Because you have a manual transmission. if you don't hit r2(shift up) your engine will blow(from overheating) but if you hit it when in red you can still get it back by getting perfect shift. trust me, i never lie!

Look for a road that divides into three roads and take a right and that will lead you to the bus station. Hint: If you go on top of the 2nd floor of the bus station and sit in the middle next to the glass railing the cops wont be able to get you. I've done it hundreds of times and only once did one make it up there so I jumped down and went back up to wait out the cool timer
Well you know the first safehous your at wen you first start the game? well if you go to your map ull see the safe house then you go down and you see two oval things with dots in them theres is a pursuit breaker sign on your map activate the gps on the thing nearby and ull see buses go to the
Go to blacklist then to bounty and pick the first one. you are then in a alleyway with a cop infront of u. reverse out and there should be a crossroads. take the one on the left as you look at it and carry on until you see a building with glass in it. once you smash through the glass then suddenly make a you turn and there should be two ramps go up one of them and when you are on the second floor then go to the midle and wait until you have got evrything you came for
You know those 2 big turns that takes you to camden beach, it's at that intersection, just look for the building with lots of glass and buses and a 2nd floor you can drive on.
Look on you map for a pursuit breaker in a area that looks like 2 tilted diamonds. its about center in the map. the mostly white area is the bus station

Yes. bus station. 2nd floor as far as you can go DONT DRIVE OVER IT.i done that one time and I got busted.:( you can stay there for hours without moving a millimeter and never get busted. oh, and when you decide it's time to end pursuit, DO NOOOOOOOOOOOOT drive over there without backing up. that's how I got busted.:( lol. over at the bus station the cops will run into each other. I saw a cop get totaled. lololololol. one day I left it running(not paused)changed channels and watched t.v. and when I came back the pursuit ended!LOLOLOLOLOL!

To boost your heat in a hurry, trash cop cars and run through pursuit blockers--even if a cop's not around. Just remember not to lose the cops, or you're screwed. You don't go and sit at the bus stop until your heat gets into levels 4 and 5. Your bounty goes up quicker then, along with your cost to state stats, because while they're all thrashing themselves you're getting 60,000 points (or something huge like that) every time one gets totaled.
I typed A7 and just wanna say(for A8) that I am at blacklist #2 and back then I was at blacklist #4. i've been using the bus station for a long time but when I first decided to try it, I was already at blacklist #5(i beat #6 befor I first tried it). I beat the game before but my save file got deleted so I had to do it over again.:(
I typed A7. I just forgot to mention that at the time where I watched t.v. during a pursuit, came back and it ended I was working on a blacklist like #2 because I always keep a backup savegame incase I end up losing the first one, so I worked on it that day.
Sorry about the "you can stay up there for hours and not get busted" part of A7(i think it's obvious that I typed A7) shortly after I typed it I realised that about every 2 hours you have to move your car not much but just not enough to go over. if you do go over on the bus station just press the select button and it will put you back up there where you want to be(sometimes I just drive over and hit "select"). just make sure you have the camera on the bumper(if not you cant back up very much. it in bumper also makes your tyres not blow when you run over a spike strip:) since I found that out it's the only one I use for pursuits.) sorry it's too long
You have to go to the car shop (shown by a little blue arch on the map) and save up a good amount of money. Or when you beat a blacklist racer get a pink slip by picking the bonus upgrades.
At the time this game was made all cars in it are new. there is no 1957 chevy bel air in it. simply go to the car lot, select the one you want then hit the X button and click either "drive now" or "deliver to safe house" and you now own that car you want.
Currently i am racing against lamborgini gallardo, and have only eclipse and mercedes in my garage. i am trying to go into the car shop to buy new car or to do some modifications but i cant.. what i do is i go to resume free roam and try all shops or garage .. but when i reach there i keep on pressing enter or x nothin happen.. can you answer me why ? plz plz plz

All(or some)of the above. if there's any more milestones uncompleted then try those before the cost to state. trust me, not every milestone is required to beat him. one day i got in a big big big big big big big big big big big biiiiiiiiiiiiig pursuit and got reeeeeeeeeeeally lucky because i evaded. that pursuit was so big that i completed every milestone that i didn't complete from the others and all of his milestones. just keep practicing(if you get busted, restart your ps2 and try again in a different car(if you have a different car)you may hav to practice a looooooooot!) then one day when you get on there you will get lucky(it will take a veeeeeeeeery long time if you run into a lot of walls. i almost lost a race because of that, and i can't tell you how many times i got busted in a pursuit because i ran into a wall)
oh, and neeeeeeeever eeeeeeeeever even attempt to reset your car unless you reeeeaaaaaaaally wanna get busted(reset your car and it's an automatic busted!

I tried what A2 said lots of times and it worked on none of them. since that didn't work, no there isn't a cheat but you could race a lot and get $1billion(yes it's possiible just race a tollbooth on #1 a lot of times).
Well my man there isnt a cheat code for it but you can select races from blacklist dudes you already beat k wile your diving press down scroll through and select easy races
If you have lots of cars, go to the one stop shop, and go to body then sell everything you will get money. or sell one of your cars, but do the first sentence first. that's the only way with no races or anything I know.
There are trainers if you had the pc version.It could make you jump up to ten meters just by pressing the "E" key.I use it all the time when I have fun and make long pursuits.There are other options on the trainer such as infinite nos,no blown engine,never get busted. -Answer by:Executer
No but the only way to keep your tires from being blown is if you are close to a roadblock that has spike strips if you ae going too fast to dodge it reset your car and reverse
Go thru the pursuit breakers (red triangles on the map) and if this dusnt work keep makin sharp turns you will soon loose the cops. then go to a hiding spot ( blue circles on the map) in cooldown mode and you will evade! -Answer by:Pantee
When you come to a split road and you have cops on you, just act like you are going one way then use your speedbreaker to cut the car sharply. Once that happens, you better drive as fast as you possibly can, and get to a hiding place.
Use a fast car and the highway around rosewood. it will be easier because the roadblocks will NOT covor all of the road! from there find the baseball stadium and use the pursuit breaker in there. before you get back on the other side check and see if there are any cops behind you and if not, go to the cooldown spot and wait. the cops shouldn't find you there. if they do use forest green country club and there they shouldn't find you(sorry, haven't tried this country club much because I usually use the stadium).
It does have a high top speed, but if I were you, I would get the Porshe Carrera GT. Max it out. I had one and it went 357 miles per hour. It is initialy the fastest car on the game.

Dont go to the bus station. there is a place in rockport which is so much better. select the last icon on bounty and take the first right. then you will come too a crossing which you also take a right at but go on the grass. you willl then find a ramp but don't go over it just sit on it but you need to have a high heat level and also make sure no-one follows you on the grass
You need to sit there for longer than 30min. to make 200,000. trust me, last night I ended up with a new record...33.5MILLION!by the way, I done things other than watch the pursuit because I knew I couldn't get busted, so I watched t.v., went to the bathroom, etc... WITH MY PS2 RUNNING. lol, it's on right now(not paused)(i'm gonna set a new record today) because I can't get busted I leave it running while I do other stuff and end up with these HUGE amounts of bounty!by the way, it was running for about 4hr's last night.
I typed A3 and just found out that you need to move your car just a little every 15million to not get busted. I didn't get that new record because the cops wouldn't call for backup and they ran into each other way too much so they ended up totaling their cars, ALL OF THEM! lol. it stopped at 20 million bounty.
Might lose it all? well, ex-cuh-use me for setting a new record of 33.5+million bounty IN ONE PURSUIT!(in #6's gallardo) by the way(whoever asked the question) get into the stadium and wait where the cooldown spot is(easier in the corner) and wait for mia's call. that's the easiest way and that's how I done it. when she calls start driving get to and pass that area through the highway it won't let you drive into. after the bridge drive straight and finish the game.
If you have one more car left that is dead fast go to a race that you are good at do so many times until you have the right amount of money you can get it back. cooooooooooooooooooooooooooool bro.
The drag is a little easier than the sprint, but I can tell you how to beat it. If you have played NFS Carbon, and had Nikki as a drafter, just follow behind baron for a while then when you see a staight stretch, pull out from behinh him and you should rocket forward.
Beat him in the only mercedes available in this point in game and tune it all the way except for the one that effects it the least not including brakes or handling.
A pink slip is the form stating you own the vehicle and that you can drive it, winning a pink slip shifts the rights of the car 2 u, basically making it so that you own the car(always go for the pink slip)
You could get the heat lv. 6 easy just make it black(including windows) and tune it all the way. the same thing can be done for heat lv. 4. other than that there's no way.
Have a perfect start(know your car's rpm for the perfect start) and try as hard as you can on the perfect shifts. your car has manual in drag races. this may take a few times because of traffic and level of dificulty(but especially traffic).
Final level, against heat 6, right. if so, just ram into pursuit breakers like a terrorist, and stall until mia's call. then drive to the spot on the map.
This is not wat I did I fought it out but,if you have to use as many pursiut breakers as possible! then go to bus station on top of last bus.then cops c u,get annoyed 1 mite come from behind on ramp but back into him ram him off.wait till mia calls then jus bust a move.
To past the final pursuit you have to crash in to breakers then when mia calls go to rosewood and find old bridge trust me i already compleyed the game and on my second profile i beat bull got his pinkslip and now i am working on razor

A1 is right. ming's car is how I got 33.5million bounty in 1 pursuit, so HIS CAR IS NOT SLOW! and obviously you have to drive not at full throttle. but if you change heat levels and the cop starts driving away(lol, quitter quitter. seriously, it's happened to me TONS of times) then you have to drive full throttle and if your lucky you can catch up to him.
See you have to get mia 's call nad when toy enter the spot marked in your map there would be a small sort of opening beside the main rod and when you enter it drive fast and the bridge comes and you have to drive through it abd then movie stars showing your escape and your career ends
You know that highway you cant drive through? it'll be that highway. you know, for mia to call you you cant see the bridge. it'll look really weird if all of a sudden, the thing keeping you from getting to that bridge went away. you cannot be close enough to see it at all. you can be at the baseball stadium parking lot where the cooldown spot is((corner)where I was when I beat it) or anywhere else... just drive for 5min. and at 5min. mia WILL CALL YOU but you can NOOOOOOOOT see the highway to the bridge for it to happen. take my advice and not risk it and go to the corner of the baseball stadium where the cooldown spot is and wait. it's just how the game was made that's making it do that. it's weird, but it's true.

I know 2 that's VERY easy with the bus station. go to the bus station up to the 2nd floor all the way to the end and wait for as long as you want. if you evade with the bounty milestone and the time milestone(lasts so long then evade) then you can simply get all the photo tickets. then your free to challenge him as long as you have a certain # of wins.

Why not try getting about 2 milestones then evade. try to drive down the highway around rosewood as much as possible. sometimes just get off that highway and try to drive around big roads(bigger than the road your safehouse at the top of the map is on)as soon as posible make your way back to the highway around rosewood(i'm not saying turn around on the road your on-just occasionally do that on ONLY a big road) and stay on it most of the time. or, you could try getting a better car(or use a faster car you have)you may have to do quite a few races to get the money for the car(or upgrade your car)... or both. trust me, it works.-by: ps2/pc game master
You need a great car(fast) but what to do about bounty and time is use the bus station. get on the second floor, drive all the way up((not on buses)as far as your car can go) make sure you have a few cops on your tail, they run into each other. from there you can watch t.v. or do whatever you want(t.v. off+game not paused+bus station=fun) trust me, I done that last night and evaded with over 33.5million bounty!:)))))))))))-by: ps2/pc game master

I guessed one was saying "what on earth are they doing?" and the other said "i dunno but it looks fun. I want in." then the first one said "me too, lets go." and the 2nd one said "i agree lets go!" lol.:P when someone left I thought he said "that was fun, lets go again." and they went back again and beat them up, I thought the driver was on your side and the cars on the cop's side and the driver's went like "yeah, this is fun. now I wanna wreck my car to help the racer get away" lol.:P or they could have said "ahhh(yelling), the car's outta control! well, I might as well sit here and wait for me to get it back." lol.:P sorry it's too long.

Yeah, A1 said what I normally do to get out of it.(baseball stadium) get to any pursuit breaker and go through it. also, it helps if cross is on your tail. I took him out one day in #5's corvette!:) oh, one more thing. have a lot of cops on your tail. trust me, it works.
