U can also just power down to normal and fight him as a non super sayian. His [trunks] speed will be more as it is than an ascended sayian...or just train him and get it over with....

To beat android 17 is when you get on the island the frist turn into super namken then use one of your special once then go by the rocks to refill your energy. Next when you go to the second island use the cookies tp refill your health then once you are near the rocks keep hiting the rocks intill your energy goes up then he will be talking the turn super namken then keep hiting him untill it stops the thrid time then your finshed

I always beat him by training Piccolo to level 35 - 40, then I turned into the Super Namek, I went to the island and charged android 17 without mercy.
