In your Licence board you have to buy Quickening. As soon as you bought your quickening your MP sign will turn orange. That means you have 1 "Chip", you can summon 1"Chip" monsters. You can buy 3 times quickening for each of your characters. -Answer by:Rain17
To obtain a esper you must have the license to use it. but you also need a quickening to obtain the.Note: you have to get the licenses of everything leading to a quickening or esper. after you do that your MP bar will turn orange. also your MP will double if you get two quickenings and triple if you get three for the same character. this will allow you 2 summon bigger and better espers. you need to have belias summoned and then touch the door he will make these weird motions with his hands and then bow as you enter giruvegan
Be at lvl 13+ and you have to have an eksir berry, if not you have to have a dark magick(Garuda hates dark magicks).
to get the eksir berry, go to the nam-yensa sandeas and go to the area in the north of the map(not the first area but the second area, the larger one) if you go there you will see a buncha monsters fighting an emeralditan called yensa eater, to beat him you must be at lvl12+ with good stats, after you beat him go to the area where there is a stray chocobo wandering(the chocobo that you have to give a gyshal green to let you ride it, it is near the white moogle) you should see some yensa looking monsters that are gathered, talk to them and then a yensa monster(the humanoid one, forgot the name) will try to talk to you I think he is giveng gratitude because you killed that emeralditan...., after that the queen yensa humanoid will appear, she can speak human language, she will translate the words her followers are saying. after that, the yensa monster will disappear after the queens conversation with you, you will see a flower that has a fruit, press X to it and you will get the eksir berry, it has a dark element on it.
now, to beat garuda start of with equiping a ranged type weapon cause he is flying, next if you have buffs, buff up vossler so he won't die easily, protect, shell, etc. have your main character gambitize an ALLY: HP>50%
just for support, equip your main character with a weapon that has a buff on it, like the measures, if you think the stat of that weapon is heplful to you, hit your self with it and you will be affected with it's effect(it's better with a measure that has a HASTE effect on it) your main character must be afar to Garuda so that he won't attack you, use dark magick if you have one, if his hp is only 1/4 use the eksir berry to knock the pants out of him, continue attacking him and you will defeat him.
XTRA: if you are inside raithwall's tomb, lvl up to 25 until you have some quckening to all of your characters, kill the 1st demon wall and then after that go to the wall that that demon wall first hanged out there should be a glowing object, touch it and a secret passage will open, there will be stairs in the side of the area, go there and you will encounter some flan monsters, continue until you will see a chest, open it and you will have a 70% chance of getting the DEMONSBANE weapon. if you failed to get it, wait until it respawns and open it again. -Answer by:finalfantasyman
Megalixir are so rare to find. I know some places where to find them but they DON'T respawn!
1. In the Henne Mines 2 Dig. its a glowing object on the ground.
2. In Giruvagan, a chest that looks like a diamond.
3. A reward for a hunt from Montblanc.
Elixirs can be mostly found in the Henne Mines 2 Dig.
You must have the Diamond Armlet permanent on, so the chance of getting it is higher. Do NOT equip the diamond armlet infront of a treasure or else you'll only receive Knot of Rusts. -Answer by:Rain17

You dont even need quickenings if larsa is in the party. just use bacchus' wine to berserk your strongest melee. the only attack that it actually has going for it is spinkick and even so you should use a distance for medic purposes and your leader as melee to defend distance plus to use support magick. Larsa will handle the healing as well. I repeat, quickenings will not be necessary. Thios post is prolly dead anyway but what if someone needs info?
The dull fragment is in the central waterway control area in the garamsythe waterway. open all of the gates so that the lights are off. Begin by closing gates 11 and 4, then open gate 11 and shut gate 3, next open gate 4. then walk arount to gate 3 and look on the ground to finy the dull fragment.
Successfully complete the crime and punishment hunt to obtain the blackened fragment.
Grimmy fragment takes some work. You have to go to the muted scarp in the nabreus deadlands and speak to ma'kleou about who he is. then return to rabanstre and lowtown and speak to roh'kenmou. then go find filo, he is in the southeast corner of lowtown's south sprawl. then go to rabanastre's southern plaza and speak to the curious woman at the fountain. then go to the muthru bazaar and speak to the two merchants who remember selling a necklace to an imperial. go to urgri's magicks in east end rabanastre and speak to the imperial inside the shop near the door and tell him about the woman at the fountain. then go to lowtown's north sprawl and find kytes near warehouse #5 and ask to see the woman. return to yugri's magicks and speak with the imperial again to recieve the grimy fragment
return all three pieces to roh'kenmou in Old Dalan's place. Then travel to archades and Charlotte's Magickery in molberry. Speak roh'kenmu about the moonsilver medallion. Go to old archades and find Otto in the northeast corner of the ally of muted sighs. He turns over the moonsilver medallion. Return it to Charlotte's magickery and give it the way Otto gave it to you to Roh'kenmu.
Return to muted scarp in the nabreus deadlands and talk to ma'kleou once more. He talks about three beasts. Use the secret path just to the right of the northwest corner of the slumbermead to reach the fog mutters and overlooking eternity. reach the shrine and climb the steps to the center. you are presented with the party with the medallion of bravery, love, and lusterless.
No go to the nechol of nabudis and open the doors to fight fury, humbaba mistant and the cool esper chaos. But be warned the attack command is disabled when you fight chaos. Use souleater on him as well as his 4 jets to finish the battle quickly
I am not sure that trick's trustworthy or not, but who discovered it said youd have to open them in the same order youve done so in Phon coast's treasure pack. I havent found any large pack of treasure in Nabudis, so I am clueless if it is factual or not.

but the eziest way to get fomolhaut is in lhusu mines where the antilion hunt monster was (the little area). You need to go around in a circle, start from the farthest southern exit on the east side of destinys march and walk south down into falls of time and then into the mirror of the soul zone. walk to the farthest western exit in the mirror of the soul zone and take that exit back into falls of time. if you do it right a message will pop up telling you that the waterfalls have changed direction. after this keep going in a circle through falls of time to destinys march and back through mirror of the soul making the circle smaller each time by missing out an exit until you reach pilgrims door :)
No. If you opened four specific treasure chests in certain areas of the game you will not be able to get the zodiac spear in the necrohol of nabudis. You have to leave those certain chests unopened in order to get the zodiac spear.
Nope, you just can't have opened the 4 treasures in the game that control whether or not it appears. (One outside Old Dalan's house, one when you sneak into the fortress, one after you and baltheir kick those bully-seeq's butts, and the other on phon coast with all those 16 treasures on the beach)
No and there are 4 treasure chests in the game that rig were you find zodiac spear so if you open them then you can NEVER get it. the first is in front of old dalens house the two others are in barhiem passage and the last is all of the 16 treasure chests put together in the vladu strand in fone coast. I completly messed my account when trying to get it because I didn't know about the treasure chests
If you do open these chests it can still be found in the henne mines near a lot of big boxes in the area you unlock after you defeat ten espers and talk to geomancer yugelu in jahara there is a low chance of the chest appearing but keep trying and it will appear if it does appear there is still a low chance of getting it and you cant get if you dont have a diamond armlet(can be bought in dalmasca westersand after pharos at ridorana)if the chest appears there is still about a one in a hundred chance of getting it. the zodiac spear respawns here it will take a loooong time but you could still get one for every member of the team. it will take ages but be patient and you will get it
Actually, the chance of that chest in the henne mines spawning is 1/10, the chance of it not being a knot of rust is 1/10, and the chance of it being the spear instead of gil is 1/10 too. this makes your overall chance 1/1000, which isnt even worth thinking about.
the spear isnt even that good anyway - good damage but hardly ever combo's, and 2 hits by a masamune does more damage. it also takes ages to load up the attack. trust me, you just don't need the spear :)

Make sure u have some guickenings for people. kill the guards first and have shelll on. cause ghis uses aero. after the guards are done use everything u got on ghis (quickenings, spells etc.)

Dude, I am the smartest person here! I was level 6 when I attacked him and got raped so here's what ya do: You know how the save point heals you? Well there is an unlimited amount of Emperials that start coming out after that so you stay at the area closest to the save point and start killing the Emperials! If your health starts to get low, then go back to the save point and you will be healed! Plus I got my monster chain to 99 once and I leveled up to 27 just doing that. It may be tedious but it works.(I totally raped him the minute I used my Quickenings though.....9999 dmg.....) Anyway hope I helped! And make sure you stock up on potions and phoniex downs!(Not that you need them if you have Quickenings....)After the battle I got 60000 Gil^_^grf

Fter you fish out the Cactoid Compact you can move on to the hidden shoals. You need a few perfect trips here before moving on to the Den of the River Lord where you will have to just get 9 of the series right (it's the same one over and over again). Then you get the Lu Shang's Badge and never have to fish again.

I'm not sure if you can no longer do the quest or not but here are the steps. If Dantro hasn't told you to give the flower to his wife himself yet, you have to talk to him first before you can give it to her. After he asks you to give it to her, go to the village she's in and then give it to her. When I did it, I couldn't give the flower to her until after Dantro asked me to give it to her himself first. Anyways, after you have give Dantro's Wife the flower, talk to her again. She will then ask you to bring her at least one Semclam Shell. Two of them can be found along the shoreline of the Nebra in the village itself but you only need one of them. Give that the Semclam Shell to Dantro's Wife. After that, talk to her again and she will ask for Nebralim. You must go back to the Outpost after she has asked for the Nebralim and talk to Dantro. He will tell you that the Nebralim is over by some crates but you can't find it until after you have talked to Dantro. Go back to the village Dantro's Wife is in and give her the Nebralim. Then talk to her yet again and she will ask for Valeblossom Dew. You will have to cross the Nebra for the Valeblossom Dew. In order to do this, you will have to talk to the people that are at the shoreline near a boat that has come adrift. You must agree to go with the child (I forgot his name) across the Nebra to see what has happened to everyone that has kept them at the North Bank. Surprisingly to see, they have been held hostage by Cactoids. The child's father has been taking order from their leader and says that all that the Cactoids were doing was trying to find their son. Then you must go back across the Nebra and talk to Dantro's Wife again. She will say something about throwing the flower you gave her behind the house after she made the medicine. Go find it and the Cactoid that you must find with pop up out of the ground, or that's what it looked like to me. It will then follow you, you must take it across the Nebra and return it to the other Cactoids. Then the Cactoids leave and only then will you be able to go beyond the North Bank Village. Beforehand, the path was blocked. Now you can go retrieve the Valeblossom Dew in the Broken Sands. It would be wise to have a map to find your way. In the Broken Sands, there will be cliffs. There are trees that have flowers at the tops of their braches, those are where the Valeblossom Dews can be found. You must go to the top of a cliff where the tips of the branches of the trees touch in order to get a Valeblossom Dew. You only need one but there are more than just one. When you get one, go back to the village that Dantro's Wife is in and give the Valeblossom Dew to her. Talk to her once more and she will say that the traveler in the house will recover soon or something like that. Then exit the village, you can immediately go right back into the village after exiting it if you wish. Then speak with Dantro's Wife yet again. She will tell you that the traveler has fully recovered and stands behind the house, wishing to thank you. Go speak with him and he will give you the Barheim Passage Key because he no longer wants it due to all the trouble he got into trying to find treasure and getting himself severly injured. Just follow through the rest of the events and you have now access to the north village via ferry and you can continue with the barheim key sidequest.
TAlk to Tchigri by the bank of the river. There should be a ferry without his dad. If the ferry is not there. re-enter the village. Talk to Tcigri and he will take you to the north village. After a seemingly boring cutscene, talk to his dad and you will find your self back to the south village automatically. Talk to dantro's wife and she'll tell you she threw the cactus flower you gave her. Go behind her hut and you will find the flower and a surprise. Go back to Tchigri and just follow through the rest of the events. Now you have now access to the north village via ferry and you can continue with the barheim key sidequest.
You have to go to the north bank. I did the same thing, then complete the sidequest with the flowering cactoid that has taken the north bank hostage. After that, follow the directions that everyone has posted. Dantro's wife will then ask you to look for the items to nurse the traveler back to health and you will get the barheim key.
If none of your party has quickening :
you must learn water first. then :
you must have reflect, shell, protect, and other positive status to all of your party before the battle begins. make vossler as a bait to lure belias, so belias will only targets vossler. set a gambit like this in the first priority "ally : hp < 60% cure". just begin cast water or use water mote to belias, and kaboom! belias is dead, and tring... you've got an esper : belias the gigas -Answer by:AngelLover
Use protect and shell on all your party. get your party using hand axes and iron hammers. when he get 1/4 health he uses firaja that does a lot of damage. use phoenix downs and high potions.

You can get over 9999 health with the bubble belt but it doesn't show you the screen. e.g if you have over 9999 health and get hit and damaged by 300hp, you will see that your health will still be 9999. i,ve reached up to at least 14,000 with Vaan. equipping certain equipment will make your health lower or higher.
Yes there is. ya gotta get ya max hp past 5000 and use bubble or bubble belts. then act like ya want switch leaders and it will say its real amount. I did this at lv 99 with the strongest light armors and it said 16,000 for basch! -Answer by:BlueRose
U could use dispel/dispelga on your guys to remove...altho this will also remove all positive buffs you may have on...but that'll do the trick for the reflectga :
It's pretty easy I guess, all you need to do is let the character that has reflect magic on and when you revive them I would suppose it woluld have gone. If the magic is on entire party just kill them one at a time.
If the status is made through magic, it will come off in time. If it's made through the auto-status of your armor/accessory (mirror mail/ruby ring), go to the menu screen and unequip that armor/accessory, or equip an opal ring to ignore the status.
Ok go into the back of his house when you give his wife the flower in the back there will be a cactus thing (i forgot what there called) ok now when you get the cactus thing then his son will take you across to the North Bank when you are there the cactus thing will find its mom and then you can get Dantro I really hope this has answerd your Question -Answer by:hiddenlotos

and get loads of treasure that contain shot at cerobi steppe
I believe you can only buy the Onion version of any of the ammos from some of the merchants, but can only get the Elemental and other non Onion ammos from the Hunts and other activities in the game.
The hidden merchant is in a secret room, to get there enter nabudis from the salikawood. Check your map and find the room in the north of the area you are in, find that long hall in the north with a room next to it and go in. Go around that room and the merchan should be in one of its corner.

The zodiac spear is deep within the necrohol of nabudis you have to first make it to the 2nd level which is in the bottom left of the map (if you r entering thru the salikawood) then follow it till you reach stairs again n go to the 3rd level in the top right of the map now you head right down the corridor and take the first left, then the next left and its the 3rd chest there (from the right)
case your low in level I recommend use of float and only worrying about your leader as long as he/she makes it to a safe area you can heal and prepare to keep going

Go to that room north of where chaos is, its a small room and it there will be a mess of treasure in it, open all of them and you will find the Zodiac spear. If not than something must be wrong.

In the 3rd little area there will be a tree lookin thing in the map go up and left to the next little chamber there will be 16 chest without diamond armlet not of rust a z spear with that dark matters no spear
Me too have the same problem. I opened all the chests that I shouldnt have opened, but keept in mind that ultimate glitch and searched for the chests in nabudis at cloister of highborn...but did not found them!
Ok, it doesnt matter which of the 2 Demon Walls your fighting, as you will notice there are fires that burn along both sides of the walkway. as the Demon Wall is approaching you, you can touch the fires and it will stop the Demon wall for a few seconds, allowing you time to pummel it for a few, if it starts to move again just run down and touch another fire.
For the first demon wall, don't fight it unless you want to get killed. Instead, run like crazy. Run to the back door and open it. There, you should find the second demon wall, which is so much easier. Enjoy!
The rest of my party were at about a level 25 and had golden armors..
As I battled him, none of my characters died...first have all this stuf like me. Second, use bravery on Vaan and get him berserked. Third, Vaan will easily kill those flying little robots each in 3 hits...then, doctor cid will be all yours.....warning: near the end of the game, you will meet doctor cid again. he will be a bit harder and will have a rank 3 esper with him:famfrit....GOOD LUCK!
But if you dont have many powerful items like me (my characters were crap when I defeated the 1st dr cid) Just have a good healing character, and two characters attacking the rooks. when the rooks are down you have dr cid to yourself, hack away at him but beware of his special attack. when you get a little more desperate, use quickenings + ethers. -Answer by:SkyeWinters

After you obtain the lantern that lights the way, there should be a path open to you that leads north after you enter the north entrance from site 5. It looks like any other way through the mines, so pay attention to your map to see that there is no marked path for that part of the tunnel.
Make each of the statues face the center of the shrine. Check your map to see which way they are facing. They will have big yellow arrows in the direction they face.
There should be a space in the middle of the map for the stilshrine of miriam. That is the Collosus Statue. Point all 3 statues toward the statue and it will lift up it's sword to let you pass to the obtainable esper mateus the corrupt
First there are three stone statues that you have to rotate either clockwise or counter-clockwise but all have to face toward the giant Gigas statue in the middle of the map. {For the statue in the west section of the map you nedd to face it toward the east, [looking toward the Gigas statue].{for the statue in the southern section you the need to face it to the north, [looking toward the Gigas statue yet agian].{For the statue in the eastern section, you need to face it toward the west, [agian looking toward the the Gigas statue]. Upon leaving the eastern section there will be an FMV. Proceed to the base of the Gigas statue and proceed under the huge sword that has moved now. Before proceeding though where you fought the nightmare (horse) earlier if stand close to the wall on the righthand side of the passage(if your camera view is looking in the direction of the Gigas statue) a hidden stairway will appear proceed up, fight oiling's allong the way.once you reach the top cast float on your party,(trap once you walk into next screen). kill everything as well as the rare game, (matriach bomb).Now proceed to the passage past the Gigas sword. Fight the boss and esper as well I believe.
There are actually 3 stone statues you need to rotate it does not matter which way you rotate them as long as all three of them are pointing to the center so after rotating them hit select to throw up your map and it will show you what way they are pointing (the one to the left needs to point right, the one on the right needs to point left and the one on the bottom needs to point up)
Look at minimap, there 3 stones in all, have them all facing the centre, where the huge statue is. this will make the statue lift the sword blocking your way on the bottom baselemt level passageway. in the first room of this stillshrine there is a waystone at the far end behind this statue, this will take you to the proper path. You can nick a deathbringer off a special mimic in there, the weapon is one handed and good, get 6 and some spare to sell, sorry about the details.
I am asuming that you mean henne mines. Get to at least lvl 50 and get
10 espers(final fantasy sector will help you hear) and do the hunts for the garifs, it will allow accsess to the henne mines.
You can get to the henne mines through a patch of weeds that you can only pass through on a chocobo, there are two of these paths one on the south-east side of the area just outsidejahara and one to the east by the save crystal.

There is an extra one that they didnt put on the list. Its a rare game called the biding mantis. Its in golomore jungle (the needlebrake). It gives you the scythe trophy which isn't on the list for some reason.
There is one good way hed to eastern lands. but before you do so have some quickenings the best way to get the m on your licences is to follow these directions. level up your first accerssories then go up from thatr you will get your second eccessories level up that and go to you fourth eccessories level up that and you will get your first quickening caled red spiral. if you have enoth lp you shoud level up three spaces and one space up to get the white whirl. after you done this go to the eastern lands and to that green dino potroling the the low part of this area use your quickenings to kill it. if it deosn't die run owoy from it and wolk this are antill your mp returns then go back and finish it off. go back to the eastern gate and head back out to this area after you saved and repeat this process .
note: one kill is worth around 5.600exp.
The best places where I leved all may players to lv99 are cerobi steppe and ridorana richtfeuer sorry gat the german version dont know how there called in eng but yall make it. in cerobi steppe the dragons spitt 5.200ep in richt feuer all the zombies in the third floor spitt 2000 with 3 players
Try the Giza plains where the werewolfs are. Use Quickening on them until one of them is dead. Go back to the blue save crystal and get your MP back. Kill the other werewolf and go back to the crystal. To respawn the 2 werewolfs go the other way from the crystal and then turn around and go back. Pass the crystal then you'll see them again. The first time you find her, she is by the Chocobos in the South Gate. The second time you find her, she is in the shop called Yamoora's Gambits in the North End of Rabanastre. The third and final time you find her, she will be sitting on the railing of the balcony in the Sandsea in the East End of Rabanastre. Then you must go talk to the Lovestruck Man and he will ask you to tell her how he feels. Go back to the Sandsea and talk to the Viera and she will run out of the Sandsea to see the Lovestruck Man. You are done by this time but if you decide to go back to the Southern Plaza, speak with the new couple and the Viera will give you a Loxley Bow and two Hi-Potions as a token of her gratitude for bringing them together. First u gotta be able to turn on the Shrine things in the Mosphoron Highwaste....hes at the Empyrean Seat...there are two Well thiings u have to turn on...one is where the 2-3 guys are the other is up past the boulder where the woman says it might fall....hope that helps some...
Finish first the story with the still shrine of miriam.
Go to the mosphoran highwaste. there you can activate switches that makes bolders fly up into airand then go to the place where the chocobo is. Ride itand go past the weeds. Get off it and hit the big bolder that makes your path quicker.
Get back to the mosphoran highwaste and activate the other switch near the save crystal. go back up and youŽll find exodus -Answer by:Rain17
When the gate to the Phon Coast is open the shrines will become active. Touch the shrine of the south (I think) and the shrine with the 2 men in front. Then get the wild chocobo and feed it to ride it. Then go south and go to the preveously inaccesable road to a chocobo only exit. Then go to the lower exit to get back the the Babbling Vale (?). Then you need to touch the shrine and knock down the big boulder for easier access. Then you can get to Empyriam Seat (spelling may be wrong) where Exodus is. BEWARE, he knows extremely bad magic and there is an anti-something field (forgot what kind it blocks).
Go to the fountain in the middle that connects the 3 gates in rabanastre(West Rabanastre). There is a guy called COTZE. he'll tell you to go to his brother NORTHON in Lowtown( right side of the gamethstry waterways. He says that he burried it in the westerland beside a cactus. Its in the West Part ( South-East ). If you got the the item return

Ok you get a chocobo from the two imperials walk away from golmore jungle when you go past the blue line there will be a big bush of vines on your left go down through the vines on the chocobo or it won't work go to the cave work your way through there and you will eventally find mjrn but she is posessed by a spirt and jus after you find her you will encounter a BOSS! just use oil x1 then cast as many fira as you can while it is oiled until it dies. DON'T GIVE UP on killing the tiamat it may be long but you get a fair bit of gil it's worth it
Go to henne mines it is a mine south of the ozmone plains with strong monsters of level 27 below.

For my self, I did'nt across it, this is some kind of glitch, you can't possibly get a Zodiac spear or a Zodiac escutcheon from those bangaas... Someone on that youtube that you are saying, is cheating using an action replay max cd, or he already have that from the beginning...
