When it opens its mouth to shoot fire run right under it [dodge the fire it throws] then target it and cast glasius at it then run when it starts to spin, when it starts to spin it will releas a powerful fire blast so get as far away from it as posible then when it shoots its fire arms dodge it then use glasius until it goes out then cast flipendo until it goes away [note: if you dont do this fast enough it will put the torch back on its body and it will relight]

At times he shood launch his arms at u. Doge them and quickly put them out. after you do that shoot it w/ flipendo afew times till it breks. Do the same 4 the other arm. Wen both r gon go over 2 tha metal fire(or wate 4 him 2 cum 2 u) and try 2 put his fire out. Once he falls shoot him. U may have 2 repeet this a few times 2 get it right.

You have to keep running around and try to get them seperated so it is easier to take them one at a time.

There is not a secret and it is easy! Use Lumos Duo to light them up then get them with Flipendo.
Just hang bak and use lumos duo. Wen you con cumpletely se them use flipendo a few times. If you see one trowing a firball or watever it is at you MOVE!
Just keep trying it'll get easier!

When they are swinging there lamps around they will shoot at you after about 4 twirls around. If there are several of them run back to the glass case in the left corner by the door. You can see through the case but they cannot hit you there. Watch until one is close maybe over by the big stove on the other side. Run up to them one by one and shine lumos duo on them. Get close to one swinging his lamp and they will be blocked by the lumos duo spell and cannot shoot at you. Then blast flippendo at them and they die. If you are shooting at them with r1 locked and missing release it and do it again to get a good target lock. Then flippendo. Remember get close to jam them from shooting, hide behind the glass case and retarget them if missing. For the second batch start by hiding behind the glass case to watch for one alone. Run out and back if need be.
Just get them in a corner together and use lumos duo then use flipendo 2 times at each hinky punk and that is that
It's probably too late, but at the end of the first day either Ron can search bookcases or anyone can duel for wiggenweld. Failing that, buy some from Fred and George (but it is very expensive - you have to regularly get more beans). You can get 10 each, and when you are low on health drink the wiggenweld. It should give you more time.

If you want ingredients for snape's lesson,you must have Ron.Ron take Lumos at chizpurfle and then the flowers-monsters eat the chizpurfl and then you collect their ''bodies''
Don't collect them until there will be a day where Ron will say something like "there's nothing to do" and then I think Hermione says "let's look for Snape's potion ingredients". Then you go outside and you may notice that there is an orange beam by the Forbidden Forest. Go to it and there are two Venemous Tentaculas and three things under the trees. Use Ron and cast Lumos Duo right in front of one. Move back slowly and the Chizpurfle will follow. Lead it up to the Venemous Tentacula that is moving (not walking around just the top will be moving around) and stop casting Lumos when the Chizpurfle is right in front of the Venemous Tentacula. Then the plant will chew it up and spit out its carapace. do it with all three and remember to collect the carapaces! Then go borrow Buckbeak and ride him to the lake where there is another orange beam. Ride Buckbeak right into them until you have three Billywigs. (May take a while). Then you need Hemione and ride Buckbeak (or just walk, but its a long way) to the greenhouses, which is on the other side of the Stone Circle. Opposite way than when you went to the forest. When yo get to the greenhouse, go inside and there is a burning tree. Cast Glacius and three Fireseeds will appear. Grab them and go to Potions. If you need the other ones as well, I'll post up another answer.
Okay, first of all, you get the fairy wings seperately. There's been a lot of crap where people don't get what to do after the Patronus part. A hell of a lot of people on other FAQ's think you just leave History of Magic. You have to go to a gate that's at the back of the classroom along the same wall as the door, and Hermione has to crawl under. There's a spellbook in the room beyond the gate. Get it and equip the spell. When you turn around a tapestry has somehow fallen in front of the gate. There should be a little statue of a dragon next to it. Cast the spell on it and the tapestry will burn up. Leave the classroom and go to the Study Room (room that you come into when you enter the fourth floor from the stairs) where Snape and Lupin are talking. Go over to the tapestry on the other side of the room and do the same thing to that. It's a shortcut to the second floor. Dodge the prefect and go to the stairs. Go to the THIRD floor not seventh. Go to the statue of the hump-backed witch. There's a cutscene where Harry casts the Dissendium thingo and they go to Hogsmeade. A bunch of Slytherins show up and you duel them. The fairies scatter into a bush which happens to have the dragon statue next to it. Cast Reparo on the statue and then Draconifors. The bush burns and the fairies come back out. You need to cast Glacius then Flipendo on them (or other way around, or even just Glacius, I can't remember). When you have three, three dementors show up. Ron and Hermione start breaking the fence, and you have to fight them off by just casting Patronus. After a while, they manage to break the fence, and you guys sled down a hill. You're somehow back at Hogwarts by the statue, and yeah, figure this out yourself. For dragonflies, there's a courtyard near the Greenhouses with a fountain in the centre. (not the one you start in front of when you go outside.) Go inside and there's a dragon statue. Cast the spell constantly, because when a dragonfly comes close, it leaves before the dragon actually breathes fire. Eventually you'll have three dragonfly thoraxes. all thats left is the seahorses. Go to the boathouse and play Flying Seahorse Fishing. You use Carpe Retractum when they go up in the air. Don't pull too hard, or too long, because you just fall down. Eventually you have three seahorses and you have to go to Potions.

OK, this is the easy way. First, kill all the red caps whom don't have shields using flipendo, then look around till you see a greenish statue with a gold hook. Aim, then use carpe retractum and push the anolog stick backwards. The statue should twist around, pulling you onto that platform. Next you will come across a halfed bridge with another gold hook. Again, do the same as last time. Now, the red caps. Do the same as the bridge. Pull quite hard but not as hard as you can or you'll end up in a spot of bother.

Im on Day 8 and I am trying to defeat the Dementors over by the lake and 1st off the watching Hermoine running is a waste of time to watch 2nd of all as soon as Harry grabs Black to drag him I looked at every hint or cheat possible and they all say the same exact thing in stage 1 while dragging Sirius Black before a dementor attacks you cast theExpect Patronum at them to kill them I tried casting that and it won't do a dang blasted thing all harry does is drag him til I get to the other side where he drops him and I have casted the spell and charged it for that matter and it hits the dementors but that also does nothing I hit them they back off and comeback I have Hit them at least 10 times and no health bar has popped up and I can't beat the dementors How in the hell am I able to beat them as far as Im concerned nothing works I need help ASAP I have been working on it for the past 2 hours or more trying and can't get it please help me?

1st wen your dragging sirius, stay along the back wall. Its easier 2 avoid dementors. Wen you get 2 the other side, just keep using the patronus. Eventually a cutscene will cum on were harry and sirius get rescued.
If you're dragging Sirius you don't cast Expecto Patronum you do the same thing as when they attack you. You wiggle the analog stick when they attack
Well when your dragin sirius don't stop and stay at the wall when defending sirius just keep on doing it a cutscene will apear and when your on the last bit don't hit dementors at the back (unless theres no way to get the spell past them) hit the one attacking sirius till the health bar is empty
In the 2nd bit keep charging and casting until you make a path through the dementors then charge up and run the stag all the way to sirius.(try not to hit the other dementors or the patronus will die -Answer by:awesomedude
There are about 6-8 of them close to you when Harry sets Sirius down. You should start to destroy them righty away. Don't wait for them to attack. Shoot the one straight away first. Then the ones just left and right of center. The spell is hard to steer and the last ones far left and right are the hard ones. After you get the close ones they all hang back. When you get about 8 of them the cut scene plays and you wind up in the infirmary. You go back in time and find yourself on the other side of the lake watching the fight you just finished. You shoot the powered up patronus and clear a path through the large gang of dementors. Then when your spell (the white deer) makes it through the pack of dementors you get the one attacking Serious on the other side. Watch his life indicator in thelower left corner. At least 3-5 powered up hits to get him. The fight ends when this ones life indicator empties out. Don't shoot the pack any more if your spells make it through/past them all. Only the powered up one makes it across and can damage the dementor attacking Black. All you need to do now is fly buckbeak to the tower. Game end.

Defeat the hinkypunks then light the glass ball thing up with lumos duo then the the door will open.To defeat the hinky punks you need to shine lumos into their faces till they go solod but dodge the fire blasts the hinkypunks may throw. After you shone lumos, cast flipendo. If u=you do this slowly they will become smoke again. P.S you have to shine lumos right at their faces for about 2 seconnds.

Through the stinkbombs or whatever it's called and wait for them to move over there when their over there you just push the left analong stick up as far as it will go and then you pass them from behind their back.
Search the bookshelfs with ron then when you get dungbombs throw them into a corner or somewhere ,the troll will go after it and then run past (repeat this with every troll)
Trolls are hard. Going in first: Get 5 bombs from bookshelves. Go in and left to the small shelf by the first troll. Move up to the edge close to the troll. Don't go beyond the edge. Throw all five bombs one after another at a slight angle toward the troll so they are in front of him and you both. He will move up to them and you go between him and the bookshelf to the left and then between the next two bookshelves. Go up by the small one and seach for five more bombs. Run out and to the right up against the wall and they move toward the second troll. Stay behing the desks just ahead of you. Move to the edge of the desk cose to the troll and throw all five bombs one after another. He will move to them they run back to the wall and go past the desk to the far end of the area and move across through the opening and left to a small bookshelf. The third troll stands at the end of this case. Search for at least four bombs, carefully at the end just behind th thrid troll he may notice you. With the bombs go back toward the wall about half way then out into the middle area and throw the bombs toward the space between the chairs you entered in. Immediately move to the bookcase and go past the troll as he moves to the bombs. Go around it and straight to the wall. Search for at least three more bombs in the bookcase in next to you behind the thrid troll. Move toward the fourth troll along the wall turn to face the open room about half way to the fourth troll. Throw at least three or four bombs into the room area one after another and run left alont the wall past the fourth troll as he moves toward the bombs. Go around the end of the bookcase and to the door and hit x to open the door and leave. Coming back the other way. Throw 3 or 4 bombs at the end of the bookcase near the 1st (4th ) troll. Run around the other end of the bookcase. Go half way to the second troll and throw 2 bombs in the room area he'll move to them and you move past along the wall. Run to the bookcase you stoped near coming in search for bombs and exit to the wall in front of the next troll. Go to the desks throw 4 bombs in the area next to troll. Run back to wall and go along behind desks and around inbetween two bookcases you stopped in coming in. Search for bombs. Go up between the two bookcases to the edge near the troll. Throw 4 bombs one after another and as troll comes over go left to edge of bookcase past troll and run out.

You cant protect harry and black untill the end of the path then you can cast patronuses .untill you get to the end of the path you need to doge the dementors. if they get you move the left analog stick left and right.

You cast lumos dou til the hinkypunks look solid and then you flipendo them. You might have to cast lumos duo a couple of times before you flipendo them.
Just keep at it! Press Lumos until the hinkypunk is kind of solid and starts to sway then cast flipendo until the hinkypunk is destroyed, as with many parts of the game you have to just keep trying and casting spells, it will pay off !

Wait until they have stopped throwing fire at you, shine Lumos Duo until they become zombie like and shoot Flippendo at them twice. Then you will be able to open the door :)

Hi i'm new to this site so PLEASE can you answer me a question: How do you unlock the door in the maraurders map challenge that is locked and leads to 1 set of blue stairs and 2 sets of silver stairs that goes to the top of the tower. You can only do this at night by doing the following- go to 4th floor and once your inside the 4th floor keep going around the books untill it says open,press x when says open, and then you in but watch out for prefects on the other side...hope helps you! edw age 10

One of the carpe retractum things is slow to come up when you're going across the left side of the room (left, when you're at the entrance facing where you want to be going). It's one of the ones along the left wall.
For the most part, I ignore the boggart unless it gets me. You can move Harry right through the boggart with the carpe retractum spell.
If you can get the left lock, the one nearest the entrance, first, that may help.

The bats fly around in what looks like a white cloud. Take off with Buckbeak, then hit the "brake" button. Using the analog (left) stick, rotate Buckbeak around until you see the cloud of bats. It helps to get at the same level as the bats, but if you can maneuver Buckbeak, that doesn't matter as much. Fly right through the middle of the cloud of bats, and Buckbeak will catch a few. Keep doing this, using the "brake" button to turn around until you spot them.

How do you contact EA the harry potter maker's because I want to upload harry potter video's onto youtube but I can't do that without permission from ea and i've been trying for few or more month's to try and do it but I just don't know how to do it
Is there an e-mail address that they have that they reply to your question them self's instead of a machine
Or is there a phone number that I can use and I mean a phone number that they will answer and not a machine?

Use the carpe retractum spell when the metal armor is still on the shelds, they will fall off and turn into a creature use flipndo on it when the sheld creatre is standing it will fall and die. After you killed all the shelds the armor will have swords, try to avoid them intil the armor stands still once more and then use carpe retractum (it will help if you target by using R1) and its head will fall off and it will be dead.

I think you're talking about the Neville and the Ghoul level. What you've got to do is when the robot is spinning, use R1 to lock onto it. Then, fire Flipendo at it once it stops spinning. It will then throw rockets at you. (You have to fire Flipendo at it before it throws the rockets) Then, just run away from the rockets and they will crash into a wall. You have to do this 5 or 6 times and then you defeat it.

Avoid his bullets by moving out of the way. Cast flipendo when he is open

There is a green staure somewhere in the room target at it (with R1) with carpe retratum and you will fly toward it after that there will be a bridge with a yellow handle sticking out of it use carpe rerratum again and the brigde will come torword you. walk over it then you`ll be able to kill the monstres (with are red hooded caps if you are wondering) and then you`ll be able to leave.
