No Lyran until you enter his cellar.	100%
For some time now, I have been reading different cheats on how to get rid of that pesky Lyran once you exit his study. Run out use a recall and then come back in again. Forget about that because there is a better way. And I tell you how! Once you're on the second floor and you have found the secret opening to Lyran's study read the scrolls but "do not" open the front door. Instead, exit the same way you came in. It works all the time.
