Well there really is no sure way to actually get a bunch of rare candies unless you catch a lot of meowth's and put 'em on your team but don't forget to walk around cause as you should know meowth has the ability pick-up which enables him/her to pick up items even though it's random which items they pick-up they should eventually pick-up some rare candies.

p.s. you can clone reziqaza, kyogre and groudon also you can use any item a pokemon can hold
