I am stuck in the room with planets with a sliver of health. How do I keep from dying when swinging from the planet to the platform?

I'm around halfway through the game, and was really getting into it. But I got stuck halfway through a level, and Haven't gotten past it for 6 months! help! I am stuck in a circular room, with a rope hanging in the center of it, which you jump on to. The bottom of the room is covered with spikes, and you just jumped off a bridge to get to the rope. There is a button on the wall, which you have to push (i think) but if you jump from the rope and push it, you fall, and die. If you don't jump, there is no where to go, because the only door to go forward is closed, and you cant reach it anyways. if this sounds familiar to anyone, help!?

I have completed about 80% of the game but there is a part when the prince enters this bedroom type elavator. The creatures attack and seem to keep coming and coming and coming. I can't seem to defeat them with out either I or the princes dying. Thirty-one kills is about as far as a have come. Any tips?

On the level climbing the tower of dawn how can you go down from the damaged tower ?on the left side there is a shaft but I cant cross it by rebounding.

Stuck! ok so i've just seen the flying hourglass...and I go into the room with all the poles and levels and then you get to the bottom and there's a bed in the middle but you jump off the bed and loads of sand-monsters appear and I keep fighting them but they keep coming! how do I finish the level before they kill me?
