Hi you need to jump through the hole in the floor and it takes you to the same place but diffrent dimention, run to the gate and open it then run back to the hole in the floor and get to the gate befor it shuts.

I think I know what room your in.
You have to turn all the portraits of the old guy right way up you can and then the grate over the portal will open. Go in the portal and find the rest of the portraits and right them. then youll find this wheel thing which you use to open the pantry grate/gate door thing near the entrance. Then you run back to the portal go through it run back and go through the door, turn on the lights. they will go on but then thorne will come and you have to beat him, then the lights go on. -Answer by:Eeznoiz

the plates will start flying at you on there own. The bottles are on the floor and setting or hanging on things in the room.

This is how you beat the kitchen level. First you beat all the spiders and the lady(creepy) and then you wait for the part when the plates start to fly around.You can get hints from the leoda lady and she said something like breaking plates and bottle will light the way for you.So you have to stand near every bottle and wait until the plate flies so it can hit the bottle and break.Then when all of the plates are broken the furnace will go on or fireplace thing.Then after that happens,the things start to like move and you find the 20 ghost that you need.I hope I helped you.o and the plates are just flying around but the bottles are on the shelves and on those things hanging from the ceiling and the tables(to answer your question).

You don't you have to stand in behind of all of the bottles and let the plates break the bottles. You will see purple stuff on the ground to show you have broke them. Then that lights the fire.
