My screen froze and so did my friend's. Does this happen to anybody else?

Yes! I make progress and it freezes. It is so frustrating!

YES! When playing a previously saved freeform game mine freezes all the time. It is driving me crazy. Today I built onto my zoo for 10 - 15mins and it froze and had to be re-started 4 times! I gave up after that.
Yes, it usually happens when I bump the ds just a little or when something touches the game card just very lightely. Sometimes it does just freeze.

I have zoo tycoon 1 and zoo tycoon 2. Number 1 is from 2008 and freezes all of the time. I got number 2 Dec. 25, 2009 and in just froze for the first time (Jan. 8 '10)! I hate it! I love the game but have completly given up on it.

Yes, it happened to me, too! But, it's probably caused by the heat in your DS. You know, it's like a wii. If it's on too long, it heats up and freezes.

HelpfulI have found that the zookeepers freeze up sometimes, and all they do is stand there and dont put food out. so you have to get rid of them and employ others. sometimes you have to start the game over cos they dont work.

Pick them up and place them by the food
Don't worry if you have a zoo keeper in the exhibit they will replenish food stocks automatically it will only say it once as by the time the animal goes back to feed again the keeper will have put the food down.
When the thing at the top says that they cant find any food move the zoo keeper in there cage away from the food and move the hungry animal next to the food and it should start eating xxxxxxxxxx hope I helped

Ya, you have to research the animals to get them. You don't have to buy the cards to get them at all. You are just wasting money.

Keep trying terrains and more toys. there are a certain type of tree that each animal likes. research helps too. have a zoo keeper in all the exhibits. put in a shelter. maybe put in another animal.
This sometimes happens for no logical reason. just sell the animal and buy a new one.

Umm...You go to the picture of the persons head on the left side of your screen and buy a zookeeper thin place the zookepper in the exibit and you want have to worry about them any other time.....But for dolfins in the aquarium fence need too be with the person called Marine Trainer. Hopes this heips ya!
Some times the animals are lonly it helps to buy more but not to manny. Also search the internet and find out if they live in packs or groups

Could be either, too many staff limit is 10, 12 or 14 depending on research level, OR you're putting a zookeeper in an exibit that has one or needs a Marine Trainer.
If it says put zookeeper on path its because you must be trying to put it on and animal rock or tree or water
Well, in a aquatic exhibit, you have to put a Marine Trainer inside it and there's also a limit on how many people you can have.

Im stuck on the same one, all boxes are ticked but I still lose, only thing I can think is that some of the animals die of old age, maybe we still need all the animals we started with, not very good if they dont breed, thats the only thing I can think of
The "Paradise Island Glitch" goes as follows: If your first two animals die of old age... you lose the scenario. That is the ones in the carts you start with, which you can't sell either. No known fix, perhaps doing a hard reset with your system to erase all game data might fix the problem. You have to have the cartridge in the system when you do it. Good luck.
I'm stuck on this one too, I have been trying for 6 years since we bought the game when it first came out, when you look at the 'Months to complete and scroll down, there are 2 dots with no writing next to them, I think these are hidden targets and until you find out what they are you will never win this scenario, possible targets could be, you need a male and female offspring of every animal (afterall the object of this scenario is to preserve the lifelines of these animals) another may be to have over a certain number of animals in your zoo overall, also to not have any animals taken away for poor treatment (this frustrates me, as the zookeeper sometimes just stands there if an animal is ill!:( Has anyone else had this problem?)as they are meant to give the animal an injection if it is ill, sometimes they don't, I have tried sacking the keeper and replacing him, but that don't work either :( obviously you will fail, as if an animal is taken away for poor treatment you are not doing your job in preserving them. I think you will only fail if either or both of the first two animals die of old age BEFORE they have bred, once they have bred and you have a male and female offspring then it doesn't matter if the first two die, it is extremely difficult to get a male and female baby of every animal, as elephants and pandas don't breed very often. I wish I knew the hidden targets!

You have to keep pressin the zoo keepers advice button in the bottom left and if the need disappears you know that the animal has enough of that terrain (note. move the hand in the exhibit to activate the zoo keepers advice button.)
This has happened to me befor, the zookeper and terrain goes completely irrational. you have to sell the animal and buy a new one.
This is just a glitch. It doesnt just happen to just the sea lion: I've had it happen to a Thompson's Gazette, Lion and a Bengal Tiger.
It seems to occur more often when there is alot of animal exhibits in the zoo.
All you have to do is to get rid of the animal. If that doesn't work, get rid of the zookeeper, and if that doesn't work: delete the exhibit and start again.

You have to wait untill you have atleast 3 stars for your zoo (in the top left corner on the top screen). Once you have that, you have to go to the little blue tab on the top left on the touch screen. Tap that and then tap the bottle/beaker full of green liquid and then a screen appears. On the screen, there are 4 pictures. All of them should be locked. You tap the arrows up to raise the ammount of money that you pay per day. Then wait.

When you have 15 animals, just make sure that they all have the terrain and foliage they like, the shelters and toys, possibly a mate and babies, and then make sure they have a zoo keeper to keep them fed and their cage tidy and this should do it.

Hey, I found that if I made at least 3 exibits of each type of the endangered animals that it says you have to breed, with a male and a female in each, I managed to get them to breed in the end :) (and obviously put other animals in the zoo too to keep the people happy)

Here's the problem... the Paradise Island scenario has a glitch. A very bad one, if any of your 1 or2 animals die of old age you lose. No matter your efforts, if you lose all of a species you fail also. Supposedly folks have finished the game, but I've yet to find a copy without the glitch. Worse, this is one of two DS games that was actually programmed not to be able to be reset. So, you can'tclear the glitch.

I'm in the second faze after the tutorial and I can get past the part where it says have four different types of animals but when it says people have been complaining about being hungry I open food courts, drinks stands, restroom and that cart thingy along with several tables it it still show as incomplete and it says I failed also when I checked I haven't had any service in my stands either, help?

I found that if you placed the Okapi in a cage that the guests can't see into they breed much better. Have a large enclosure and only place a male in their first, give him time to settle then add a female if an "angry" face appears then you have introduced her too soon, Sell her and try again later. If no face appears then they should mate.
I put multiple females with one Male. I agree that you should try to put their enclosure somewhere reasonably private and not near big cat enclosures. I can't get past this level because I can't keep my guests at satisfaction level 93....they are very hard to please! No matter how many hamburger, hot dog stands etc that I set up, they still complain about being hungry! Pain in the butt!

I am struggling here too. Exactly the same. I can't get the okapi to breed and my guests are always hungry! I will try the advice. I hope it works. I have started from scratch on this level three times trying to pass it! Grr.

Make the Okapi your first exhibit, as it will give them the most time to breed. When you make the exhibit, put one male and one female in before you put terrain/trees/rocks, then put all that in according to the happy faces you get. Make about half of the fence a type of fence that doesn't allow guests to see in, because Okapi are shy and this gives them privacy. You should research animal fertility also, it's under animal care and will increase the chances of a baby. If they don't breed after a year, sell both of them and get two more. This way, the new pair will already be in a perfect exhibit. This worked for me, hope it helps!

If you're playing free mode there will be a number that says 100,000 press the arrow in the touch screen up till it reach 500,000. and you get 500,000 money or more!
:Put a male and female of each animal in the paddocks. When they breed sell the babies. eg, the elephants are 20,000 each, so 40,000 for 2. But they will have babies and they sell for 10,000 each. The Black Panthers are a good bet as they breed quickly.
Don't use the main menu cheat.

If your on freeform mode you can get unlimeted cash by pressing the yellow button under how much cash you want to start with.
