Well if youve played mission 7 of area 7 you wont get to play mission 10 of area 7. and I think if you wouldve played mission 10 of area 7 you woudve got the F-35-B Lighting.and that mission 7 of area 7 wouldve been the F/A-22 Raptor if im not mistaken. -Answer by:jose101

This is a surefire way to do it if you're question wasn't answered well enough.

Follow these instructions. do not deviate and you will beat this mission. 1. get the mig-29 or f15c 2. get 4 shortrange radar guided missles 3. get half a tank of fuel 4. you will start the mission with the target plane heading toward you (but at a much higher altitude) immediately turn 180 degrees so that you are heading in the same direction as the target plane 5. put on your afterburners and start climing at 20 degrees. this is important because the bogeys that will appear will appear at the 20 degree mark 6. as soon as you start your climb set your wingman to "AIR" 7. somewhere around 20 to 26 thousand feet the bogeys will appear basically right on your reticle (IF YOU ARE CLIMBING AT 20 DEGREES AS INSTRUCTED) 8. fire ONE sidewinder at one bogey. (dont worry about the second one your wingman is already on him because he is set to "AIR" 9. the bogey is a fast and deadly shot, but if you fire your sidewinder as SOON as he pops up on screen, he will evade instead of firing at you. 10. now that he is evaded forget about him and keep climbing to about 33 thousand feet and turn towards the target plane. 11. all you have to do is spot the plane and put your reticle on him, fire all of your remaining sidewinders (2 will do) and boom, he is toast you now have an f22 (be aware that at 33 thousand feet the target plane is STILL likely to be above you so keep your eyes peeled a lil higher than you are.)
