Not much but what I recomend is to get the sibearen and tiger collar with the kirn hoof and bodyguard manual so that way you can atleast have 4 strongbodyguards that cant b killedand dont lose the peons
All the stats of your weapons stay, whenever you upgrade them in free mode.
If you want to use those weapons in Empire mode, you will have to upgrade the smithy of that particular weapon to the level of the weapon you would like to have.
Level 1 weapon you already have, level 2 weapon requires 100 smithy, level 3 - 200 smithy, level 4 - 300 smithy etc..
Each time you upgrade a blacksmith, it goes up by 20, so don't be worried by the high numbers. To find out which smith your character's weapon uses, go into the information section of the empire mode, and select weapons. Find your officers weapon and see the symbol. One's a blade, one's a spear and one a strange fan thing. They relate to the smithy you need to upgrade.
Blade for bladesmith, spear for spearsmith, and everything else for weaponsmith. If you don't want to find out the weapon type, or you want to upgrade them all, there is an allsmith, which is quite a bit more expensive, but worth it if you are wanting the max weapon for every character. To get the max weapon, you must have the max smithy for whatever weapon you are using, then go into a fight with the level 3 weapon that you have, and pretty much kick ass.. I have gotten the max weapon from less than 200 kills, but to be safe, I usually go for at least 300.
The commanders have special abilities that assist them in battle like for ex: if an officer has fire, in battle the officer will use fire on a base to damage the guard captains and make it easier to take over
Press consult every turn. If you do not find any new assignment cards, use the turn on something else(e.g. buy horses). Do this until you see an assignment card that has the "new!" label on top of it, then see what it is. To get "new!" assignment cards more often, play the hard or chaos mode.
A2:
1. Isolate a force, 2. Use Invite Attack on that force, 3. Clear out officers out of all cities that would, if lost, isolate one of your own cities, 4. Enemies can't resist unguarded places, 5. Next turn: Voila!
Level 4 weapons -[Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires ]
You first raise a weapon type to the maximum levels, then defeat 500 enemies to unlock the level 4 weapon type for that character. *** Each type of weapon is only unlocked based on your own weapon. Hence, a sword unlocks level 4 swords, etc. Alternatively, play Empire mode on any difficulty setting. Defeat the main Boss of a stage in less than four minutes to get a level 4 weapon at the end of the stage. -Answer by:xxsparksxx
Well, this for me. Get your weapons to 3 weapon. Then kill 1,000 em=nemies. To get 1,000, simply pick a stage to fight, but not a stage when you have to fight a Ruler. Tell all of your Generals to Defned bases, while you go to the enemies main camp and keep on killing people -Answer by:NaiSai
In refference to the other answer, 1000 ko's is completely unnecessary for the fourth weapon. I have recieved it a few times from having just over 200, but I always thought it was 300 for the fourth weapon. Get 500 and your weapon is definitely secured, but 1000... It's just a waste of time.
Actually you don't need 1000 kills its really 500 kills
also its common sense if you look to previous dynasty warriors you should notice that to unlock 4th weapons you must kill 500 ppl with your 3th weapon unlocked. in DW5E if you kill 1000 you unlock for that character an extra slot for items
You don't have to kill 1000 troops to get a 4th weapon. For most characters you have to kill 500 troops, some characters differ though like some are 200 or 300 kills.
Get all your commanders to defend your main base and then charge to the enemies main base and pick a location where there are only regular troops and no officers and just kill everything in your sight until you get 500 kills. -Answer by:silver knight
Armor troops get Zhu Rong in the counsel, couse uprising leave and outnumber a tyrent like Dong Zhuo or go 2 a gathering of hereos starting without exp and new things you dont have yet will more likely appear -Answer by:gamemasterrules

Take over the Nanman place in Empire mode. Then when you're doing preparing like buying your strategies, go to development for new items and select the Nanman place. Then, you go to your strategy Nanman Trade, that's the way of how to get the Mammoth. It's just an Elephant that is color Gray -Answer by:NaiSai
