The enemies have the same life bar as you. Just attack them on the arm until their arm's life bar goes down and it will be broken. It's easier to just kill them though.

Day 48 Marcia will ask you 2 train with Commodus. U must selec refuse the first time and accept the second. Then Marcia , while you ll be in the carriage will ak you whether it is time to liberate Rome. Answer NO. Kill Commodus in his training room(he ll be very easy)
Day 49 I cant remember who will ask to you but he ll ask you to be the excecutioner . Answer No till is not asked.
Day 50 There you can cheat the game and select sleep the whole day. Then days pass...
Note At the space between 52-56 days one aming them will show cleared game so look closely if you dont want to have a cleared game.
Note2 After day 50 you will be taken abvout fifteen times to collosseum(if you want to train select no when he askswho's ready to die or to face death etc. I d reccomend it 'cause otherwise you wont be able to eat) and you ll be taken to atilius pretty rarely but you can lave market every time you want( if you ve earned the right to)

In one of the umm mock battles not sure witch one. Bring a nonfavorible wepon. at pretty much end guy will come out good luck.

THE gate hammer will be in one of the moch battles where there is two gates and you have to protect them then a barbarian will come out with a gate hammer after you kill about 30 barbarians.
