I ran across the same problem of the useless exit. When all 3 or 4 waves of angels come and you have destroyed them all, the rock music will stop and the end of mission totem with the spawn eye insignia will appear between the globes on the central platform. Hope this helps. I wonder why there, well maybe there was, a Native American spawn?
