Since there are now DC heros in this game,they can do what is called a Brutality.This is different then fatalities cause it is less bloody,only the DC characters can do/use it,and that it does not kill the person.(He/she will still be moving a little bit,cause of course the DC character(s)will never kill someone.)You still have to use a button seqence to do the brutality.

If you succesfully hit your opponent and he/she is now falling,guess what?You can still fight,in the Air!You just need to press the buttons that you see on the screen,(A,B,X,and Y)but you need to press them quickly cause your opponent can revert that,and will now start punching you,in the Air.This is of course known as,Freefall kombat.If you succesfully press those button til the end,you will win and will knock your opponent on to the ground below.He/She will suffer more damage.
