop up. then select abra and teleport to the closest pokemon center. the exclaimation point will pop up above the trainer's head, but you will teleport back. the pause button should now NOT be working. walk across the bridge and face against the trainer with the single slowpoke (nobody else before him) (also note that you must be at least 1 space between him and you, other wise the game freezes if you are adjacent to him). after you defeat him, pause button should work now, so teleport one more time. then head across the bridge, but the game pauses itself after several steps onto the bridge. press B, then a battle ensues against a lvl 7 mew! bring lots of pokeballs with you and a pokemon that knows sing or something like that. mew doesn't appeared like a glitched picture or anything. real deal!

Go to cerulean city and go to the gym(obviously) you can surf on the bottom part of the statue and its for any gym with a statue like that.#2
if you walk along the edges then you can surf on the swimmer.#3walking on water:surf next to misty turn to the right and face her and use surf and ure standing on water (also next to the other trainers in the gym it works)
