Sure RANK 3 MIST at the demons after you kil the first one go outside and heal then use mist in the 2nd demon walls

You don't have to beat the first demon wall! Just flee to the door and then defeat the next demon wall that appears as soon as you go through.Make sure you get as close to the wall as poss' so you can hit it enough times to prevent it eventually crushing you! You can touch the lamps at the side to slow the wall down. Use quickenings, I say level up maybe before and then just keep hitting the thing!

Go back outside and kill some enemies and also there is the boss called mateaus and shes really hard she also has living ice things around her thats called a ice azer there which hes the boss that ends the area and that sword (king raithwalls) later in the game and that temple is called the stillshrine of mariam.(sorry for it to be so long)
Hmm...The previous answers are recommending you to level up in areas that are unreachable in your part of the story line. If your at Raithwalls Tomb, maybe you could level up with some of the Nam-Yensa in the sandsea. If they gang up on you too much and they're too strong for you, then use the teleport crystal outside of the tomb to teleport to rabanastre. You could try leveling up in giza plains/estersands/westersands..which could be painful. -Answer by:SkyeWinters

To help defeat mateus (the boss at the end of the stilshrine of miriam) buy some ice shields at mt bur omisace. the best place to lv up is the paramania rift

Answers +The King Behemoth is in the Edge of Reason near Gate Gigas but in order to fight him, you must kill EVERY monster in the Edge of reason AND Icefield of Clearsight, also respawns. Then after your done, head to Gate Gigas and the Behemoth King should be there...

I almost forgot... The Great Crystal is the place with no map in Giruvegan and that isn't the place where you get the dark esper Zodiark im assuming...its actually the opposite....its the place where you get the HOLY esper, Ultima....Zodiark's in the Henne Mines....

The part where you can find the behemoth king is the edge of reason, kill all monsters(including the monsters in the area after the edge of reason)make sure there aren't respawning monsters, go to the edge of reason and behemoth king will appear in the map if you keep heading straight in the map....

actually you can't find the darkness esper zodiark there, you can only find the holy esper ultima there, zodiark is in henne mines, you can go there after you obtain 10 espers and defeated the mark catoblepas, talk to a certain elder garif there, you will notice him in the first area of the place, he is sitting in an indian sit position.......after you talk to him, he will open the area where zodiark is in....;

I just got ultima yesterday and I tried going after zodiark (my final esper) I got his life down to critical and he used shift (changing his elemental weakness) and I died. im level 70+ with all characters, someone please help me!

Sorry I made a mistake the love medallion is in Archades the black medallion,which is actually the medallon of bravery takes a while to get. Beat orthros. Go to Garamsythe waterway open all the gates. Close 4 and 11. open 11 and close 3. A piece of the madallion should be next to gate 3 it is a little shiny object on the ground Dalan has given his piece to the Nu'mou already. The last piece takes some time.talk to Filo in lowtown. Go to a curios lady next to the fountain. talk to her she tells you about a necklace. talk to a bangaa merchant up some steps in Muthruu nbazaar. Go talk to an imperial in the Yugri's magicks. Say you know about a lady. Or something like that jusyt don't say you lost a necklace. go to Kytes next to the ware house in lowtown where you entre the water way. Then talk to the imperial again. go find Filo she is looking after the lady go with them to the magick shop after a load of chit chat you get another piece of the medallion. Give these to the midget in dalan's house then go to the nabreus dead lands talk to Mahkenlou at the broken bridge then go to overlooking etenityi might tell you how to get there but you should have beat Roblon or it is hard to find them. go to the shrine abd they will give you the medallions to beat the bosses in the necrohol of Nabudis. How do you get the barheim key once you've already defeated Gabranth?

U have to do the patient in the desert side quest if uve sold the great serphent skin obtained in the hunt you get it in you cannot get the key anymore because that skin was neeed for the sidequest above

Actually I'm pretty sure the great serpent skin is optional. At the end of that sidequest (patient in the desert) you get an item. If you still have the serpent skin you get some good loot but I did the quest without it (I tend to sell everything).
Well my friend the Behemoth King is found in the faywood. to get him you kust kill all enemies in the 2 zones near gigas gate so kill all zone near gigas gate then go north. kill all enemies in that zone then go down and you will see him
Behemoth king: kill all the monsters in the edge of reason in Feywood and also the area above it, then make sure there are no more respawning monsters, after that go to edge of reason and run along the snowy road until you see him, he is near gate gigas.
XTRA: after you dispose monsters in the area above edge of reason, go back again, you will find the mandragora family again, the one you battled at the sochen cave palace.

Kill all the monsters in edge of reason and the 2nd to the last zone befor gate gigas after killing all the monsters in 2 zone go to edge of reason at the end of it is the gate gigas, if your facing to the gate turn left and strait ahead. . hope it help.

What are yu supposed to do in the pharos 1st accent? And whats with the black orbs?

Answers +You need certain amount of black orbs in the 4 diffrent pedistals to get to the next flloor there in every corner and there are 3 floors

Don't worry about black orbs yet just turn on all 3 alters of night around the big geyser thing in middle
Collect the black orbs, At least 3 orbs. Then find these atars or something around the main area(circle area 4get Wat its called)then go kill a boss in the small room you were not in before. There are these rocks.find a certain one(a boss) but the ones that are not the boss will send you to the beginning of the rock area again.It soon is immuned to everything, but it doesn't last long.Be level 49-50

U level up you ensure that you have gambit for resurecting u set one player decoy and reverse you redo those speel as much as needed and u get patient cuz your not doing it udner an hour .also know that u can get out save and return at least three time I didnt tried more
Train until you at Lv 58 or above....that works fine for me!
Hell Wyrm has a massive dark damage move so make sure you equip your characters with black mask to avoid this attack. Make sure you set a gambit up for curaja so when he does invert, you can cure yourself instantly. You can also you expose to lower his defense but mainly you just hack away at the big beast until he dies. Also set a gambit to arise so that your characters will automatically heal those who die. Set your charcaters up to use a chronos tear if the status stop is applied, one of them will get a chronos tear off becore all your players are stopped. you can also you decoy and reverse, but it's not necessary on hell wyrm like it is on omega and yazmat
Keep your mp up because it takes almost 2 hours or less.The Hell Wyrm has 50 lives in total, and can be found in The Sochon Cave Palace

You can find the seer in The Pharos, go there when you finished the quest after Reddas dies, go to the elevator and press X you will see an option "Penumbra" go there then collect black orbs, don't bother killing the monsters outside the doors because they don't give you black orbs, when you fill in the right black orbs for each room, you can access the "Umbra" area, repeat these until you are at the "Subterra: Unknown"
the seer will be there.....but first you must pass through Umbra and Abbysal first before you can go to the Unknown Subterra.....
Sorry I forgot how many black orbs you will place in each room....
XTRA: I heard that you can get an Ultima Blade in the Umbra area.....
and one more thing....don't overload the pedestals taht you put black orbs into because they will eat it if you overload it, example: you can only place 6 black orbs, you put 5 black orbs at once and put another 5 in it, it will suck the black orbs that you putted in, not the black orbs you already putted in...............

45 because yaizmat is a hunt but omega isnt there is no purpose to fighting other than obtaing omega badge and having him in your bestiary

There are 45 hunts total. zodiark is NOT a hunt. omega is Not a hunt either, he is the strongest boss in the game. DO NOT try him until all characters are level 99. Yiazmat is the final mark, not available until you kill the hell wyrm.

Answers +You have to wait until there's a blizzard on the mountain and go to the Silverflow's end (the dead end path). Your mark will be waiting for you there. If your having trouble waiting for a blizzard, there's a better way to make come and stay. Start off by going to the mountain from Golmore Jungle and if a blizzard is there, go to the Silverflows End and it will be there.

If you mean fafnir then try at lvl 60 cos he is hard like hell I tried him at lvl 55 but I can't. Anyway to find him tele to bur omisace gate crystal and head down there should be a blizzard then head west to silverflows head then south to somewhere(forgot name)then head west to karydine glacier you should see a new area it's the other side of silverflow's end go there and if there is a blizzard he is there.He is huge has over a million health and will kill any1 in 1 hit if not ready.Good news that I have heard is that he/she/it won't follow you if you run and it doesn't recover health when you run(woohoo).Good luck against Fafnir
Talk to Relj (the viera) on mt. bur omisace to trigger the blizzard. Go through the paramina rift (refer map) an DO NOT ENTER THE FROZEN BROOK! this will end the blizzard and the mark will not appear. Rent a chocobo to go through the rift, and go to the entrance of the silverflow's end (dead end area) dismount chocobo and the mark will appear.

Get everyone in a space where she can not go and use blizzard contonly
Use blizzard alot it does alot of damage and have one character attack the battery minic so your lights dont turn of.
I just kept using blizzard with fran while the others were beating the crap out of it.
Keep hacking away at it and when it spawns little mimics destroy them so your energy bar doesn't reach zero. I dont know what will happen if you do but I think you will die in the dark.
Its very simple, really you need to lvl up your charaters more and use there liscen (dont know how to spell) points to spend on Quikiningins (also that lol). use them in the beginning of the fight, and also buy alot of potions if you can also use alot of blizzard spells not lighting spells.
To beat the mimic queen just have all of your characters cast blizzard repeatedly on the queen. Also make sure that you have healing gambits before attacking, because the queen can do some damage to lower level characters.
Any characters that can do magic, preferbly fran and vaan in my case, get them both to stand in the door way and cast 'slow' on it first then keep 'blizzarding' it, make sure you have ethers to put your mp back up and keep cureing your self and balthier!
You should be level 8-10 or close then make sure you have alot of potions then use blizzard. It's really easy. Just don't waste all your items on Basch waste of time he keeps dying, even though he soon is the strongest character.

Answers +Cast a bunch of positive status on your party and fight (best combo: bubble/haste). She's not that hard at all. It's better when you have a guest character with your for an extra swordarm. You can also use Oil on Carrot and then use your best spellcaster to hit her with powerful Fire spells.
I say to kill Carrot, keep attacking, then use the Mist Quickenings to finish her off. Otherwise, avoid the Bad Breath. She killed me from Disease, a nasty status ailment
Equip exculibur,zodiack spear,morning star,golden axe what ever u gor and just use physical attacks.escape if u cant kill her
Have plenty of remedies, status healing medicines, etc. And keep someone constantly using Curaja. You'll eventually kill it. (Recommended level at least 45 if not 50).
Easy. Have golden axes(buy from Dalmasca Estersand north village)the magicks curaja and arise you can both get from Balfonheim Port and it's dead. And of course the viera with you casts protect and shell.

Answers +You need Belais to open the door. First summon him then go up to the door and a exclamation mark appears push X for Belias to open the door.
Use Belias the Gigas on the door. Run down the long hall in giruvegan to the orange save crystal and use it. Then use the way stone at the opposite end of the hall. You'll see a statue that you'll have to fight before you can advance any further into giruvegan. Good Luck
When you get to the gate summon belias and open the door.You will be in girvugan. When you get in save because you fight a boss next.
You have to go look on your mini map. then, you'll see the (!). go into the, and you'll have to press X. then rotate your camera until you see a CLEAR path (not a snowy path). keep heading in that dirction until you find the next place where you press X like before. Keep doing this until you find the Gigas Gate, THEN summon Belias. Hope this Helps
I'm assuming you're talking about Giruvegan Gate? Because it is the Gate of the Gigas, you will need to make sure that one of your characters has the license to summon the Belias Esper. The character that you choose is the one you want to make sure you are in control of when you touch the gate - but before you touch the gate, you have to have the character summon Belias in order for the Gate to open.
At the third hidden area(after the boss in the feywood)In the feywood,the last 2 areas have these weird shrines. Go to them all and touch them. Then at the end you come to the door Gate Gigas. Then summon Belias right away and save inside Givegan, because there is a boss when you touch the waystone ahead.Be at least level 44 to kill it, lvl. 47 will kill in in less than 30 seconds

Go to the statue u activated and lost and ablility( tecnic, mele,mage,or map , and deactivate it then u can go and use the elevator
You need to use the Way Stone to go up higher, it should be right near the elevator

Actually, I also got the diamond armlets off a mum bomb in the great crysatl at Giruvegan.(the place where the scorpio switch is. But I had monographs) Unfortunatley I died higher up in the crystal so I lost them. But I was only lv 45 when I tried to find Ultima -Answer by:FFobssesive
I got it at tchita uplands, a was lucky. theres only a 10% chance for the treasure chest to turn up. (dimond armlet)
Its a drop from mom bomb in the great crystal and if you kill 20 rare monsters for the armour guy in phon coast you get it

How do I get into the part of the henne Mines where treasure chest #22 is so I can get the Ensanguined Shield?

Answers +Getting the Ensanguined Shield takes time....there are two easier ways to get that shield....(I had 2)
1] Equip diamond armlet. Go to the Port Villa at the right side in Balfonheim and open the chest you see there.
WARNING: Save before you open the chest because it will NOT respawn anymore...
2] Equip diamond armlet. Go to the Edge of Reason at Feywood. Near Gate Gigas there should be a treasure with a trap on it, so dont forget to float. After opening it, you can either get a Deathbringer (Attk 90 On Hit: KO) or you'll get the shield. Either way ONLY with the diamond armlet.

Heyhey--somethimes the Ensanguined Shield isnt so great, it may have 90 defend but it has poision, slow and sap equiped on it and you cant sell it for money :(
The Ensanguined Shield is great if you use it with the stamp technique, that way you don't get hit by any attacks and are able to give the opponent some nasties, I don't recommend fighting the whole battle with the shield equipped thou, chances are it's going to kill you before the opponent does. ^^
If you are gonna use the shield the best Item to use it with is the ribbon since it nulifies all the nasty things that the shield has, maiking it he best shield in the game ! )

No it's after the Pharos then port to the Salkiwood and go to the Nechrol of Nabius and the first room coming from the Salkiwood is where a hidden merchant is,in a room at the top that has another room off the map and then wander around there until you find ?. press X and a merchant is there.

The Ring wyrm can be found in the windtrace dunes of the dalmasca westersand, one zone east of the westersand gare crystal. I believe it's on the east side of that zone

For the first part, the first room has a switch you touch.then once you got it go south to the door the switch just opened.then beside the injured imperial there is a switch. press it and jellies come from the ceiling. however they do not have to be killed. go to the door you just opened which was 2 of them, and get the map. then go back to the second room.touch the switch again and you still do not have to kill the remaining jellies in there.go left and follow the map into phase 1 dig,go through it untill in one area where those dino things are,where there are gates.then find the pithead juntion b(or something with b in it cant remember)and touch that switch inside, but again you dont have to kill the jellies, and besides they are stronger now. just go to the other room above pithead juntion b(or something) and go to the top where a video will show up. you will see mjrn freak out at ashe"stay away,powerless hume".save the game because there is a boss inside,anout level 25-28.kill it and video shows up, you end up back at the viera village, with of course a bunch of vids,then congrats,go to the barrier where you couldn't pass, you are allowed to now.go through that until you find the save cyrstal in the jungle, and watch out,there is the elder wyrm inside.

After you beat the pharos you can use the elevator to go down to penumbra, umbraa, and abyssal. The seer is in abyssal. It is a pain to get to. Good luck!
First,go ot the pharos(first ascent) at the 1 floor.you'll find the elevator(around the gate crystal).take it to the Penumbra zone.You must have a lot of black orb to meet the seer.At the penumbra zone,you'll find 4 ancient doors.Each door requires a black orb to light the path.when you set a black orb correctly to 4 ancient doors.you'll be able to go to the umbra zone(by the same elevator you use).

The Seer is in the Pharos' lower levels. Teleport to the Pharos and go to the first level elevator lift. In the first level down "Penumbra", you must collect dark orbs from defeating foes in the rooms. Don't bother with the foes in the ring because they don't give you orbs. Now place the orbs in the pedistals in the four rooms. each room requires a certain amount. Once every room has the proper amount then the next floor opens up from the elevator( Note: don't use too many orbs or it will cancel out)... then the next (do the same as in the 1st floor... then the next.
In the penumbra you must defeat Pheonix in a hidden room before you can fight the Seer. When you clear all three floors with black orbs and the pheonix is defeated an unknown floor will open up. The seer is waiting for you there.

After defeating it, head back to the triangular room. You'll see a pedestal in the corner and it will ask for black orbs. There's one in each corner room. Go fight monsters and collect the orbs. insert them into the pdestals until the pedestal emits a large light orb. Once all four rooms are lit, the elevator will let you descend one more level. Do this on three floors, and you'll find the seer. Also: Ixion appears randomly in the Penumbra once you activate the hunt.

Yes telekinesis is a technique, but it is one of the more/most advanced ones, so you can not get it until you are at least past the phon coast. but when you have bought the ability then you can find this particular one at the very bottom right corner of the upper liscense board. in the mean time I would suggest the ability achilles so buy it as soon as you can and the liscense is one up and one to the left from telekinesis but you will also need somebody with a few different magic abilities. and a person with a bow or gun could only help. and if you are low on MP then horology and traveler are also good techniques that can hit flying foes
You have to buy it from a store. (the only one I know of is the secret shop in the Necrohal of Nabudis, which is near Salkiawoods.)
Theres a hidden baknamy merchant in the necrohol of babudis, hall of effulgent light. hes at the north end in the room that doesnt show up on your map. check the southeastern corner of the room.
There is a hidden merchant in the Necrohol of Nabudis that sells telekinisis and some good armor.
You can use spells, aero and aeroga work well. Equiping your party with spears and/or bows/crossbows also works well. The best thing to use however is the Nihopalaoa which you obtain from the clan merchant in Muthru Bazaar. It's 30,000 gil but worth the money. It reverses the effects of curative items such as potions, remedies, and Phoenix Down. If you equip it on one of your characters you can choose item, select phoenix down, hit your R1 button to access the monster you want to kill and it works instantly on almost every flying and/or non-flying creature you encounter. Exceptions include bosses, marks, and espers but you can help the battle with these foes by using remedies on them which sets up multiple status effects depending on how many you have augmented in your license grid. If you have licenses your remedies to include all of the status effects, these are passed on as negative effects with the Nihopalaoa equiped.
Secret merchant in Necrohol....phooey!!! I found his sorry keister and all he had to offer was ethers. No armor, no telekenesis, no scathe, nothing but ethers. Very disappointing. The game would not let me rough him up any.

There is a hidden alcove in the corner of a room in the hall of effulgent light in the Necrohol of Nabudis (which can be found on the most northeastern part of the salikawoods). Walk towards the wall and it leads you to a hidden area where a little merchant comes out. He has some good stuff and telekenisis is one. Although telekenisis is helpful, it doesn't do that much damage. Try and get some strong spells like flare or scathe. Petrify and warp is also some good magicks to use on flying monsters, although warp doesn't give you exp. and petrify takes a while for them to actually turn to stone but you get exp from that. Best advice is to get a really strong ranged weapon and a really strong mage to take them out. -Answer by:trunks226

Answers +There are three statues on the bottom floor at the stilshrine. You can only see 2 at the start (the one on the left, and the other at the bottom). You must kill a boss to get access to the statue on the right. Anyways, you must rotate all three of the statues, so that they are facing the ax monolith in the middle. In otherwords, turn the statue on the left so it is facing East, turn the statue on the right so it is facing West, and the statue at the bottom to be facing North. WHen you do that, the eyes light up in the ax monolith statue, and he lifts it up for you to pass through it.

Im trying to hunt the trickster and the moogle told me he was in the frozen brook....but i keep going in and out of it and he doesn't appear...any tips on how to make him come out?

Answers +Exit and reenter until the clan member who joins you tells you that the trickster is around. It may take a couple of times, but he'll show up.
Yeah, I had that problem too. Just move in and out in the map (Frozen B'something). The clan member who is there will tell you when Trickster's out.
All the characters you have that your using at that hunt must be level 40+
The trixter is viscious! I beat it at an average level of 30, but I suggest having an average level of at least 40. Any hoo, when you enter the rift, you'll see a lizard guy. He'll either say whether he has or hasn't seen the trixter. If he has, then stay within the borders of that area and it will eventually appear. If he hasn't, then exit and re-enter that area until he says it's out.
Hes there You will See Monid waiting for you go to the very middle of the frozen river you will see a invisible huge chocobo running back and forth stay still and let it run then monid will start to attack it and it will become visible and you can fight it. its pretty tough it runs back and forth i suggest a higher level maybe about 40 or higher.
Just go in and out until Monid tells you he's out, and then you'll find him. If when you enter he doesn't say anything, then just exit again. When he's out you'll get that small conversation scene as soon as you enter.
Its just rare, keep trying... he usually spawns right in the middle of the Brooke.
Make sure and talk to the Bangaa in the clan hall he iid supposed to help you fight it. Once you talk to him you have to check by the frozen brook a couple of times and he may appear.
How I did it was you just defect all the monters there a few times then,go to the save place then go back to the Frozen Brook.Then the guy who is on the same mission as you should say the Trickster is out.Now you should walk around until you find a huge white Chocbo(sp?).Oh you should be at least Lvl. 40 before a fight him.
You have to take a chocobo thier and he will apear right when you enter best place to get the chocobo is grom the mountian place
Keep going in and out of that area. You will see that other hunter guy come up to you and tell you when Trickster is out.
All you have to do is keep killing all the monsters and then leave and come back a couple of times. I thought this was one of the easier hunts. All I did was use quickenings and kept hitting him. It took about a minute or two and the average level of my characters was 32.
Use 10+ hit mist combos...as in more than 1. Do this and they should fall. Also try to be at least level 30 by the time you take on the first wall seeing as how you can't halt its progress and you have less time to beat it.
All you can do is spam mist combos and then attack like nobody's buisness. There is no special "way" to beat them. Also, you can run from the first one ;P
Level 18-22. Mist combos 8-10 times. Try to have all party members at max mp before entering the battle. If you do not take him out with the first volly of quickings, switch your party members out with the ones who still have max mp and unleash another volly to polish it off. After taking the first wall out you will find a switch leading to a nice treasure. Its worth the time to go after it due to the fact that it is a very nice weapon this early in to the game by.

I was in betweenLv.18-lv.20 when I killed the one after you open the door after the first raithwall.All you need to do is first have the best wepons you can have for your guys[girls]and as soon as you can run at it and prees the flame farths away for you on the left and when this !! apears prees x and it should slow it down then some revives and some good attacks should kill it slowly but shur take a why ale
I had to use all of my characters' mist charges. I had 2 sets of 11 hit chains. Then I wailed on it for dear life. I barely beat it (The 1st wall). The 2nd I stopped it at the fires and used Quickenings too. It wouldn't hurt to spend a good deal of time leveling up before attempting that tomb anways.
Run to the door of the first one and on the second one have your guys at a high level with handaxes (attack power 47) or the iron hammer (attack power 51) and its hella easy. get the weapons at the guy with the chocobas at the bottom of the steps of raithwallstomb. :)
Use the hammer technique. U'll defeat the two walls that way.
It is too easy to defeat the first Demon Wall I remember that my 3 character Lv25 and used quickenings and do 15 hit chain then used normal attack to kill him, and the second one also like that I back to save point restore Mp then back to to deafed him.
The only way I did it was I use mist abilitys and then I killed them with no problem but I was at a hight level so I don't know about you.
I killed it when my ppl was lvl 10. I had ancient sword equiped that you get outside the tomb from the merchant.

Rabanastre in the muthru bazaar after you complete a certain amount of story line and inside one of the airships while traveling through the aerodomes.
After you become a ward of justice for a clan ranking, then go to the muthruu bazaar in rabanastre and buy it from the clan proviser
You can get it if you're in Centurio. you get bubble if youre a ward of a something in the muthru bazaar in rabanastre.
You can obtain the bubble magick by riding an airship via leisure from rabanastre to anywhere and talk to the shop clerk she has it for sell you may also buy a bubble belt in the muthru bazaar in rabanastre but only after completing a certain amount of hunts so just check back after completing some hunts there are some interesting things in there
The clan store, you have to have a certain amount of clan points and have to have beaten 12 or maybe 14 hunts to buy it. if you have no idea what i'm talking about when I say clan store, you probably didn't go back to tomaj after you beat the tomato. do that and he'll tell you to talk to a bangaa in the north side. blah blah blah talk to montblanc inside and then he'll tell you what the clan store is

I read below that the hidden baknamy merchant sells the telekinesis technique and armor, but every time I see him, all he has to sell are ethers for 220 gil ea. Is there something I'm missing?

Answers +You have to complete a certain amount of story line or be at a certain level, maybe both:) He used to only sell me ethers but now I can buy telekinesis technique, scathe magic, magepower shishak, maximillian armor, demon shield, and ring of renewal. It didn't happen until after either I went to the pharos and did the sun cryst quest or after giruvegan. So, I assume it was my increased level or advancement of plot that did the trick.
Make sure you arrow across. Merchants only show what they are selling of certain types of goods. The Bakmany is showing he only sells ethers of the "Item" type goods. There should be extra squares along the top of the screen, indicating "Technique" goods and "Magic".
I'm having the same problem. I think it may have something to do with levels and how far along in the story line we are. I'm at Balfonheim with an avg. level of 48 and am a paragon of Justice. I can't find hastega in southbank, and I also got screwed in Balfonheim and could only acquire the (-aga) black magicks and curaja and sleepga. I really would like to get holy, protectga, shellga, scathe, ardor, scourge, shock. Few others, but when I go to the appropriate merchants, they never have them. I've wasted so much time scrounging around to find them. Who can help?
The Items this merchant sells are unlocked as you get further in the game. It should be there around the time you beat the Pharos or something
It depends on when in the storyline u go to him. If u go b4 u reach the place called Giruvegan, he'll only sell ethers, go after Giruvegan and he'll sell Magepower Shishak[15000 gil], Ring of Renewal[18000 gil], Demon Shield[17000 gil] & Telekinesis[7100 gil]. Go again after u pass a place called Pharos at Ridorana and he'll sell all of the above including a move called Scathe/Collapse[18100 gil].
Yeppers.you must be before giruvegan. For all items he sells you must be past the Pharos.

Some of the characters MIST attacks are hard to find on the license panels....any tips on how to find them with minimal points lost?

Select usually the ones near the corners but dont upgrade yet! Where it says Black mag, technique, ect. the one that says Quickning is the one you should make your way to. Once you get there its still going to cost near 50 pts
For Starters you should be able to scroll around and see the words quickening written on the panel, second it doesn't matter which one you buy because if will give you the same abiltiy no matter where you obtain the quickening
Click around, just move the cursor, it says what Type of thing youll be spending on. Either it be augmentation, teckniks, magick, etc. you dont have to spend points to see where the quickenings are. just move the cursor over the squares untill u find a box that says Quickening.
No single character has a set MIST attack on the panel. All the mist charges are on there but after you get one with a character it disapears from all the other characters panels. So you get to choose what path you want with each character. you usually want to get the mist charges in the magic side with your casters and so on and to save points try to go for mist charges that are near eachother with a certain character and dont worry so much about lower lv characters because if you dont keep their lvs up with the rest of your team then their mist attacks wont hurt something that is to many lvs above them
Quickenings are mostly found in the corners or ends of the license board.
Look at your licence Board. Go to te ones you have bought yet. Somewhere you can find Quickening with a red Dot.

Ok, so I am at the part where you have to go and fight the big flaming horse thing, how do you get it to die? I keep trying and trying but it wont die...i have vaan, balthier,fran and the other girl, I dont no her name though, she is a guest..how do I get the flaming horse to die?

Answers +This battle can be very easy or very hard. It is all up to you. What I did to win this battle was control a ranged fighter - either Fran or Balthier. I let Vaan and Ashe just attack like crazy while I stayed back and attacked from a distance. I wound up healing Ashe and Vaan with Fran for most of the fight while Balthier never even received damage as he was using his gun from long range and quicky using potions on any party members that were below 70% HP. After a few minutes, the battle was over.
Use good Gambits, like, heal at 70% for all characters except Balthier, so Fran and Vaan, then equip Balthier with the Goddesses Magicite, you should be able to kill it that way, and dont forget to use potions!
First time I played I found the Firemane quite a challenge too but not as much as not being able to defeat it. I'd say your level is not high enough yet. You should also kollekt enough LP to have at least one charakter learn a quickening. Ideally, try to have all aktive party members learn a quickening. If you are patient enough you kould as well get one of them learn a second one.

You have to level up until lvl 10. The best place is the Giza plains where the werewolfs are. Use quickening on them and if one dies you'll get 1206EXP. Until Level 8 you only have to kill one werewolf. the higher you get the more werewolfs you have to kill. For level 9 kill 2 werewolfs etc. Then you'll beat the horse in a snap. -Answer by:Rain17

Answers +You need to talk to the young boy with his mum and dad at each of the aerodromes, he'll be labled 'traveller' until he say's he's just seen it, then board an airship and the captain will say they have been attacked, you can then go fight it.
Travel on your airship "strahl" to bhujerba first then try to go on a ship and go to any place.
To get the mark to appear you must first accept the bill from the traveler. I noticed it first appeared after defeating the ridorana cateract. (I am not sure if it appear before). Once you have accepted the bill, talk to the traveler in the aerodome to see if the monster is near. I talked to him, then flew from Rabenastre to Bujerba and it attacked my ship. I think this is random though, so keep trying!

Take an airship.....then get off....now look around the aerodome and you will find the same boy. talk to him again. Keep doing all this over and over again. make sure you take ANOTHER LEISURE CRAFT.....eventually, right at the beginning when you take the airship, instead of the chief steward welcoming the people, she will say that deathgaze is on board. deathgaze is outside the airship. After going outside, take the stairs outside, deathgaze will be there.....here's a trick.....sometimes, when you reverse bosses or elite hunts and you use renew on them, they will become immune to it BUT NOT DEATHGAZE! HAHA! He died right away after I reversed him and renewed him......he might have a chance of having 1 HP left and at the beginning of the battle, he is immune to physical attacks so use magic that'll hurt him....

Easy just get on a airship and fly to cities over and over until the boy says "he was really close." then save. when u r on the airship u will no the deathgaze is on cause everyone panic's. just buff up ur characters and get ready. if u want it easy, fight it at lvl 65 or aaround there. I was lvl 64. o have bubble on u it helps
You get it when you go into frans village, automatically after you talk to the leader there. it will allow you to get past the barriers in the golmore jungle

You kan obtain the Lente's Tear from the Viera people in Eruyt Village. You must first go to the Village. After the scene with Fran you must go to the Henne Mines. You kan only access the Mines riding a Chocobo. Inside the mines you will fight en entity saving a young Viera. Go back to Eruyt. You will be rewarded the Lente's Tear.
