To make a tribute in this version of yugioh you must select the card to be offered with the A button and then select sacrifice. be careful not to sacrifice more monsters then needed though

Defeat everyone else including joey in the aquarium, i'm not sure if the guy outside counts though?

You must beat all the people in the aquarium before you get to duel mako. also save your game after each battle so that if you lose you can just turn off your game boy and restart it. also use a rare card for a ante, you will get a rare card if you win

They automatically go on face down. It says at the bottom left of the screen when you hover over the card.

When you put a card in field it will automatically be facedown until you are atacked or you atack

Chose the monster you want to sacrafice and press a. then hit sacrafice and it will dissapear. Then just summon the monster you wanted to summon.

Simple. play electric cards and wind cards gainst his cards.......K?!
Use aqua and thunder monsters
Fill your deck with aqua monsters that have 900 or 1000 atack so they get the field power bonus
Mako uses a water deck and since the field is water, use thunder monsters since the game lets you use weak cards that can destroy other cards without taking any damage. -Answer by:zero56

You just have to beat evryone in the aquriam. Thats how I did it

Go to game shop and marik will come then everyone will duel you
When you place a card keep it alive wait next turn if you have a monster with a 1 it needs a tribute, if 2 needs 2, and if 3 (which you won't get until later in the game) needs 3 tributes if you have a tribute card with a 1 press A on it go right and press sacrifice then you should summon it if it has 2 you have to sacrifce 2 monster, 3 for 3 -Answer by:Alex6230
When you have a monster on the field and a monster that has a 1 in the corner of the card in your hand click on the monster onthe field and choose sacrafice then click on the monster in your hand and put it on the field. (Note: if the monster in your handhas a 2 or a 3 then you will have to sacrafice more than one monster onthe field)

The game is supposed to do that, it goes no further it doesnt freeze, it stop to end the game at the end of the credits, try turning the power off then back on to continue your game from where you last saved
