Are you talking bout the first time you meet him or the 2nd time? if its the first time just fight like hell and also level up before you fight him, at least level 45....if you talking bout the 2nd time you meet him then you must take care you his esper first "Famfit" then doc cid should be easy...when you kill him the 2nd time his esper will become yours!
Take out the Reeves first. And don't use magic on them. Gotta do it the goold old fashioned way. After the reeves are dead (This can take a bit of time) then focus on doctor sid.... Be sure to keep your hp above 1000...His special attack can do 1000+ damage. But beyond that, he's fairly weak...The reeves are the trouble
Just Focus on Famfrit because he's making the most damage on your characters. Beat him, then there's nothing standing in your way to beat Dr. Cid. -Answer by:Rain17

HelpfulTouch the way stone !.you need to be at a high level to beat the demon wall though, about 45.
You have to equip the one who has the dawn shard, then they have to touch the way stone.

Dude I just use rank 3 mist on him ijust try to do 10 chians of qiuckineis on the first one it only did half a life and I just use my otehr charatcer with full mp to kill it to death after that go back and heal on the stone and kill the 2 demon wall with 11 chians of qiuckines
Touch the waystone... also, I was only level 19 when I beat the first demon wall. I used to rank 3 quickening chains with about 10 attacks per chain.

im in the part where I will get a sword in the STILSHRINE OF MIRIAM... I was wondering... how can I get pass the shrine if there are two locked doors and one teleportation that doesnt work?

Answers +You have to equip your leader with the Dawn Shard
The one teleport gate/stone near the front of the shrine, where when you step on it, zombies come out of the ground is the solution to your problem. You must equip the dawnshard on your party leader, and THEN step onto the platform to open the way to the rest of the Stilshrine.

Put Ashe in your party and equip her with the Dawn Shard. Then try the device on the platform in the area in front of the large statue in the Ward of Measure section of the building. Ashe has to be equiped with the Dawn Shard to access the Way Stone as well.
Put ashe in leader equip her with the dawn shard go to the pedestal (the one that makes zombies pop up out of nowhere)and touch it choose sentence 2 and then go through the whole dungeon thing.WARNING!There is noway too turn back(unless u die)and the enemies are like lvl.30-45 probably so bring high lvl.characters,strong wepons and alot of phoenix downs and hi-potoins

Answers +This is the Omega mark. It is dormant until you defeat both Yizimat and Hell Wyrm.
That's the Omega Mark XII. It is a big scary monster with ten million hp and it will kick your butt.
It's Omega, he's not that hard just annoying. You have to defeat Hell Wyrm and then accept the Yazmat contract for him to become activated. If you read the logs in your beastry, it will tell you in one of them that omega was built by a scientist in the yensa sandsea to defeat yazmat which is why you have to accept the contract for it to awake.

Answers +Ixion is in penumbra. after defeating the pharos use the elevator to go to penumbra. If there are no monsters Ixion is there. If there are monsters leave and come back.
The seer is in abyssal. You must beat penumbra and umbra to get to abyssal at the bottom of the pharos. use the elevator to get there after completing both penumbra and umbra.

Ixion can b found on the 3 lowest lvls of the Pharos

In the Pharos is where Ixion and the Seer are, Ixion's on the circular part of Umbra or Penumbra, try to get it on Penumbra by going up and down the elevator until there's no monsters, then wait 30 seconds and Ixion will appear, The Seer is on the bottom of the Subterra in an "Unknown" floor, you need to light up all the orb pedistals to get it though on every floor until they're full
Ixion: In Pharos at Ridorana in the Penumbra (you NEED to finish the story past Pharos in order to gain access to Penumbra) When you teleport to Pharos, you will want to go to the elevator and then take it down. You will also want to use float since there are "swarm" traps which, when triggered, cause a HUGE swarm of monsters to attack at once. (all high level monsters)
Seer: Pharos at Ridorana, Penumbra in a location called "Unknown". Please note that Shadowseer has the ability to summon the bosses you've previously defeated. He attacks you while the boss attacks too. Make sure you're a high level for this.
Yiazmat: has about 50 MILLION HP (completely serious) so make sure that you are a really high level (I recommend 90+) and this battle takes a long long long time (the shortest time that I've seen is 2 hours) He is found also at Ridorana Cataract inside the collliseum. The hunt will only appear once you have defeated all (or all but one) of the previous marks, AND you've defeated Hell Wyrm.
Doom Dragon, I'm assuming is the same as Hell Wyrm? If it is, then you can find Hell Wyrm after defeating Vyrral. Vyrral drops a dragon scale, which the Viera guest gives to you. Once you have this, you can go to the NorthEastern most portion of Cerrobi Steppe and find Windmill #10. You will get a short scene with the Wyrm Philosopher, who has been hindering the poor moogle's progress with windmill repairs, who gives you the Ageworn Key in exchange for giving him the dragon scale you hold. Turns out that he was doing research on the wyrm but fell asleep - and while he was asleep, you slayed the wyrm! Once you have the key, you can access the Hall of the Wroth God. In order to gain access though, you will need to enter through the Ascetic Door. If you haven't already done this part, you will want to go to "Destiny's March" and run a full circle from SE, SW, NW, NE, you should see a message that you hear a door opening. If you go towards the west, you'll find a secret area that you haven't explored yet. Follow the path around (watch out for the traps - there are a lot) and you'll see a door at the end. Use the Ageworn Key to access the area and be prepared for a LONG fight (not as long as Yiazmat though XD) Boss has about 8,500,000HP. But you CAN take a breather from this fight and when you choose to come back to this boss, you will find that he has NOT regained HP. You pick up where you left off :)

the clan shop is open after you join clan centurio. if you didn't go back to tomaj after beating the first mark you do then you havn't joined clan centurio. just talk to tomaj and he tells you to show the clan primer to a bangaa in the north side. do this and your in the clan centurio clan hall. talk to montblanc, then talk to him again then your officially in the clan, the clan shop is in the muthru bazaar

AnIt's in Muthru Bazaar after you join the clan, it's always open, and the stuff you get becomes much better as you gain levels.

It doesn't drift back to the south shore unless you're in the right time of the storyline. After the King Raithwall's Tomb quest [where you got the esper Belias] the ferry drifts back to the south shore without a pilot. You can go talk to the boy on the jetty, who will take you to north shore, and another side quest begins. -Answer by:SkyeWinters
An easy way to get the ferry back is to finish the flowering cactoid hunt and then come back when you are around level 20
Finish the Flowering cactoid hunt, then do to the estersand's village and you will see a cutscene, next go to the north village and you will talk to somebody about a cactoid herd finding a cactoid named "Dran", when you go back to the south village, go to the back of the house of dantro's wife , you should see a message like this, "Dran?" press the talk button and a flowering cactoid will jump out on the sand, go with dran in the north village and then you're finished!!! you can now go to the north village.......(when you finished this side quest you will obtain items)

Anyone know the easiest way to kill Exodus in the Mosphoran Highwaste? The basturd kills me too much with that Scathe spell and I can't get any good hits on him when he's almost dead.

Answers +Get your party to lv 40-45.Note: I barely beat him. After Exodus attacks he pauses for a moment. At this time run far from him and use haste so that you can cura and raise faster. Make sure you have someone with range waepons so that one of your Characters survive his special attack.
When he puts up the barrier where he cant take damage just wait it out and survive until the barrier is gone the continue the attack. You can also power up your party with haste protect etc... before you enter and fight him Note make sure you set your gambits so the you may have an advantage.

Get to the 40-45lv.Or if u havent so high lv, try to use quickening.U need 3 combos with 10 or more hits.U can put in party 3 ch.then use a quick. then change one of the 3 ch., put another ch with full magic,use a quick....
I suggest you augument your characters before your fight with Exodus, and I recommend you be at least level 40 - 45. Cast Regen, Protect, Shell, Haste, Bubble, Bravery and Faith. Faith, Regen and Shell wouldn't be really necessary, but Protect, Haste, Bubble and Bravery will come in handy since the scenario would be more melee rather than magic. And Haste would be useful since the time lags during the fight and Protect and Bubble would save your life from that Flare attack he has. I also suggest you have at least one member who is equipped with a weapon that's strong enough and can strike more than once. And a bubble belt will do. Now, right when you fight, send your most powerful characters in while you cast Dispel to get rid of his Reflect status. Since you'd be augumented with Protect and Bubble, each time a character gets hit by a Flare, cast Curaga / Curaja. When Exodus is about to die, he would be immune to physical and magick attacks. Try to stay alive and keep your second team ready. If you've managed to stick around long enough, and his barrier goes down, attack him with all you got. A mist combo would do if you have enough mp. But if your first time goes down, then just bring in your second and unleash full force.
I also recommend you use these Gambits:
Ally: any - Raise / Arise.
Ally 50% HP - Cura / Curaga / Curaja.
Foe: status Reflect - Dispel.
Items can't be used so don't bother putting Phoenix Down in the Gambit selection.

Get to level 50 at least for an easier fight. The worst thing about this fight is that Item use is prohibited, so Haste + a powerful spellcaster + powerful healing magic (Curaga/Curaja) is a must. I had to use two teams fighting him; one main attack team and the other to cure/raise the dead members of the main attack team. Since Exodus's Scathe could only be targetted at one party member, you can just replace the fallen attacker with someone of the second party, then have him/her use Rise/Arise on that one dead ally. After your dead ally has risen back from the dead, put him/her back in the attack party and replace his/her curer. Rinse and repeat for the other fallen party members. Quickly use quickenings on him once his HP is low -- you wouldn't want him to activate a paling and become immune to physical attacks.
Go in with haste, shell, protect, and bubble on every character. hopefully you are a higher level (40+) so scathe won't kill you in one shot.
The best thing to do when any esper is immune to something, is to attack with something it isn't immune to or to just sit back and heal. You could also alternate between massive healing and attacking with something that works. For example, when the Zalera Esper is being a little sissy and shields itself from attacks, you can still use guns to hit it while your other characters can heal and cast support magicks.
To be honest, keep attacking till his health is low. To deal with Scathe, all you have to do is have everyone run away, or just at least one person so you don't lose the whole party. Keep attacking him, sooner or later the Paling will come up. Kill him with magick (dispel the reflect before you start casting your magick), or you can wait till the Paling is down. I really say when he is about to pull off Flare or Scathe, have a Raise ready on the target, and by the end, you'll be safe. :D Good luck with the fight!

It's very tricky to explain in words and is best done with pictures. you have to make the waterfalls in the area change paths. start in the falls of time area at the far east entrance go south and enter the mirror of the soul area. Here, run all the way west to the first entrance and go back into the falls of time area and go north through the first entrance and then east to the fourth exit and use it to re-enter the area you just exited and go south and exit through the next to last entrance to the east. You'll be all the way back into the area you started from, go west past the door in the center and take the next entrance north, then take the second entrance from the left, follow the u-turn and go south through the next exit and that will open the pilgrims door. (Check your maps to see which exit is which) told you it was hard to explain in words. You can find maps of what I just explained. Hope this helps somewhat! Good Luck

In the beginning of the story, after you finish the hunt for the rough tomato, Tomaj will give you the Clan Primer, go to the upper part of Rabanastre (check the map) if check the map, you will see a an icon that looks like a resindent house icon, go there and there will be two bangaa guards that guards the door, talk to the red bangaa and then he will say that , you have a clan primer, go inside and talk to Montblanc the head of the clan, then he will say that you are accepted to join the clan, then he will say the name of the clan, (CLAN CENTURIO)...........

First, beat the rogue tomato for Tomaj. He gives you the clan primer. When you get it, make your way up to the northern part of rabarnastre. search around there until you find 2 guys infront of a door. Talk to the one you can talk to and then go in.
Go to the phon cost. there is a club(i think in the middle).
talk to the hunt master. you have to pass a test.
go to the vadda strand. stand on the cliff on the east and wait until the turtle appears. kill him and go back.

I'm assuming that you're referring to Leviathon? If so, you will only be able to go back one more time (but you will not have the opportunity to explore and to get maps - so make sure you get all maps before progressing, so that you can get Dalan for the Sky Pirate's Den) -Answer by:Koishii
No so make your time here worthwhile. level up to about 14 before getting to this leveland collect every urn you find their are 12 in total in this level
Let Vossler and Vaan do all the attacking and you sit back and keep them healed. Use potions instead of spells for healing as potions are faster to use. Most important: Do not allow your characters to remain in OIL status! This will cause massive damage from Belias' fire spells. If you find yourself badly hurt after he casts Firaga, use Cura to heal everyone. He should be a pushover if you are level 18 - 20.
Belias isn't that hard to defeat. Just have your aktive party members have at least 2 quickenings each and use it when it is 50% damaged. Have the highest possible quickening chain and it just might kill it... If you are at a decent level of kourse.
Gil is pretty easy to kollect anywhere from early in the game as later on. All you need is find any monster dropping valuable loot and just keep chaining this type of monster.

Beat Belias by brute force. He attacks very slowly, so you can most likely get quite a few really good and powerful whacks in before he attacks. If you need to, however, do a quickening chain if you have it. Getting lots of gil... you can steal off of monsters besides just what they drop - make sure that you sell it so that you can get gil for it. Later in the game.... the loot that the creatures drop is VERY good and sells for high amounts of gil. Don't forget about going on hunts - a lot of the time, part of the reward is gil - later in the game there is a rare reward that is 500,000 gil. :) -Answer by:Koishii

Well about your gil problem I have a very food solution!!!early in the game in the lhusu mines there is a bridge where only skeletons appear who have 800 hp each. keep killin them to get really good loot like a bone fragment which sells for bout 200 gil each I sold like 50 at one time and I got all the stuff I needed

Complete the antlion hunt: (rank of riskbreaker needed, from montblanc) and it will be in a chest in the cave where you kill it. this is in the lhusu mines, and if it doesn't appear at first keep re-entering the area for it to spawn.

There is am monster in Giza - The Rains that wil drop it sometimes, I don't know which, but it's either Hyenas or Gigantoads.

Answers +If you are not at level 32 or higher don't try it. A secret summon is in there. Even if you hit the save point you will have to dispell then quicken the hell out of him cause of the zombies that come from out of the gound. They do more damage the he does. If you truly want to try it take right turn tell you reech him. Sorry at work tomorrow I will give you exact details of the map..

Hi the way I have done is betwwen level 30-35 attack them normally but make sure you have regen as you will get killed
I know that place, I assume it is zertinan caverns, if there, here is a tip, they are weak to aero attacks, use aerora or aeroga to deal heavy damage to them, in zertinan caverns there is an esper named Adrammelech, The Wroth you must be at a level of 35 to 40, fight him and try your luck, I beated him in level 29 all characters.

The dinosaur in Dalmasca Westersand is like another boss. Talk to Monlblanc at the clan for a reward. Yeah it's worth it .... because it's easy ... just follow the instructions they give you. .... The Garamsythe Waterway thing however ... refers to a piece of a medallion. I never found an item ... but I did find an ESPER! Again just follow the directions, (check your map and make sure you account for the sluice gates) and you should find two more switches deep in the waterway. Open the east and southeast sluices first, and I believe it's the fourth zone down. Again, just follow the directions.
I beat the dinosaur and no its not worth it in my opinion. he ws incredibly easy and you get nothing from him or the side quest, just the little part of the desert that once had a sandstorm is gone and now eastersand and westersand is connected... whoo hoo...

Yes, sidequests are worth it. They reward you with extra EXP/LP/Gil/inventories, such as rare equipments and loot. The latter are valuable for making high-grade equipments at the Bazaar. You may still find these rare loot from enemies, but it'll take more time.
The Earth Tyrant.... Is so easy. The Dinosaur in the Westersand is an optional boss named Earth Tyrant, and he is worth the fight. He won't drop anything but you can steal from him, you get the Tyrant Hide and the Tyrant Bone. Plus your reward from Montblanc in the Clan Hall, which is 1200 gil, not much I know but gil is gil. And since the Tyrant Bone sells for 1233 gil, and the Tyrant Hide for 549 gil you can make a good bit of money off this optional boss..... Oh! And also, after you beat the Earth Tyrant, go to the Phon Coast to find that Archadian Bangaa, Monid I believe was his name, and see just how greedy bangaa are....

You know when you try to go up and the guards want let you, you know the Seeq that said to himself "why is he trying to go up the stairs" talk to him.
When you try to get upstairs the guard wont let you, and then a guy says "why is he trying to get upstairs" or something along those lines. talk to that and he will help you get upstairs
Kill the soldiers first then just keep attacking. Ideal level should be 16 & up.
Takes out the soldiers around him first. It centralizes your attack strategy quickly. Then focus on him. Watch your health, he gets a little angry as his life is chipped low.
You should have a party of around 15 or you'll get blown away the minute you try to fight him, so if you aren't a high enough level then you should go out into the halls after rescuing Ashe and getting a long chain of Imperials. A chain of 100 gets you about 1-2 levels. If you get too low in helath while doing this then you can just run back to the save point where you saved the Princess. Well have fun.
Teach ashe vaan and penlo quickenings teach penlo 2 quickenings ahe and vaan 1 and you should be in good shape
If your kill enough of the foot soldiers during the alarm bit you should have picked up a warp note from a guard if you use that straight away it teleports all the normal soldiers out just leaving the judge, make sure that there all soldiers are in range, from then on just keep attacking ghis and set gambits to cure at 50% on all characters

This is wat I did I used all of my quickinings all at once and she died right then and ther.
I used quickening combo and he/she died o the spot.
First Get atleast 3 people or more with all 3 quickenings and use thouse of the bigging if you chain them right you should kill him in or get him down to 3/4 of his health all so being level 16 or higher helps to . (exuse my spelling srry )
Use a mist combo and it will die almost instantly.
Get 1 person with a lvl 3 mist and 2 with lvl 2 mist and get a 15 chain hit to kill her.
My way is to lv up 3 character to 25 lv and use quickenings to lowing her Hp then use normal attack to deafed him. Also get blood sword to one of your character.

You can't find the medallion of love inside Nabudis. You can use it in Nabudis, but you find it in the Nabreus Deadlands after completing a few sidequests first. You use the medallion of love on the door of loathing in the center of the hall of the ivory covenant. It is closest to the necrohol entrance from the deadlands.
In achades there is a couple sitting by the brirge in lower achades. talk to them after you have done everything you need to do there and they will give it up. something about they are going to get married or something.
You do not find it in nabudis. first you must go to archades magick shop then talk to one of the disciples of that dude with the long name(Ma'kenrou...i think that's how you spell it). then he will tell you he sold the medallion to someone. talk to the people near the entrace of the shop and they will be talking about a guy who ran off to marry someone in old archades. go to old archades and find a blond hair guy sitting near a lady. talk to him hell give you the medallion. so you go back to the magicks shop and give it back to the disciple and there you go Medallion Of Love. enjoy =D

Oh yes, I 4got but I think you cant fish yet without doing the patient in the desert sidequest. This is the sidequest where you get the barheim key and get back in. No, if the guy who wants to fish is back in the village at the south of the nebra,(in the estersand) then teleport to Balfonheim. Go to the area next to the aerodrome. A guy will be fishing. If he asks what you are doing then say you want his rod walk u to the aerodrome don't go into it. Go back to where the man was his rod will be leaning against a wall. Give it to the guy in the estersand to start the fishing game. I wanted to do this but it is actually really crap and you dont get that much money. Answers +Equip your party with phoenix netsukes and have plenty of phoenix downs and high potions or X potions if you have them. Equip your best melee fighters with swords and shields. Make sure you continuously kill the dark lords he summons or they may overwhelm you. Use a quickening when the boss gets close to death. Use gambits to automatically use phoenix downs and potions so you don't have to keep your eyes glued to life bars. Hope this helps
Well I suggest till you wait until your party is at an average level of 40 at least, then make sure you also have the Bubble belt OR the Bubble spell, both of which you can buy from the Muthru Bazaar in Rabanester, once your a certain rank. If you fight him under these conditions he is pretty easy. I fought him with my characters all at 55 plus and beat him in under 2 minutes. So if you are 40 or so it shouldnt be too hard.
Before the battle, make sure you have at one person with a Pheasant Netsuke, which makes items stronger. That same person needs to have the license for Pheonix Lore, and have the Gambit of Ally status: K.O.-Pheonix Down. If you have all the lores, it will heal that member completely. You may also want to use Blizzara/Blizzaga to help get rid of Darklords that accompany it.
I was at an avg level of 48. Teleport there and stand next to the crystal and cast every single positive status effect on every character and quickly save again. Since you can't use magicks, set your gambits for each and ever character to phoenix down ko'd characters and to use x-potions for anyone below 50%. Use those two gambits as your top priorities. Set your other gambits for item based restorations for status effects, especially "stop". It would also help to equip the accessory that enhances healing items such as potions (sorry can't remember name). Equip the others with bubble belts and whatever the ones are that are immune to stop. Get your casters into some heavy armor with high attack power, since they can't use any magicks anyways.
Now for the fight. Start whupping on him. It won't take long until his little slaves join in. You HAVE to keep those little bastards in check. Once there is a good amount of them, use the biggest quickening chain you can, which should not only damage him pretty well, but also take out most of the monsters. Take the rest of them out, and you'll have a bit of time till he calls for more, but not much. Another thing that helped me, was to have everybody use horology on him back to back. I did the same thing for Traveler, but I don't think it did any damage to him :(
He's a very heavy gravity caster, but your gambits and x-potions should keep you alive a lot longer than without. If he happens to take all of you out, then switch all 3 of them out for the others, obviously. Once back in battle, have somebody use phoenix downs on the inactive, ko'd party by hitting the R1 key (just now picked up on that little trick). The others should be kicking his butt in the mean time. Just repeat that process and you should barely make it outta there alive.

If you have dark element type weapons and eskir berries the bird will die. also if you're a low level you will need healing stuff (potions,cura,etc.) I was a lvl 13 going against it killed me alot. so dark,darkra if you have it will work well.

You buy it in that exact location, the question is not where but WHEN. After you complete your task in the Pharos you end up back in Balfoheim, you can buy Holy only then.
You get holy late into the game right before you have to go to the battle ship near rabastre and after you complete the jounrey to phoaros and yhe series is right about that you can buy it in the quayside magickey
You have to finish the pharos at ridorrana part of the story.if you already did then just... look around for traveling merchants. the traveling merchants in the estersand, westersand, barhiem passage and various other places sell new things after you progress in the story.
It's after you finish pharos at ridoranna. then you can buy from balfoheim.

31 hours, 3 guys (Basch, Balthier, Vann) level 99 and the rest at 9 or 10, about 1 sidequest, 0 hunts (besides the mandatory one(s)

I played 240 hours all charackters are lv 99 gat the hotest sword in the game the sun sword and am still missing 2 unbeliavable bosses omega mk and one more guy who gat 20000000million life points you can only fight this guy when all your characktrers have lv 85 so guys ya ant finished the game yet
I think on my first file 78 hours and half the side quest done and 6 esper my vaan was a lvl 79 balthier and fan were lvl 76 and I had save the qeen defender and claymore

The lowest level is probly 12. I restarted the game and just leveled up like crazy.
Level 15 or 20 (You can do it at a lower level but at 15 or 20 the battle is fairly easy.)
11-13 would be about right. You can also use quickings on it or use knot of rusts on it. Those seem to deal enough damage on her. Just stick to it and you can beat her in no time. Good luck
What i did was level up as much as possible. she has 4073 hp so its not to hard. she is lvl. 10. ignore small batteries. cast blizzard not thunder. keep eveyone even basch at 70% or more hp. have ally: hp
The mimic queen is not that hard to kill use thunder, it is the stronest of all your attacks on a machine and the mimic queen is a machine and thus should go down in no time. also a quickening spell would'nt hurt to use either to defeat it. -Answer by:naphenro

You have to give it an elixer by going to the item menu and pressing R2 or L2 to target the magick jar. After he gets it, he'll hop around like crazy and let you kill him. (steal your elixer back before you do though) and then he will be in your bestiary.

If you killed it, it should be in your Bestiary. Here's a tip, though. Hold down the "flee" button until your Battle Info box says "It clamors for an Elixer!". Use an Elixer on it, and it'll hop around in circles no matter what you do to it, including stealing your Elixer back. But if you hit it straight off, it'll be mad and commence beating the stuffing out of you, and it won't let you use the Elixer on it to calm it down.

The game is different, but enjoyable. The story will remind you more of Tactics than it will FF10. The gameplay will almost remind you of an MMO. I was put off at first by that, but after 20+ hours, I'm enjoying it.

Other then FFVII which will always b the greatest in my eye, FFXII is my 2nd fav by far...havent got into the full story yet but the battle system, lisence board, and graphics are amazing and ive heard its longer then a lot of other final fantasy titles :)
I have been dissapointed in all the games since Final Fantasy IX.... I am very happy with FFXII. It's about time!
It's opening gingle is from one of the first FF's from the super nintendo era which was cool. it's no longer about running around and getting hit by random battles. You actually see the enemy and can decide to do battle and there is no down time waiting to get in and out of battle. I don't think the story line is as catchy at most others. The love story sub plot is missing. One character runs around in heals and skimpy lingere if you like that sort of thing. Great game play and choices to level up with license points. Lots of weapon and armor choices. I've played 25 hrs so far. I found the game for $40 online. I would have paid much more. The one pain in the butt is changing "gambits" all the time, essentially macros to tell you characters how to attack/heal in battle. You don't have to tell them every move. You can set them up for a strategy. It always has to be changed depending on if you're in an easy/hard/or boss area.
I still think ff7 was the best and had the best storyline but this one has the best graphics
I believe it is also the best FF game I have ever played in the series. It's very interactive with the hunts. The espers and quickening attacks are also very nice. I LOVE the gfx when one of the characters are doing a quickening. It's way better than FF VII.
The leveling up and license board are much better but i dont find the storyline very interesting, me and my boyfriend usually skip through it.

No where near as interesting as FF7 or FF8 as far as STORY and character design, but by far, this has the best INTERACTIVE GAMEPLAY and GRAPHICS. Kicks all other current gen RPGs onto the streets. This game is off the hook, a real RPG breakthrough
This game has a sweet battle system but the story line i think sucks, it is a very short game, beat in 40 hours, but thats not including the clan hunts and ultimate weapons and armor collected, i think the lisence system in it is so much better, your not forced to use stupid weapons like in the previous games, i give it a 8/10
It's pretty much like Final Fantasy Tactics meets Vagrant Story: straightforward political plotting merged with easy yet complicated gameplay. The story is somewhat interesting at a few places, but it's the sidequests and other optional merits that really gets the game into a somewhat addictive rate. If you're just in for the story, I suggest you pass; but if you're an avid RPG player searching for total perfection, you may have tons of lip-biting fun and endless hours on this title.
While Final Fantasy VII was groundbreaking in it's storyline, graphics and gameplay, Final Fantasy XII trumps it all. A long game with an impressive story, followed by fulfilling graphics, and great gameplay makes this the best in my eyes. As a Final Fantasy fan from FFI I am very pleased that this series continues to impress and would recommend it to any FF fan.
Great addition to the series. Battle system took some time to grow on me but after getting further into the game, I do like it better. Great game overall but I do think the storyline is probably the least interesting of all the games in my opinion.
When I first started the game, my first thought was something along the lines of "ohhhh, this is going to be different". However, turns out this was a good different. I'm over 20 hours into the game name and the storyline is amusing, the gameplay is great, and how extensive it is makes it a worthwhile buy.
Final Fantasy XII is well worth the money, so save up! The storyline is different from all the other games which is a nice change. I've played 100+ hours and it is getting very interesting. I'm leveled at 50+ each player. Just like the other FF games, it pays off to level yourself throughout the game. It saves time and frustration later. Graphics are the best yet, the plot thickens as you go along. Don't undersetimate the storyline of FF XII, I think we'll all be surprised in the end...By the way, you can find the game online (e-bay), much cheaper than retail...
I live in Indonesia and it costs only Rp 5000 (USD $0.50) to purchase a pirated video game CD. Not that I don't have any intention of buying the original CD, but you will find 80% of the CDs being sold in Indonesia are pirated and 20% of them are originals. So, in short, it is freaking hard to find original CDs in here

Ff vii was, of course, the best. I dont care what anyone says, but ff vii was the VERY BEST. but, this one is my second favorite.
I too am a big FF fan, but I think this game lacks in a lot of areas. Coming off of FFX and FFX-2 I realized that there haven't been solid characters since FF7. I mean it really looks like Michael Jackson designed Vaan. I have no idea why we can't have the more grown up characters instead of these children for characters. I love how they incorporated the old with the new. As somone said above the music is even from the older versions. You can actually hear melodies from just about all of the games. The original melody was from the first FF on regular Nintendo-still a good game. The story line for FF12 sucks though! I thought FFX had the best. FFX-2 seemed to be a capitalization on money and not really about the game. FF7 had a great storyline as well. However, the graphics are awesome, especially for the PS2. I wish they had a lot more rendered scenes though. I mean that's what you are playing to see anyways. The game mode is awesome though. I like how you can choose your enemies and how the battle and wandering modes meld together. Overall in FF terms I would give it a 6 out of 10. I only say that because I really don't like the story line and that is what you play these games for anyways. Worth the purchase? Yes. Worthy to be in the elite FF games-absolutely NOT.
If you enjoyed ANY of the FF games since FF VII, then you'll like this one...they just keep getting better (different, but better).
Search the ozmone plain its to the west
It is down soutwest of ozmone plains
In the Ozmone plain. keep heading south from the field of fallen wings until you get to Haulo Green then just head west. you should then find three black chocobo, 2 of them should be sleeping so just run past them, a viper will then attack but just ignore it and jun to the closest exit, you will then be in jahara
During the rain season, go to the giza plains, then go all the way south to where the exit is to the westersand, go even more south there and you should find a narrow pass inside the giza plains that will lead to the ozmone plains, then keep going southwards, you should find black chocobos in the south-western part of the plains, keep going west there and voila, you are in Jahara (Garif Village)
- OK first of all it HAS to have started raining in the Giza plains it will move the log were the warewolves are.next u have to head south through the ozmone plains( carefull theres tough monster if ur not a high level) after you cannot go south any further go left youll get to a place with lots of snakes keep going left past some black chocobos and you'll be in Jahara the Garif village.

No matter what route you take to get to ghis a machine is available to reset the alarm for 60 seconds so reset the alarm and run like the wind. When you reach Ghis the best way to kill him is a mist charge. Ghis is only a level 14 so if you spent your first several hours of the game levelling up this should be easy
The best way to get to ghis is to enter the second area after the save crystal and start killing soldier to get a high kill chain. When the chain is high enough, items have the chance of healing members of your party or casting protect or shell. This will save your party mp on your way to ghis. In the next room you should fine a security panel, activate this to prevent more enemies from appearing, and kill the existing enemies. Use the security console again and get outside of ghis's room. Now recharge you MP through walking, you should not see any more soldiers in this area despite the alarm.
Get 2 or 3 lvl 1 quickenings and max your mp. Enter the fight and chain 3 lvl one quickenings in a row to unleesh inferno, which kills ghis instantly.

There is no easy way to get to him. Dont fight all the imperials just run throught it. When u get to Ghis just keep on attacking and heal when u have to. Its really easy
I think the easiest way to defeat monster, boss, esper, blablabla in this ff is: U HAVE TO LEVEL UP YOUR CHARACTER, HAVE GOOD WEAPON, ARMOUR, ACCESORIES, OBTAIN ALL QUICKENING. I dont have very good weapon in the beginning of the game but at level 25 with only penelo in the party, I managed to learn quickening very early in the game, I am now at level 70 going to giruvegan, I can kill most of them with one or two strike, its a hard work but worth it! the clock at the game now stating 370:22:25
Look at my excalibur map up there......it shows the path....and ultima is all the way on the top of the map.....and there should be a save crystal....

But sometimes, like the Carrot hunt, you have to NOT kill any creatures in the area AT ALL until you defeat the mark.

Dude the masamune only does 95 damage. go to the eastersand village on the south bank and the merchant complaining about his chocobo taking his money sell golden axes that do 110 damage.
You can get one from stealing from Gilgamesh, and another from defeating him and talking to Montblanc. by the way, if you get the genji gloves as well, and your hp is under 6%, then you'll be hitting an average of 9 times! under 6% is very hard though...
If you beat gillamesh twice montblanc will give you it for a reward find him the second time deap in the mines were you meat larsa

Before going to the gate and summoning Belias you have to make sure you step on those little circle things and fallow the illusion that appears until it takes you to the gate and then summon belias. Unless you do the illusion thing first it won't work.
Many people ask this question. Summon Belias then touch the gate. easy huh?

I hate reverse and I try not to use it but it seems that it may be impossiable to beat omega weapon or yiazmat with out using it problem is when I cast it the spell only lasts 12 seconds or so is there anyway to make it last longer or another way to beat those two marks ive gotten yiazmat down to ten bars then the goes crazy and I cant keep my attacker alive and I dont even want to talk about how fast omgea weapon kills me im at level 70 I dont think leveling up would be that helpfull so I need help thanks?

Have your main character use a gambit casting beserk on himself. use the others as healers. Have one set up to cast dispel on your main battle character and the other set up to cast reverse so when it wears off of the main person, they recast it. Also set up an arise gambit in case someone dies. If you find yourself running out of magic, steal some from you beserked character by using syphon. the main character beserked will regenerate mp because he/she is constantly attacking

You're missing something. The Battle Character needs to have decoy on. So he will be attacked and not the others. And your Gambit isn't complete. Like if someone has status Stop > Chronos Tear
or Ally status=Petrify > Gold Needle
And if someone's HP Curaga
and Ally status=Sap >Regen

If you mean the one for Garamsythe waterway key you must complete the white mousse hunt. once you speak to the moogle go to the sluce control thing and go right. This area has level 39 monsters so beware. Make your way to the area and fight it. Return to the moogle and you get the slouce key.

Where can I find cluckatrogs?? ( I dont know their name exactly) but they say they are seen at giza plains, northern bank at the rains and when they see humes they go away, how can I hunt these creatures? help...

They are not appear actually in the rains, they only appear in a sunny day, fist kill all hyenas and giza bunnies in that area quickly then go to the other area (not rabanastre), then go back in the northern bank, if they don't appear, go in and go out again, if they do not appear I the sunny day, try in a cloudy day, not the rainy day.....
NOTE: Cloudy day is when the clouds are going to form a greyish colored nimbus cloud.......

The easy way is to use fran in solo then go out if they not show up go back again its much easier than killing all monsters

It's called the gigas gate use belias it's not that hard if you thnk about it. for example the gigas gate can only be opened bay a gigas that is what belias is for at that point in the game. -Answer by:naphenro

Ok just go to the temple and equipt the dawn shard on ashe then at the first side of the temple (in front of statues head) touch the little pedestial thing and I think you teleport. then its easy from there.
