When traveling south of feywood, how do you enter the gigas door way?

It took me a while to figure this out, but it is genius... Whoever thought of this is brilliant. When it asked for you to read the inscription it says the "Gigas summoner" may enter. Whatever character you have Belias with is who needs to go to the gate. Go to your action screen and "Summon" Belias. He is the key to opening the gate. Summon him and sit back and watch. A word of warning, though...If you are level 50 or lower, I suggest you level up because once inside Gurivegan you must fight another Gigas boss which is not easy. Use "Holy", "Hasteaga" and Summon your espers (not Mateus) and use quickenings to kill him. You'll have to heal continually, so make sure you have Hi-potions and Pheonix Downs. Once you defeat him you will be able to pass into Guirvegan. Make sure you have some protection from "Blind" because there are gargoyles inside that cast blind continually. Good Luck...

OK, when you get to the summit where the exodus falls from the sky, a protective and very annoying feild comes up preventing you from using items. you should only tackle this mark if your party members are all lvl 35+ unless you are a very adanced and tactical player. I took him on at average lvl 35 and it was no cakewalk so as soon as you hit lvl 35 don't go bounding off thinking it will be easy. Sorry for all the details anyway onto the actual battle. It may take awile to kill him but just keep pounding on him. Always have basch and either fran or baltier fighting. your party leader should be your next strongest person. Turn Basch's gambit's off except for "Foe Nearest Visible" "Attack." Pay attention to the battle text at the top of the screen and when you see him ready to use scathe (or whatever that attack is called) and try to spread your party out. (it will only use this spell when reduced to about half health. If you are all clumped together all three of your selected party members will die. make sure nobody is wearing the dawn shard and have Basch use his quickenings until he doesn't have anymore MP then give him the dawn shard. You must always have two living people out attempting to raise the third. If you have one attempting to raise two fallen party members you are going to run out of MP eventually or he will kill you before you raise somebody else. When you reduce him to about 20% health left he will start to get desperate and cast less spells and attack more. This can be a good or bad thing depending on what your defence and evade lvl is. Also his attacks are faster than his spells. Remeber to blow all of your hard earned cash on items to use before the battle (just kidding.)

P.S: I suggest that if you are a beginner that you be at least lvl 38-42 with the best armour weapons and accesorries. ;)

Where is the ixon in the pharos place? what is it called?

Ixion is in penumbra. use the elevator after completing the pharos and it will ask if you want to go to penumbra. do so. There are tons of hard monsters down here so if they appear Ixion is not here. Ixion only appears if there are no monsters in penumbra so keep using the elevator to go up and down until he appears and there are no other monsters in the area.

It is the penumbra. When you get into the first part of the pharos you go to the dais and go to the penumbra. You should be at least lvl 70 to go down into the penumbra.It will take you a while to kill it just be patient and you will find him.

Ixion can be found on the 2nd level. You can encounter him in the rings surrounding the elevator, or in the darkend halls in the north and south wings. You know you're getting close when enemies disapear from that floor.

PS. Ixion's health is around 150,00 to 300,000. 150,000 is in the rings around the elevator. Obviously try to catch him there. I found him on 2B Floor on the ring.

It's below. you take the elevator/disc thingy down and it'll show up, or it won't. you have to keep trying. I can be found on any of the floors below but it's most commonly on the first level down, the penumbra (?). you have to light the lanterns on those floors, with black orbs, in order to get access to the lower levels. I think you have to be at a certain level in the game for the disc of descendance to work though.

The ixion can appear on any 3 of the lower floors (penumbra, umbra or abyssal) it's completely random. if there are no beasts around when you walk around the circular section of the level's then it's about to appear it can take a while though (at leaset a minute)

In the pharos subterra, from the wellspring (the room with the telport crystal), take the dias of ascendance down to penumbra. he'll randomly appear there as you're fighting your way through.

note this is some of the toughest random mobs in the game, and you should be at least level 60 to even stand a chance.

To find Ixion, you need to have finished the Pharos at Ridorana part of the storyline. Assuming you have, you will want to teleport there and then access the elevator to Penumbra. Once there you will want to make sure that there are no monsters about for Ixion to appear. If there are monsters just take the elevator back up and down. Make sure you equip Rubber Suits though You want him to appear in the circle outside instead of one of the rooms.... his HP is lower in the outer ring.

I've already past the Great Crystal portion of the story line, but can anyone tell me how to navigate the rest of the crystal. I'm trying to get Excaliber.?

Now I know where Excalibur is ..... the monsters in there are so strong I kinda gave up and just sought out the Esper at the top. I recommend you use pen and paper and mark your path as you go. I missed a lot of gates just getting to Ultima, so if Excalibur is in there you can guarantee I will.

the excalibur is located directly under the words MAP 2. you need to open the saggitarius gate and fight some really hard mom bombs (i ran). plus there is a time limit. go back to the platform and go through the saggitarius 2 gate. just follow the map from them on. most of the plain white circles have monsters so be careful. at the chest there is a shadnir guarding it then 2 more appear. they arent too hard though. if the case doesnt have the excaliber, leave the platform and go back 3 circles/screens and come back. it took me 3 tries and you can only get it once. good luck :)

I printed off a detailed map of the crystal, its very helpful. Be careful when trying to move through the crystal to get the excalibur and other jars because if you dont have a map you could wind up at the door to Ultima or the optional boss Omega Mark 12. enter the crystal and go down the middle path to activate the gate scorpio switch and go back to get through the gate. go and teleport from way stone IX to X. Go down and you will see a teleport stone and 2 gates, from where you are at the teleport you came from, go to one of the paths to the south of the gates, it doesnt matter which one because they lead to the same place. When you enter one of the new areas there will be some bombs. go to the area after that and you will see a gate switch. press it and go back to the area with 2 gates, again it doesnt matter which path you take. press the second gate to get to teleport stone XII and take it to XIV. Go left and you will have to pass through 2 areas with enemies. After those, you will be at an area with 3 paths,only take the one straight in front of you because the other path that goes north takes you higher to ultima, omega mark 12 and the other jars. but anyway when you get to the area in front of you it will be a dead end, you should encounter 2 horse like things but there are 1 or 2 jars there, one will have excalibur. Just retrace your steps and you will get out safely. but if you dont know where to go, follow these steps: Go back through the area with 3 paths, going straight, and through the 2 areas with nothing in them but enemies, and back to way stone XIV, take it to XII and go to the area with only 1 gate showing and a teleport stone. Take the path just above the remaining gate to teleport stone X. take it to IX and walk to teleport VIII. turn right and your out of the crystal.......If you want this map I found mine on google images, just type in: ff12 map of the great crystal. It should come up. Good luck!

It dont mean anything and it dont help you. I'll help you...

The bottle colors you should have are red, blue, yellow, green, and black.

After getting all these, here are the places you should look in:

Go to the Garamsythe Waterway and into the area where all those sluice machine thingys are. Now try going near all the light bulb things or whatever there. One of them should have a faint glow. Press X. Then the bottle breaks and youll get a message.

The other place you should look in is the southeast area in Nabreus deadlands near the water and there will be a boat , go near it and there will be a faint glow. Press X. Then the bottle breaks and youll get another message.

The third place will be the Mosphoran Highwaste Babbling Vale area. Check all the shrines and one of them should have a faint glow. Press X again. Then the bottle breaks and youll get another message.

The fourth one now... Go to the salikawood and go to the area near the Nabreus deadlands, check one of the houses/huts and there will yet be another glow. Press X. Then the bottle breaks and youll get another message.

Ok... the last one is confusing....kinda
Press triangle, go to inventory, then look in key items. Now read all the clues the colored bottles show you... one of them should contain a clue like this:

1 2 - 3 - - 6 - 8 - - (the clue is not exactly like this so look at the clue on the bottle).... those are the windmills of Cerobi Steppe. Now listen, you can either turn the windmills on and off. All you have to do is go in front of the windmill and it will say No 8. Windmill or something. Press X and youll see a moogle, if its off, he'll ask if you want it on. If its on, he'll ask if you want it off.
Here's how to answer the clue. Start at No. 1 Windmill, should be at the bottom of the Cerobi Steppe map. Pretend the clue is this:

1 2 - 4 - - 6 - 8 - -

If you see the number 1, then No.1 Windmill should be on. As you can see, after 2, number 3 is missing so that means No.3 Windmill should be off. Every " - (the negative sign on the clue)" should be off. Do this in order starting from No.1 Windmill. If you get/did it right, you should get the message after you finish No.10 windmill.

You've got all the messages and here's what ya do. Go to the barheim passage. Make sure you do that sidequest where you can get the Barheim Key back but I cant tell you cuz itz long. If you do have it, then good. Now enter the barheim passage. As you know, after you get the Key, there will be new passages. Go to Great Central Passage. You can see, there will be two new paths there. One leading to frogs, and one leading to bombs. Go to the right path which should be with the bombs and you'll be in an area called East-West Bypass. No proceed foward until you see some stairs with a short tunnel. Go in and you'll end up in the Zeviah Span. Once youve entered turn right (i think) and go straight where you'll see bombs and skeletons. There area you're in will be a bit confusing so trying finding ways to get to the bottom area in you're map. And while you're makin your way through, there will be a cart blocking the way so youre gunna have to slam it down with your weapon. In the end, after crossing the blue dots, you'll end up in the west annex. Look around the area, now check your map. In the area you're in, you should a + (plus sign) kind of path on top of the area in your map. Now go to the top of the plus sign thingy on your map. In front of you will be other blue dots. Enter and you'll end up in a dead end. Now go forward and a scene will appear. GILGAMESH COMES BACK! And he will give you another fishing rod which will be called a Matamune. Masamune is the sword. Now youre down with the clues. Go all the way back to the fishing place and give the rod to the fishing guy.

How do I beat the fire warrior to obtain the dawn shard I cant beat him he always kills my team with his attacks and my quickenings hardly phase him even with 5 quickening combos wat do I do?

A1:

First, you should have your characters at least level 15-20 with somewhat strong weapons and armor. You should also have a lot of phoenix downs and hi-potions. You should also have at least a level two quickening for at least one of your characters. I had Vaan, Basch, Ashe, and, of course, Vossler since he was a guest in my party. Ashe was actually the only one that had quickenings and she has the first, second, and third levels. She had her beginning weapon and armor at the time and she was actually level ten. I used her Maelstrom Bolt, the level three quickening, and got it to chain about eight times. After the eighth chain, a special water based attack occurred to go along with it and all of that alone took out about three-fourths of Belias's hit points. Then I switched Ashe in for Balthier and let Balthier, Vaan, Basch, and Vossler finish Belias off with a few regular attacks. It was really easy for me but it just depends on your skills in the game. You should try different things. You can try it the way I did but it still just depends on your skill and speed with your hands because occasionally to get a quickening to chain, you have to quickly continuously press a certain button while holding down the R2 button to shuffle to make it chain, so speed in yourself also matters. Good luck fighting Belias.

This fire warrior is actually Belias, the first esper you obtain. His element is fire so 5 quickenings may have activated the concurrence Inferno, he will absorb this. He likes to put oil on you which will increase damage of fire attacks so buy lots of hankerchiefs to get rid of that. I was level 20-25 when I beat him. If you have to put a character in berserk status. If you can, buy a weapon that uses the element water since water is Belias's weakness. This will give you an advantage in the fight. If you have all 3 quickenings for all your characters then I can show you how to get the water concurrence.

I am level 80 on each character, I am using a weapon that it's attack power is (%150 + ) and I have armors that is (%60 +) How is it possible to defeat the third accent of Vayne? I was level 45 and used 3 characters the entire time and beat the game easy o.O a little too easy in fact.

One item. Aegis Shield. At lvl 45 I just pulled out my three chars using shields and almost 1/3 of his attacks were blocked. Made it pretty damn easy, I think I needed to sub in once to rez people.

Have bubble belt equipped(which will double the char hp) for all 3 chars and have one char cast Renew constantly. I beat him pretty easily with this setting.

Very simple. just have three aegis shields and demon shields to switch around. this will make the last boss fight a lot easier. when the undying has a magic barrier on it will start casting magic on you. when that happens you switch your shields to aegis shields. the shield is very useful against blocking magic so things should work out until the magic barrier wears off. when that happens he will agian put up another barrier, but this time it is immune to physical attacks. that means he will start assaulting your party with physical attacks too. thats when the demon shield comes in. the shield has a high percentage in blocking physical attacks, so things should work out until the barrier wears off. repeat the same process as the battle continues and you shall defeat the undying fairly easy. oh, forgot to mention. when the undying has the barrier that makes him immune to physical attacks, it will start emmensing these powerful attacks that will probably KO one of your party members. when that is about to happen, prepare to heal just incase, but since you have the demon shield out, it will most liklely to block the attack.

I was disappointed at how easy this was, if your having a hard time with him I suggest you take a hard look at your gambit setup. I also recommend you ignore enemies like Omega MK XII, Hell Wyrm & Yiazmat because if you think Vayne is hard these bosses will make you snap your game in half...I beat them BTW ^^

First of all i'd just like to take a second to laugh at your lack of skills. if you have zodiac spear and grand armor or whatever armor that is and on top of that you're level 80 vayne's third form should be easy. now for the advice, bubble belts, sage rings/white masks, and rubber suits. keep the bubble belts on all the time, sage ring/white mask when he starts casting piercing holy, and rubber suits if he ever casts piercing thunderaga, although I don't think he does... well anyway just do that and buy some high magic resist/evade armors/shields and you'll be fine

You can get more espers throughout the game, there are a couple storyline bosses that are espers, others are sidequest that you will have to do.

There is an esper that you will get in the Stilshrine of Miriam. There are also optional espers, such as Adrammalech in the Zertinan Caverns and Exodus in the Mosphoran Highwaste. But in order to be able to obtain exodus you must have fixed the gate to the Phon Coast in the Salikawood.

There are thirteen espers, five of which are storyline espers, meaning you obtain them while playing through the entire game. the first is belias, in the tomb of raithwall, second is mateus, in the stillshire at miriam, third is shemhazai in giruvegan, fourth is hashmal in pharos, and fifth is famfrit also in pharos. also there are optional espers. you can get zalera and addramelech after you finish the tomb of raithwall, but it's recommended you progress further in the game before doing so. zalera is in a secret area of the barhiem passage, and addramelech is in the zertinian caverns. for cuchulainn you have to do wraith and white mousse hunts, he is in the garamsythe waterway. you can face exodus after you finish the salikawood part of the story, he is in a secret area of the mosphoran highwaste and involves a sort of annoying puzzle. zeromus is available after you beat judge bergan, and is located in a secret area in the stillshire of miriam only excessable with a waystone with the stone of the condemner. the most annoying esper to get probably is chaos. available after you finish wraith, white mousse and orthros hunts he is located in the necrohol of nabudis after you complete a long and boring side quest involving some guy and his necklace. ultima, the "holy" esper is located in the great crystal in giruvegan and is only available after you finish the great crystal in giruvegan. Zodiark, the "dark" esper is only available after you have 10 espers, including storyline ones, and talk to the geomancer in jahara. he is located in a secret area in henne mines. he is often called the hardest one to beat.

Yea, that guy is kinda hard. I suggest you get Gillie Boots to make yourself immune to Oil. Then when you fight him, make sure you beat his minions before you fight him so it gets easier to focus on just one guy.

He's a pain in the bum because he keps renewing. What I did was use my strongest character to attack while the other two worked on healing. When he starts to get down to about 30% hp, as soon as he tries to run away to renew, quickening him. The one you attack with should have full hp, and just amke sure your other guys have at least some. I 12 hit him on the quickening try to get it as high as you can.

Just equip everyone with gillie boots so that you are immune to oil. Then hit him to more than half way so he doesn't recharge his life. Finally use as many mist attacks as possible on him. The mist attacks may finish him off completely but if not a few more hits will do the trick.

I did this by jumping in and immediately using Mist Quickenings. Try to get a 9-12 Combo and when you finish with the first three characters you have on, immediately switch your party to the other three and use their Mist quickenings (though you probably won't be able to get 9-12 combo for some reason). If you don't switch your people fast enough, you'll give the guy a chance to regenerate most of his HP, then you're screwed, so make sure you do the quickenings IMMEDIATELY. good luck :)

Summon adremalech at the start and sit back until he kills all the minions, then have everybody attck until kingbomb is at 30% life and before he runs off and tries to renew himself, have all three party members use quickening. King bomb sould be dead by then.

What I did was get everyone with beneficial things like haste, shell, and protect. Then I cast berserk on all of them except 2 so you can control 1 guy on each team. Then just unleash them and once they lose berserk they can use quickening and then he was all the way down.

I ran into this guy by accident earlier on. He is really easy if you keep casting silent on him. Then he wont be able to summon or renew. Then just hammer away on him with your favorite weapon. you shouldnt even have to bother with quickenings

I am able to find the area that carrot is supposed to be in...the Viera lady is there to help me out and everything.... problem is I cant find him. She says dont kill anything, so I dont....I just run back and forth looking at everything possible.... carrot never shows up... is there something I'm missing? why cant I find carrot?

If you REALLY cant beat him, try lvling up for a while, get 2-3 levels more than your current lvl....

Aite imma glitch user .. so here wut i did .. first kill those 3 soldiers behind u or they will argo too much( you shudve kill at least one before he Ghis cast protect, finish off the other 2 as Ghis is running to you). Here is the funny part, Ghis is a very stubborn person so have him target one of your guyz ( cast slow if you want this to be easier but i didnt) make sure the one he is targeting is the leader, now keep running around in circles while Ghis chase you. Your party memebers should be beating him up as he just chases you and ignoring them. Justi n case he turns on one of you party members, quickly changed the attacked party member to leader and repat the whole process.

With the strategy you get a Ghis who runs bak and forth taking hit hahahaha

Level up for about an hour right after you get princess ashe, you will most likely get a warp mote, use this on the three guards in the begining leaving only judge ghis, set a characters gambit to potion the others. you will get around 80 potions for training about an hour

I am fighting the Final (thrid Form of Vayne) and I am stuck... i am REALLY strong and I can beat the Bosses VERY easily but the final form of Vayne does a one hit kill after he transforms (a third time). I beat him with guys at LV51, I think you must set your gambits right, #1 being @50%hp use curaja, #2 let one defender/tank use "decoy" "protect" "shell" to one character, and get rid of diseases/stop/whatever/buffs/haste etc., #3 is use ARISE (to give full hp back when one member dies), #4 attack. Did you update your armors to the best available in town/street merchants? If your guys are wiped out totally swap one character and arise everyone else back. I think ARISE is the main ingredient you need.

You can try bubble on everybody, that doubles their HP. It also makes it alot easier if you have raise or arise combined with the ally: status: KO gambit.

Have you tried casting bubble, or setting your gambits to revive your allies when they die? He probably has a paling around him that makes him immune to physical and magical attacks, if that's the case, try casting reflect on yourself and on him, then cast a spell on yourself.

VAYNE, at one point in the fight turns INVINCIBLE.
Your quickenings, magic, regular attacks will not do any damage. The effect is only temporary though. So, I suggest healing everyone, STOP CASTING black magic(conserve mp) untill the effect wears off.
Then, pummel him.

I had one player set for gambit Curaja with HP < 40% so no one would be at the point where they could get hit once and died. Bubble belt on all characters is a good idea too. You can use quickenings if you want too. But after that's done, be sure to use charge on the character with gambit set for Curaja. But besides that, just keep laying into him.

Ok when the screen pops up itll say the characters name with a button next to it if you press that button itll go to there quickening and start a chain if no names have a button press R2 and it will shuffle the name's button things until one pops up then press it quick before it ends

First initiate a quickining. After it is initiated depending on how many characters in your current on screen part has quickinings their names will appear on the combo list. To start a combo you must press R2 to randomize the list at the bottom right hand side. When a button pops up beside the characters name press that button( [],O,^ ) to either charge his/her gauge(no magic=charge) or continue the combo. That's pretty much it.

When using quickens, always have multiple guys with them equiped, therefore you can link them together. After launching the initial quicken, you will see a list of characters in your active party with quickens. If one is available imediatly, there will be a button next to there name. Press that button. If none is available, hit R2. This will shuffle their quickens. Repeat that until someone becomes active.

Alright, this is an easy one. When you do one person's quickening spell, you might have noticed some darkened out spells above the time bar. Well, if they are all grayed out, then you should press R2 to shuffle and try to get one not grayed out, then if you press that, it will hit the monster again. Sometimes you can do mist charges, which allow you to do another quickening spell with a character that has used all of it's MP. But if you keep at pressing the right buttons, and get it high enough, they can do a LARGE magic attack and cause a huge amount of damage.

Make sure each character in your main party has one or more quickenings. then after you start a chain continue to press R2, when a you see a white phrase next to a character at the bottom right hand portion of the screen above the timer, press the corrisponding button, then press it again to continue the chain. The best way is to make sure each member of your party has quickenings then swap out an unused character for someone with no MP then have them do their quickening and chain with those in your main party.

Man oh man whoever asked this dumb question, answered it, and contridicted theirselves. If you see that you were doing Mist chains do some more it's only common sense that however you made whatever chains you SAW yourself doing you obviousley knew how to do it. Press Square, Triangle, and Circle fast like a Maniac put some duck tape on the R2 button and HIT THEM BUTTONS. That's about the bottom line.

Adrammelech. idk if my people are really good enough yet but everytime i fight him i get him close but then i die my averge level is around 35 or 36 is that good enough??? and if not where should i train

That should be good enough. what i did was start off with one person, and go in and use a quickening. then add a member so i could use more quickenings. and keep going with that strategy. i was like lvl 25 so you should be in good shape.

Im going to answer my own question i finaly beat him and what i did was got my people up to about level 40 and then got every one 3 quickenings and just had my first 3 people have a very long quickining chain wich got him down about 3/4 of his health then used my last 3 people and finished the fight with another chain

Around level 40... I used my weak party to start the battle with a long quickening chain and then they all got killed rather fast :)... my main party came in, bubbled them all, hasted them all and they went to town on him... once he got down to about 20% health - I used another long quickening and he fell rather easily after that...

just endure a long battle with him and keep at least one healing cura when health gets below 60-70%

At level 20 - 25 you can beat that Esper. Use one character at a time, make them do atleast 3 Quickening Combos. Inferno, Torrent, Ark Blast will sure do some damage.

'Be around 40 or so' - This is the most unhelpful response I have seen in a while! If you're on 40 it makes this esper easy. Also, if you have gambit foe: flying and telekinesis or strong magik this makes it very easy.

35-36 is enough. Try useing your quickening. The best way to use quickening is that you should always choose the first chip, so you can make more hits. If your 3 characters dont have any SP, exchange one of your character who has SP.
