You have to pet it, feed it the hero fruit(not the CRAP you find at the Black market, but the stuff you find in our hero garden) and it takes longer to eveolve your chao if you switch characters to pet it. stick to one.

Pet your chao alot nd make sure it likes you. leave the game on for a few hours in chao garden or over night. every few hours chao age a bit go to the doctor to see how old yours is. they live about 5 or 6 years, then when it has reach its old age it will go into that evolution cacoon if you didnt beat your chao or abused it, it will be reborn into an egg.

Go to tails mission the desert place and stop when you hit the walls blocking your way. Go to the right and on the secend one turn right there will be a door.Break the door nad go south there will be a sea monster :) and it will get a fire ball 4 a ball for the top of the head.

First use knuckles or rouge in the gardens. The hero garden gets pumpkins and dark garden is the skeletons. The reg. garden is a mix. You don't need to give the chao skeleton dogs it justs needs to be smart and old enough like halfway to 2cd evolution. Then dig them up in the garden with one charecter from the first sentence.

You can get different sorts of hats from Gardens and/or Black Market.
If you'd like to get some hat from some Garden, simply, use Knuckles or Rouge and dig around, but be careful not to hit Chaos.
From the Dark Garden you can get a skull. From the (Neutral) Chao Garden you can get skull and/or a pumpkin. And of course, from the Hero Garden you can get some pumpkins.
Other hats are avaible at the Black Market.

You have to get a dark chao then you have to give it one of every animal twice with the dark characters and when the dark choa has horns then you can make even cooler with the flame ball thats blue by giving it some sea monsters and it looks best with the original color choa

If you are speaking of the choa that is in the final hero race you need to give 1 of every animal no more no less feed it dark fruit pet it as dark characters and let it die and reborn ( in order to do this pet him and pay attention to him) 2 or more times and on the 2nd 3rd 4th ect he will look like the dude from the final hero race and the same for angel and neutral hope this helps! =)

How 2 make a neutral chao:
first you have 2 keep feeding your chao with sonic then wen the horns start 2 grow switch 2 shadow and then do the some and keep doing that untill it goes intoa cacoon and then if you did it right the chao garden music will still be playing.
wait 4 the chao 2 emerge(open)from the cacoon and it should look the same but a bit bulkier and if you fed it animals,the feet or paws should be a different colour and there you have it!
your newly but the same neutral chao awaits

I got a neutral chao by not touching it,and just feeding it the regular fruit, until the stamina gets up. give it some of the same animal, and it should evolve into a neutral chao.(i got mine that way:)

In order to make the seeds grow you have to win the begginer races with your choas and get the prizes it gives your choa then give the seed to that specific choa and once theres an ! mark above his head walk away and watch from a distance or help another choa. If you get to close or get in his/her way then they will drop the seed and continue on normally.

After your choa has completed the beginner races and beginner boxing then just give your choa the seed and walk away or they won't plant it and when he plants it it should start growing. -Answer by:JML

To plant the seeds, get one chao that has won both the "Crab Pool" and "Block Canyon" races. Or in other words, both the swimming and rock climbing races. They should have an elephant watering can and a shovel by now. Pick up the seed and give it to your chao the same way you would a small animal. It will take the seed and it will plant it somewhere. Q:If your chao is trying to run away haow do you stop it?
A1:
You stop it by reducing the number of chao. Possibly sending it to happy land.(in the chao trasporter, select "good bie" and poof) they start to feel left out so they leave on there own.
A2:
Your Chao can't run away.
However, if you'd like to send some of your Chaos to a far-away forest, use the GBA -thingy on the Garden, throw in your Chao and select the option "Good-bye".
The only way how your Chao can move by its own is when you take some Chao to some crowded Garden. One of the Chaos will move away by its own, without asking your opinion.
